What is Going On at Pro-Abortion Sanford Health?

Voices Carry brings some much-needed perspective to the anti-Initiated Measure 11 memo "leaked" from Sanford Health in Sioux Falls yesterday.

In 20006 when we brought forth Referred Law 6--which was considerably more restrictive than Initiated Measure 11-- why didn't Sanford Health (then Sioux Valley Hospital) object?

When Sanford Health only performs abortions in cases already covered under Initiated Measure 11, what's the problem?

Pastor Steve had an answer which I think is the only logical one:

ANSWER: At that time, 30 million Sanford dollars were not yet committed and tied directly to the long-term stability of Roe v Wade.

2. Given the known relationship between Sanford and Planned Parenthood, what would they say to the public now questioning the timing of this "leak" and their professed "neutrality" on this issue.

It seems when certain people are determined to maintain abortion for any reason whatsoever (remember, 84.6% of abortions in South Dakota are done because "The mother did not desire to have the child" and only 1.9% are done for the reasons covered by IM 11 exceptions combined), somehow there seems to be every reason under the sun why we must keep the unrestricted killing legal.

It would be interesting to see what personal and professional relationships exist behind the scenes for many who, for irrational reasons, oppose the life-saving Initiated Measure 11.

How many of these "professionals" may not be speaking so much from an objective, clinical perspective, but maybe because they or someone they care about had an abortion and is unwilling to come to terms with the sin of what they've done?

How many of these "professionals" aren't motivated so much by an objective, clinical opinion, but from a long-term financial stake in the abortion industry and related industries?

These things would indeed be interesting to know, if we were able to pull back the veil of the "professional" image they put forth and see what's really motivating their hearts.

Thanks to the insight and investigative efforts of Voices Carry, perhaps we'll see that veil pulled back even wider in the next two weeks.
