Some Believe Obama Responsible for SNL Skit

The sad demise of NBC (owned by General Electric) as a viable, serious and entertaining television network is no longer a subject for debate. This week’s Satuday Night Live falls into line with Oberman, Maddow and Mathews, attacking Govenor Palin with viscious and scurrilous innuendo that borders on slander. In an unprecedented display of hatred, maliciousness and hubris, SNL has produced a skit that accuses Todd Palin of incest with his daughters. This from the tolerant Left who have decried the practice of character assassination and the “politics of personal destruction.” There is reason to believe that B. Hussein Obama personally approved this skit and may have even suggested the idea to SNL writers. Obama has not yet shown evidence to the contrary.

From WorldNetDaily:

NBC jokes: Todd Palin has sex with daughters
'Saturday Night Live' skit suggests Sarah's husband guilty of incest

‘What about the husband?’ asked a Times reporter [in the SNL skit] during a mock assignment meeting for the paper. ‘You know he's doing those daughters. I mean, come on. It's Alaska.’

The assignment editor for the Times, portrayed by actor James Franco, responded: ‘He very well could be. Admittedly, there is no evidence of that, but on the other hand, there is no convincing evidence to the contrary. And these are just some of the lingering questions about Governor Palin.’

As election day nears we can be sure that this is not the last or the worst that the Obamites have in store for Americans. Machine politics, à la Chicago, knows no limits when it comes to appropriating power.

B. Hussein Obama should start showing S. Louise Palin a little more respect!

And there is reason to believe that the author of this piece persaonlly approved the 9/11 attacks and may have even suggested the idea to Bin Laden. After all, he has never shown any evidence to the ocntrary.

Sheesh. Some logic. And if you had any sense you would understand that the similar statement in the SNL SKIT was a parody of exactly that sort of twisted logic so prevalent in the witch-hunting "right".

A meeting of the minds, at last, Alex!

Actually, I use his middle name for no more sinister reason than Obama has told the press not to. As Time put it, "So maybe the H-word is more like the N-word: you can say it, but only if you are an initiate. Blacks can use the N-word; Obama supporters can use the H-word."

Like a rebellious teenager, a sure way to get me to do something is to tell me that I can't.

Call NBC and let them know how you feel: 1-818-840-4444

Exactly, Pegleg, the "religious left" is so full of hatred that they will use even comedy skits to plant absurd allegations against innocent persons. To claim that it was only a parody is disingenuous. NBC is in the tank for Obama, as is the rest of the MSM and you can see proof of it nightly on Chris "The Tingler" Mathews and Keith Oberdork and even Tom Brokaw.

I did contact NBC and SNL about this but have not yet received a reply. I'm not holding my breath.

Uh ... the skit was about the alleged liberalness of the media who allow baseless attacks against politicians ... like the whole "Obama is a muslim" and "B. Hussein" "he is unamerican and won't salute the national anthem" tripe that the right particularly WND and other "news sources" have propagated. The right has enough to worry about Palin without having to comment on comedy show bits.

As for namecalling ... couldn't "Dr" Theo have made his point without namecalling? so much for moral superiority.

Oh, I see! The SNL skit was a condemnation of the bias of the MSM and really had nothing to do with planting a rumor about Todd Palin. I just wish they’d tried another way to make their point. They could have done a piece about, say, Bill and Hillary pimping their daughter Chelsea to help finance their political ambitions. Wait a minute! That’s been done, as I recall. It was MSNBC correspondent for Chris “the Tingler” Mathews, David Shuster who said that, no right-wing “witch hunter” he.

OK, how about a piece about Michelle Obama and how she insisted her daughters have clitorectomies (“female circumcision”) so as to conform to the traditions of her husband’s religious beliefs? Yeah, that would have made the point really well! The MSM could then insist on photos to prove the story wrong. Would anyone think such a skit offensive? Would you?

Dr. Theo,

If nothing else, I hope you're at least not SURPRISED that something like this has happened. It's election season, after all. We can't expect everyone - anyone, rather - to play nice.

Dr. Theo said...

As for name calling...I guess the monikers I gave to Matthews and KO were a bit over the top. I guess it's the "witch hunter" in me.

Scare quotes around dr. wouldn't be analogous to name calling, would it, Anonymous? (Although Theo is a pseudonym, I am an MD and a university professor, so you may call me doctor or professor. Either is appropriate.)

I thought the SNL skit was just making fun of the media. The Todd Palin thing was a jab at the media elite who might think rural America is full of incest.

I thnk you're stretching there, Dr. Theo.

"I thnk you're stretching there, Dr. Theo."

Maybe so, Anonymous. It's not like there has been a concerted effort by the Dems and the media to destroy Gov. Palin. I guess I'm just overly sensitive.

I'd like you to consider the scenario that I suggested about Michelle and female circumcision. Would you have thought such a skit was a harmless jab at the media elite? Seriously, would you?

No, Alex, I am not surprised. That's how the Chicago machine has worked for years--you do not campaign against you opponent by persuading the voters, you seek to destroy the opposition, mercilessly and utterly.

Is that really worse than what the Republicans do - exploit the stupidity of their constituents and emphasize a candidate's personality rather than his/her experience and policy positions?

Conservative voters don't care about where Palin stands on the economy, health care, etc. All they need to know is that she's a spunky, attractive hockey mom with a special-needs baby and a teenage daughter whose sexual irresponsibility deserves sympathy rather than scorn. Until you actually look at Palin's lack of experience - not to mention the fact that it took her six years to earn her bachelor's (in journalism, no less, hardly relevant for commander in chief) - what's NOT to like about her?

Dr. Theo said...

There you go again, Alex. I thought you had turned a new leaf and were going to try to have a rational discussion, but I was mistaken.

You seem to know everything about what makes conservatives, Republicans and Christians tick. But as Ronaldo Magnus once said, "Well, the trouble with our liberal friends is not that they are ignorant, but that they know so much that isn’t so."

Dr. Theo said...

To all you libs:

This Palin chick has really gotten into your heads, hasn't she? You'd much rather try to besmirch her than to sing the praises of the Obamessiah, with his 143 days in the Senate, years as a street rabble-rouser, and an affirmative action law degree.

Bob Ellis said...

Exactly the opposite is true of Sarah Palin, Alex. Conservatives are enthusiastic about here precisely because of her conservative views.

Conservatives rejected a candidate with strong leadership qualities and a positive image from 911 because he wasn't a solid conservative. Conservatives have been lukewarm about McCain, an experienced war hero who has sacrificed greatly for his country, because his conservative credentials are mixed and sometimes lukewarm.

Sarah Palin, on the other hand, is a pretty solid conservative across the board: economic, social, defense.

The fact that she's an attractive, spunky regular gal is the icing on the cake.

"You seem to know everything about what makes conservatives, Republicans and Christians tick."

Dr. Theo,

I don't presume to know nearly as much about conservatives and Republicans as you do about liberals and Democrats. But seeing as how I was a devout Southern Baptist for many years, fundamentalist Christianity is one area in which I am fairly confident.

As for whether my comments are rational, the next time I post I'll try harder to follow your Christ-like example of cheap shots, sarcasm, inspired words like "Obamessiah," and the clever ways in which you insult people whose opinions differ from your own.

And my family wonders why I'm turned off by Christians!

Dr. Theo said...

I believe you are turned off by Christians, Alex, because you have chosen a life-style that is clearly against God's will for your life, and now have to ridicule and belittle those that represent values that remind you of God's judgement. I know this because I was once living a homosexual life (in San Francisco no less) and had rejected God and had nothing but scorn for anyone who held beliefs in God or Jesus. Strangely, I was not similarly repulsed by Hindus, Buddists, Shintoists or other faiths that did not pass judgement on homosexuality. Like you, I was well-versed in the arguments of the anti-Christian mockers. By the grace of God I was delivered from a sinful, rebellious life and believe others can be, too.

alexh2007 said...

It's sad that you think my issues with Christianity are only related to homosexuality. And also kind of insulting that you think I'm so petty as to reject an entire worldview based solely on the kind of sex I have. My disgust runs far, far deeper than that. Even if I weren't gay, I'd still be repulsed by a religion that says I was brought into existence by God for the sole purpose of satisfying his ego, and if I don't, he'll kill me. And Christians have the audacity to call this free will! Maybe you found Eastern religions attractive not only because they don't judge homosexuality, but also because they don't condemn people to eternal punishment for simply believing the "wrong" thing.

And to top it all off, I'm now being judged for "ridiculing those who represent God's values," while the very person doing the finger-pointing writes articles in a tone that hardly conveys Christ's virtues of love, compassion, and kindness.
