Reflections on Governor Palin Speech

To start, her reception was fantastic. People couldn't stop expressing their enthusiasm for this solid conservative candidate.

Palin came across as classy, graceful, spunky, competent, confident, pleasant and strong. She was all the right things at all the right times.

Her pride in her son, a U.S. soldier, was both motherly and strong.

Of her husband Todd: after two decades and five children "He's still my guy!"

She was witty, with several good zingers, yet maintained her dignity and likability.

She didn't seem the least bit nervous or unsure--not at all the rookie the media has desperately tried to paint her as for the past five days. Palin was calm and sure of herself and what she believes in. I'm sure the despots and tyrants around the world are rather let down tonight.

She will do well as Vice President of the United States, and in 2012, she'll do great as the first female President of the United States.

As a nice touch, John McCain came out and joined Palin and her family on the stage in the midst of the thundering applause.

"Don't you think we made a great choice for the next vice president of the United States?" McCain asked.

Ayup!
