Why do we never see questions like these being asked on ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, MSNBC, NPR, the New York Times, the Washington Post, the LA Times, Newsweek, Time, US News & World Report, et al? But hats-off to Daily Caller for asking relevant and important questions that expose the utter hypocrisy of the Left. Come learn about some really hypocritical ice cream.
If you’ve never heard Medved’s Thanksgiving story, then you are about to have all your assumptions about our Thanksgiving holiday challenged. Particularly, Medved talks about the economic model the pilgrims tried when they first came to New England. Medved tells when the pilgrims arrived, they instituted a socialist collective where everyone would work together and everyone would get a share of the crops. It turned out to be the same kind of debacle socialism always turns out to be.
Well isn’t that special. The Marxist occupationist movement is only a couple of months old, and already they’re in the grips of their own internal class warfare. As we learn from these interviews below, the home Occupy Wall Street gang has divided along class lines. The college yuppie privileged Marxists live in one part and, as this fellow in a mohawk tells us, “try to rule the park from.”
You really have to love these Marxist occupationists. To heck with the U.S. Constitution. To heck with property rights. To heck with the Ten Commandments (“You shall not steal”). To heck with any sort of morality. To heck with any sort of freedom. Just have the government seize all housing and “redistribute” it.
A local Denver TV reporter asked Marxist hypocrite Michael Moore at an Occupy Denver event about his wealth, and when he did, Moore got very testy with him. This is a rare and commendable piece of real journalism on the part of reporter Evrod Cassimy. The “mainstream” media usually gives Leftists a pass on tough questions, especially when their hypocrisy and lies would be exposed by such questions. I hope Cassimy doesn’t get fired by his superiors.
Starting October 1, price controls were set by law on debit card swipe fees. Such populist well-intentioned legislation reduces economic freedom and slows economic growth. This situation has nothing to do with capitalism and everything to do with socialism. It seeks a state-directed and regulated economy serving the supposedly greater good of the nation. Such national socialism with the state seeking to control the economy is correctly called fascism.
Max Hastings at the British Daily Mail has had the courage to describe the rioters who have been burning the UK for the past several days. They are “a generation of amoral, uneducated, welfare dependent, brutalised youngsters” spawned by “years of liberal dogma.” Seldom do we see such recognition of cause and effect in the media.
The increasing militarization of the police did not occur suddenly, in a single precinct. Nor can it be traced back to a single leader or event. Rather, the pattern is so subtle that most American citizens have hardly been aware of it. Little by little, police authority has expanded, one weapon after another has been added to the police arsenal, and one exception after another has been made to the standards that have historically restrained police authority. Yet when analyzed as a whole, this trend toward militarization is undeniable, and when left unchecked, it amounts to nothing less than the end of American liberty.
You have to watch the video for yourself to get the full gut-punching effect of it. It shows Delaware DOT employees ripping up basketball hoops from people’s front yards because of a neighbor’s complaint. The disrespect and contempt for private property rights is stunning to comprehend that this is happening in America.
If even half of this is true, if even half of this is doable, this is some serious stuff. As exposed by The Blaze, it seems union leaders, community organizers and other socialists gathered at a forum at Pace University last weekend to do some brainstorming. Out of it came a plan to destabilize the U.S. economy and punish the “rich” whom they so despise. They’ve already been trying these tactics on a smaller scale around the country, but now it’s time for the American people to let them know we’re onto them, and we won’t tolerate these attacks on our way of life.
The best of the best at Dakota Voice last week, including: The EPA Must Be Stopped; Capt. Honors: First Sacrifice on the Homosexual Altar; AZ Shooter of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords a Wack Job; Leftist Judges Declare Soledad Cross ‘Unconstitutional'; Playing Word Games With Marriage; The ‘Constitution-Loving’ is Getting Out of Hand; Democrats in Washington Continue to Mock U.S. Constitution; and more!
You buy land, you expect to be the master of your domain, right? Not with our liberal-run government, you aren’t. The land of the free is quickly becoming the land of the government…and consider yourself darned lucky if they allow an unwashed serf like yourself to use your own land the way you want to. It wasn’t in some People’s Republic like California or Massachusetts, but in Idaho of all places that a couple found out that their land isn’t their land.
When Elizabeth Marshall Maybee’s grandmother passed in 2005, the ranch was passed down to her. Shortly after, Maybee received a bill from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for $2,005,389.00. The amount she owed the government for the federal estate tax. She is now in a desperate fight to keep a ranch that has been in her family for generations. This is the “death tax” on the “rich” in action.
It appears government is once again going to be allowed to play the overlord and crush private property rights by favoring one private entity over another. And when government plays favorites over freedom between two private parties, almost always it is the one with the lesser financial muscle who gets the short end.
A startling look at the stealth agenda that some on city councils across America have in mind for you, the citizen. Do you consider property rights and freedom important? Kiss them goodbye under the “sustainability” agenda.
If you respect the law (as I try to do), and if you try to respect the office of those entrusted to uphold our laws (as I try to do), you will probably find this segment with Glenn Beck and Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal as painful to watch as I do. This man is […]
