In spite of the best efforts of this Administration, America is on the verge of an energy revolution with consumer costs plummeting due to secure North American sources of oil and natural gas. Innovative technologies for unleashing huge oil shale deposits in North Dakota and neighboring Canada combined with natural gas discoveries primarily located in the northeastern United States will be the building blocks for a second American century.
The Bible doesn’t leave us hanging. It shows us the way home, how we’re supposed to get across the gulf that exists between us and God. The question that needs to be asked is: do you believe in personal salvation based upon the life, the death and the resurrection of Jesus? Or do you believe in a collective salvation which is diametrically opposed to the truth who was born in a manger, lived a perfect life, died on a cross in payment for sin, and rose from the dead.
Some conclude that Republicans must water down the conservative message and nominate a moderate. But Americans crave answers, clarity and leadership. This call will not be answered by ambiguity. We need a conservative leader who unwaveringly believes that a return to freedom and moral clarity is what this nation needs.
Our nation was not founded to be a centrally planned socially straight-jacketed empire ruled by the decrees of a sovereign. With President Obama, seconded and supported by his Attorney General Holder, deciding not to enforce laws they disagree with, the rule of law has ended in the United States. We can date our passage from a nation of laws to a nation of men not with this momentous decision but more effectively from the moment our elected representatives declined to declare this action to be unconstitutional and illegal.
Rush Limbaugh went “On the Record” with Greta Van Susteren. Limbaugh touches on a number of truths and answers several questions on many people’s minds today: Liberals have to lie about their agenda in order to get elected; Why Limbaugh hopes President Obama fails; The chip on Obama’s shoulder; Does Obama really believe that the nonsense he promotes will be good for America, or is he really an anti-American Marxist who wants to take down America?; Is there only one GOP candidate who can beat Obama?; The GOP establishment believes core Republican values are loser values; and more
On the 70th anniversary of hte Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, we learned about the outrageous, despicable characterization by the Defense Department of the Fort Hood Muslim jihadist attack as an act of “workplace violence.” Meanwhile, TLC is trying to “normalize” Islam with a show called “All-American Muslim.” Why do we never learn?
We stand at a critical crossroads today in clarifying the role of government in our free country. President Obama was correct to say in Osawatomie, Kansas recently that “this is the defining issue of our time.” Ours is no longer, in our president’s take on things, the land of the free and the home of the brave. America now is the land of the envious and the home of the victim.
We have seen the full-frontal assault against marriage by radical homosexual judges and homo-sympathizing legislators. Another current example of radical homosexuals pushing the envelope to force society to accept their behavior comes fromSan Antonio where an employee of Macy’s department store has been fired for refusing to allow a man to use the women’s dressing rooms. No, I’m not joking.
No amount of spin, or rhetoric, or blame-gaming can change the mathematical facts on the ground: Our debt has spiraled out of control and we are rapidly reaching a point of no return. This Congress and this President have had more than enough time to act, but they have failed to do so. If their dismal approval ratings are any indication, there will be a price to pay for this inexcusable indolence come November 2012.
Not only do we have to eat our peas, but we might have to eat our broccoli as well. The Obama Administration reached a tyrannical high recently when, during oral arguments before the District of Columbia Court of Appeals on the constitutionality of Obamacare’s health-insurance mandate, their lawyer, Beth Brinkmann, made the claim that a law requiring Americans to eat broccoli could be constitutional.
At this point in time, anyone who does not understand that America has been taken over by a lawless, communist regime is woefully out of touch with the glaring reality of our situation. How anyone could not see the devilish behavior of Barack Obama and his Marxist buddies in Congress and his administration is hard to fathom, except when we consider that there really are extremely stupid and deluded people in the world. In 2012, vote as if your country is at stake–because it is.
The Obama Administration’s Solyndra scandal that cost U.S. taxpayers $535 million is just the tip of the iceberg of the scandal enveloping Obama’s use of taxpayer dollars to help his top donors. Obama has nationalized the Chicago patronage system. The truth is that on a scale of one to 10, the Nixon scandals were about a three compared to Obama green payoff being a 10.
Drudge has a link to a Fox News story about Occupy Indianapolis organizers resorting to recruiting local homeless folks to maintain a presence on the state capital grounds. In viewing the video I recognized a familiar face; a middle-aged, gray-bearded demonstrator carrying an “Occupy” sign hooded in a rain slicker, but still recognizable. I knew […]
I see some Obama buddies are throwing in behind the Marxist Occupy Wall Street movement. Marxist preacher and Obama faith council member Jim Wallis, as well as Obama terrorist pal Bill Ayers have been out lending aid to the Occupy Wall Street movement. The Left owns this movement, and it will be a millstone around their neck as we move into the 2012 election year.
Retired Lt. Col. Allen West, now U.S. Representatiave from Florida Allen West, provides some important and much-needed perspective on the perennial liberal angst over waterboarding. He points out that President Obama is the beneficiary of information obtained through waterboarding, that terrorists have chosen to operate outside the normal protections of the Geneva Conventions, many of our own servicemen are waterboarded…and waterboarding just isn’t torture.
President Obama and his fellow Democrats have told us that they are sympathetic to the Occupy Wall Street movement, and they support them. This is not a surprise, since we have been hearing many of the same things, though veiled and ratcheted down somewhat, from them for years. Some, like Obama, have even had the audacity to claim the Occupy Wall Street movement is like the Tea Party movement. Really? Let’s compare the two.
Today is Election Day across the nation, and although it is not a presidential election year, we must not underestimate the importance of going to the polls and voting. Not as many states have elections this year, but each state and each race is important. In some countries, people risk their lives to vote. Will you cast aside this precious liberty as if it didn’t matter?
On Wednesday, the strange news flew across the nation’s wires that four men from Georgia, in their upper-sixties and early-seventies, had been arrested on Tuesday for an alleged plot to attack state and federal officials and buildings. Of course, I am not naïve enough to think older men could not be foolish enough to undertake such a desperate and wicked mission, but I do find it hard to swallow.
Thanks, President Obama, for making it even more clear where you stand with your contempt for America’s Christian heritage. After the U.S. House of Representatives reaffirmed yesterday our national motto of “In God We Trust,” President Obama proceeded this morning to mock and minimize this act. Remember that Obama has on more than one occasion misled people about our national motto, as well as shown his disdain for our Christian heritage. What did Benjamin Franklin say about a people who think they no longer need God’s assistance?
Reason TV did an interview of Star Parker, founder and president of the Center for Urban Renewal and Education (CURE). In the opening of the interview, she nails the socialist approach of the Left to the wall: “This whole notion that we should even have a ‘war on poverty’ dismisses the fact that individuals have a role in their own lives.”
Isn’t it time we heard from the grownups? After all, we’ve heard from the whiney spoiled brats quite enough for the past month or so, haven’t we? Their mewling and public temper tantrum has been quite disgusting. But today we expect to hear from Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) who will publicly address this corrosive class warfare rhetoric with some much-needed truth: “Class warfare may be clever politics, but it is terrible economics. Redistributing wealth never creates more of it.”
In George Orwell’s iconic 1949 novel, Nineteen Eighty-Four, the ill-fated protagonist, Winston Smith, works for the so-called Ministry of Truth in which his job is to alter or re-write history as propaganda for the ruling party of Big Brother. Now, over sixty years later, we are seeing this very thing taking place in our own nation.
