Iranian Revolution Anniversary Comes With Allegations of Religious Abuse
The 31st anniversary of Iran’s Islamic Revolution was marred Thursday by protests and criticism of religious abuse. Civilians took to the streets to demonstrate against the current hard-line government led by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Muslim Parents Reject Deal Struck Over Christian Daughter
The Muslim parents of a teenage girl who ran away from home because she feared they would kill her for converting to Christianity have withdrawn their consent to a deal that would allow their daughter to remain free from them. Trijicon to Remove Bible Verses from Military Products
The company embroiled in the controversy over Bible verse codes embossed on its gun sights announced that it will stop the practice. Michigan-based Trijicon, Inc., which has a $660 million multi-year contract with the U.S. Marine Corps, said Thursday that the company will stop putting Bible references on all its products for the U.S. military. Hotel Owners Cleared in Islam ‘Abuse’ Case
U.K. Christian hotel owners Ben and Sharon Vogelenzang were found not guilty of a religiously aggravated public order offense after a “very difficult” nine-month battle. The Vogelenzangs had been accused by a Muslim guest at their hotel in Aintree, Liverpool, of making offensive comments about Islam but District Judge Richard Clancy ruled Wednesday that the evidence against them was “inconsistent.” Read more »
