Youths’ support for Ron Paul is misplaced

Youths' support for Ron Paul is misplaced

In the 20-plus years that I have worked as a conservative activist, I’ve spoken on almost 200 university campuses — usually to Republican and conservative groups. Over time, I have observed changes in attitude among many young Republicans — and I believe these shifts help explain the rise of Ron Paul. Where young Republicans once had a sense of purpose and traditional values, now many don’t want to hear about “values” such as marriage, life, or family–just talk about the economy.

SD Secretary of State Unveils New Online Lobbyist Registration System

SD Secretary of State Unveils New Online Lobbyist Registration System

South Dakota Secretary of State Jason Gant unveiled the new on-line lobbyist registration and reporting system to all of South Dakota today. The new system will allow lobbyists to register and complete payments online, as well as improve the ability of citizens to review lobbyist expense reports. The change should save tax dollars and provide more information to the public.

Occupy Wall Street Hypocrisy

Occupy Wall Street Hypocrisy

This video is a great primer on the hypocrisy of the Occupy Wall Street movement. It’s the same hypocrisy the Left has been promoting for decades, and it stinks just as bad (well, maybe worse from these unwashed modern-day hippies) as it ever did from the “respectable” mainline socialists in the Democrat Party. Remember it well, America, and keep it firmly fixed in your mental vision as we enter election year 2012. We have a country to save from these narcissistic maggots.

Ron Paul: Bush Happy Over 911 Attack

Ron Paul: Bush Happy Over 911 Attack

One can admire, Ron Paul’s dedication to the U.S. Constitution and the limited government it mandates. But his craziness simply eclipses any good he brings to the table, including his insistence that the 911 terrorist attack that killed nearly 3,000 Americans was an “inside job” and that President Bush was full of glee to see it happen.

Don’t abandon the conservative message

Don't abandon the conservative message

Some conclude that Republicans must water down the conservative message and nominate a moderate. But Americans crave answers, clarity and leadership. This call will not be answered by ambiguity. We need a conservative leader who unwaveringly believes that a return to freedom and moral clarity is what this nation needs.

Ron Paul’s Parochialism

Ron Paul's Parochialism

The Daily Caller has a writeup and video/audio segment of Mark Steyn (who sometimes subs for Rush Limbaugh on his radio show) on Hugh Hewitt’s show talking about Ron Paul’s crazy statements and the new light they’re receiving. I can’t decide which would be worse: our current president’s Apology Tour Foreign Policy, or Ron Paul’s Head-In-The-Sand Defense Posture.

Ron Paul is dangerous

Ron Paul is dangerous

Ron Paul did himself no favors during the recent Iowa debate. Afterward, former Iowa House Speaker Christopher C. Rants blogged, “Ron Paul finally lit a match after dousing himself with gasoline.” America witnessed Ron Paul doing a squirrelly libertarian tango Thursday night. Cute but unstable.

Violating the 11th Commandment, or Upholding Its Intent?

Violating the 11th Commandment, or Upholding Its Intent?

As the lights begin to come up and expose the cockroach RINOs of the GOP who like carrying the name “Republican” but don’t like doing the work of one, there has been a lot of scurrying for cover from the aforementioned critters. Once again, those who are committed to upholding the values, principles and platform of the Republican Party have been portrayed as the bad guys while being forced to endure the bleatings about “different opinions” and Reagan’s 11th Commandment. But was the 11th Commandment intended to provide cover for those who willfully undermine the Republican agenda?

FRC GOP Presidential Voter Guide Released

FRC GOP Presidential Voter Guide Released

The Family Research Council has released a 2012 presidential voter guide for the GOP candidates. Even though the scorecard takes the candidates at their word on the campaign trail even when their record differs, the differences are still very clear. The choices for a real Republican are very few, but are very good.

Michele Bachmann Smacks Media Deficit Propaganda

Michele Bachmann Smacks Media Deficit Propaganda

In an interview on NBC’s Meet the Press, Michele Bachmann had to straighten out a “mainstream” media “journalist” when he tried to pretty up Barack Obama’s record of adding trillions to the national debt. When Bachmann pointed out that deficits had exploded under Barack Obama and his Democrat congress, David Gregory had to rush to the aid of the Obamessiah. Bachmann wasn’t being the meek, compliant Republican she’s supposed to be, choosing instead to refute his lies. And the record backs her up.

Roger Williams: The Donkey Whisperer

Roger Williams: The Donkey Whisperer

Here’s a great ad that comes to our attention thanks to Dr. Theo by way of The Hayride. Roger Williams is running for the U.S. House of Representatives from Texas, and he has a fine sense of humor. Can a “donkey whisperer” get through to the unruly and errant donkeys on Capitol Hill? Someone needs too…that, or put them out to pasture.

Yesterday’s Mitt Romney: I’m a Moderate, My Views are Progressive

Yesterday's Mitt Romney: I'm a Moderate, My Views are Progressive

Gee, thanks, Mitt, for admitting to us that you’re a liberal…nine years ago in n Worcester, MA. In this video from 2002, an endorsement of Mitt Romney from El Mundo, a Spanish-speaking newspaper in Massachusetts (where the overhwelming majority of legal residents speak English, and have for over 300 years), is the topic of discussion when Mr. RomneyCare admits to being a “moderate” with “progressive” views–code for a liberal with liberal views who doesn’t want to admit to being a liberal.

Pride and Prejudice?

Pride and Prejudice?

Less than a month from the first presidential primary, the field remains uncertain… and somewhat less than inspiring. Mitt Romney wonders why no one likes him, Cain is out, Bachmann, Santorum, Paul and Huntsman don’t’ appear to be gaining traction and have little time for resurgence, and Gingrich is likely incapable of avoiding some form of self-immolation. So, is it too late for someone else to emerge from the wings?

Homosexual Activist Tries, Fails to Embarrass Michele Bachmann

Homosexual Activist Tries, Fails to Embarrass Michele Bachmann

It’s bad enough that homosexual activists insist on broadcasting their sexual disorientation in public. It’s also bad enough that some homosexual activists expose their children shamelessly to their perverted lifestyle. But it is growing more and more common for some of these activists to use their children as instruments to strike out at people who refuse to accept their fantasy version of reality. Consider this incident at a book signing by Michele Bachmann in South Carolina where a homosexual activist prodded her child to make a statement to Bachmann in an attempt to make Bachmann look bad.

Time for an American Deborah?

Time for an American Deborah?

This video pretty much sums up my thoughts on the GOP presidential candidates. So without further adieu… According to the video description, this video is by Jerry McGlothlin, CEO of Special Guests, Inc. Special Guests, established in 1986, is a leading supplier of expert guests to Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage, and other popular talk shows.

Gingrich and Romney: Neither Support Limited Government

Gingrich and Romney: Neither Support Limited Government

If you thought 2012 would bring change to government, think of it more as rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. The two leading candidates at the moment on the right are not champions of limited government. Sadly, it appears that those who consistently support limited government rarely seek high office.

South Dakota’s New Campaign Finance System Goes Live

South Dakota's New Campaign Finance System Goes Live

Today, Secretary of State Jason Gant unveiled his upgrade to South Dakota’s campaign finance reporting system to all of South Dakota, taking the system live less than a year after taking office. “This is the most significant development in campaign finance for SD in over a decade,” said Gant.

An Open Letter to Sean Hannity

An Open Letter to Sean Hannity

An open letter from a Sean Hannity fan who is fed up that Hannity continues to give air time to RINO mudslinger Karl Rove. “Moving on to this primary season, its clear to anyone that the GOP has promised Mitt Romney the nomination and they are doing everything they can to see that, systematically, each of his rivals are destroyed.”

RINO Romney Wilts Under the Light of Truth

RINO Romney Wilts Under the Light of Truth

RINO Mitt “RomneyCare” Romney finally got some tough questions (from Fox News, of course), and he wilted under the light of truth. Various pundits and media figures described his performance as “awkward” and “uncomfortable,” “rambling” and “exasperated,” “icily peevish” and more. Romney has received a free ride from the Leftist media…that would evaporate were he to go head-to-head with their Democrat favorite in the general election.

Fast, Furious and Lawless Obama Regime

Fast, Furious and Lawless Obama Regime

At this point in time, anyone who does not understand that America has been taken over by a lawless, communist regime is woefully out of touch with the glaring reality of our situation. How anyone could not see the devilish behavior of Barack Obama and his Marxist buddies in Congress and his administration is hard to fathom, except when we consider that there really are extremely stupid and deluded people in the world. In 2012, vote as if your country is at stake–because it is.

SD GOP: The Voters Are Watching

SD GOP: The Voters Are Watching

First we had the South Dakota Freedom Index which revealed how South Dakota’s state senators scored on 10 freedom-related issues. Now a Republican Platform Scorecard for South Dakota legislators has just been released. The scorecard compares how legislators have voted on actual legislation in Pierre and compared that with the values of the South Dakota GOP Platform. Some of our “Republicans” in Pierre didn’t line up so well with the stated values of the South Dakota GOP as articulated on the platform.

We Can Trust Us

We Can Trust Us

No matter what the polls say I believe that the American people still believe in freedom. Don’t be discouraged by the blather of the pontificating politicians or confused by the conflicting ruminations of the professional talkers. When all is said and done we can trust us. We the people will eventually come down on the side of truth, justice, and the American way.

Senator Thune Endorses RINO Romney

Senator Thune Endorses RINO Romney

This is extremely disappointing. Why does Senator John (R-SD) continually support RINOs? He supported RINO John McCain in 2008, which guaranteed a loss to the Democrats, and now he’s endorsed Mitt “RomneyCare” Romney, which would guarantee another Democrat victory in 2012. As George Will said recently, with all the Right has going for it right now politically, why in the world would we settle for this?

SD Sec of State: Sales Tax Increase Will Be on 2012 Ballot

SD Sec of State: Sales Tax Increase Will Be on 2012 Ballot

Today, Secretary of State Jason Gant announced that the petitions submitted for an initiated measure to increase South Dakota sales tax has passed the petition certification process, and will be placed on the November 2012 general election ballot.

Video: GOP National Security Debate

Video: GOP National Security Debate

I was unable to get the video of the CNN national security debate last night edited and uploaded, but thanks to the good folks at the Media Research Center, we have it here. As the “social issues” debate over the weekend was perhaps the most important debate of this election season, so national defense is right up there. If we’re taken over or destroyed by an enemy, our freedom, constitution and everything else we hold dear are worthless.
