Global Warming Hysteria: Following the Green Money

Global Warming Hysteria: Following the Green Money

The axiom “follow the money” is often cited as a method of finding out who and what is behind a particular movement. The environmental extremist movement loves to employ this statement, along with a helping of class envy, to demonize the free market that has produced our comfortable society, but what do we see when it is turned around on them? We find the very greed and avarice they so love to wail about. Read more »

Haggling Over Price

Haggling Over Price

No matter how he tries to spin it, the legislation that Senator Nelson voted for does not contain unequivocal language barring federally-funded abortions. It’s bad enough that he–along with senators from other states also receiving sweetheart deals in exchange for their votes on the bill–is willing to stick the rest of the American taxpayers with a financial burden that should be shared equitably by all states. What’s more reprehensible is that he was willing to abandon his longstanding position as an advocate for the unborn in exchange for political pork. Read more »

Rep. Bachmann: Rescind Bonuses for Freddie, Fannie Execs

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) and whoever agrees with her definitely have their priorities straight. Instead of trying to play the socialist government thug by regulating and restricting the pay of executives of private companies, the government should instead chop the bonuses of the government financial institutions that were at the heart of the 2008 financial meltdown: Fannie and Freddie. Senate Health Care Bill Exempts Certain Counties from Medicare Cuts

Just a few weeks ago we heard about the $300 million bribe Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) received from the architects of the Senate health care bill in order to get her vote for cloture. As we might have expected, the sweetheart deals, the carving out of chunks of taxpayer funds for personal advantage, the corruption did not stop there. Read more »
