South Dakota Lawmakers Consider Arizona-Like Immigration Law

South Dakota Lawmakers Consider Arizona-Like Immigration Law

For decades the federal government has refused to do its job of keeping our national borders secure and enforcing immigration law. The situation has become so pathetic that when Arizona recently crafted a law to empower state law enforcement officials to turn over illegal aliens to federal authorities, the Obama Administration sued Arizona to preserve it’s “right” to ignore the law. Even far north in places like South Dakota, illegal immigration is a problem. That is why South Dakota legislators are looking at making such a law in South Dakota.

Should South Dakota concern itself with Arizona Immigration law?

Should South Dakota concern itself with Arizona Immigration law?

A bill recently passed by the Arizona Legislature and signed into law by its governor, Jan Brewer, continues to make the headlines across the country. It authorizes police officers who have stopped someone in connection with another possible violation to check the citizenship of anyone they believe might be in our country illegally. At last count, 20 or so states are considering similar laws that, in effect, outlaws illegal aliens within their borders.

Suing Arizona

Suing Arizona

The federal government is suing Arizona for attempting to do what the federal government, by law, is supposed to do but won’t do. This is like a bad joke, but it’s deadly serious. The illegal alien problem with all its attendant crime and leeching of public money is horrendous in the United States, and Arizona is part of ground zero with Mexican drug wars raging at Arizona’s border and even spilling over into the state.

Study: Illegal Immigration Costs U.S. $113 Billion Per Year

As our federal government sues Arizona for the unimpeded right to ignore the law, the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) has a new report which indicates illegal immigration costs the United States $113 BILLION a year. It’s not that we cannot deal with this problem, but rather that we lack the will to deal with this problem.

Obama: We Can’t Enforce What We Don’t Want to Enforce

Obama: We Can't Enforce What We Don't Want to Enforce

President Obama made this statement about Arizona’s illegal immigration law, which mirrors federal law: And it’s not just that the law Arizona passed is divisive, although it has fanned the flames of an already contentious debate, laws like Arizona’s put huge pressures on local law enforcement to enforce rules that ultimately are unenforceable. It puts pressure on already hard-strapped state and local budgets. Here, a helpful translation of Obama’s comments is provided.

Federal Govt Cedes U.S. Territory to Foreign Criminal Trade

Federal Govt Cedes U.S. Territory to Foreign Criminal Trade

Apparently our federal government would rather forfeit part of U.S. territory to criminals rather than clean up the mess on and around our nation’s border. Rather than clean up the illegal alien problem and our porous borders, the federal government has simply put up warning signs to tell the law-abiding citizens of America to just leave the invaders and criminals alone who have taken over this area of U.S. territory.

Thwarted Bomb Plot Highlights Unspoken War

Thwarted Bomb Plot Highlights Unspoken War

The Obama administration may be considering using presidential executive authority to bypass Congress and basically grant amnesty to the illegal aliens in our midst. This comes on the heels of a story about an alleged plot by a Mexican drug cartel to blow up a dam along the Texas border — and unleash billions of gallons of water into a region with millions of civilians.

Los Angeles Boycott of AZ: When Cash Involved, Principle Ends and Hypocrisy Begins

Remember when the ultra-liberals in Los Angeles voted to boycott Arizona for having the audacity to uphold the rule of law and assist the feds in enforcing existing immigration law? They’re riding the hypocrisy wagon a second time now, making another exception in their boycott so they can keep a lucrative red-light camera contract spitting out cash.

Why should we believe Sen. Kyl?

Why should we believe Sen. Kyl?

“The situation in this zone has reached a point where continued public use of the area is not prudent. The Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge has been adversely affected by border related activities. The international border with Mexico has also become increasingly violent. Assaults on law enforcement officers and violence against migrants have escalated [emphasis mine]. Violence on the Refuge with smugglers and border bandits has been well-documented.”

Liberal Mayors: Defending U.S., Enforcing Law is 'Un-American'

The majority at the U.S. Conference of Mayors voted to condemn Arizona’s illegal alien law. Only in the liberal mind is defending the national security of the United States and enforcing our laws considered “un-American.”

Illegals Run for the Border...Any Border

Almost a month and a half ago, we learned that illegal aliens were self-deporting themselves from Arizona after the passage of Arizona’s tough new illegal immigration law. Now USA Today reports illegal aliens are fleeing Arizona as implementation of the new law is only seven weeks away.

Ending Anti-American Studies in Arizona

Not content to merely enforce the immigration law the federal government refuses to enforce, Arizona seems to be on a full-fledged campaign to cleanse their state of liberal nonsense. Governor Jan Brewer recently signed a new law that would prohibit educational courses that promote racial resentment and division. You may be surprised by this look into what young Americans are being taught.

California Immigration Law Similar to Arizona Law Demonized in Calif.

The portion of Arizona’s immigration law which liberals in California are choking over is essentially the same as California law. Both require investigation of legal status when reasonable suspicion exists to believe that a person may be in our country illegally.

No Other Flags, No Hyphenated-Americans; One Flag for Americans

You might recall that the president of Mexico, Felipe Calderon, came into our own nation’s capitol and trashed one of our great states, the state of Arizona. And many of our elected representatives applauded this insult to America. Rep. Tom McClintock (R-CA) had some choice words for this boorish and inaccurate behavior.

New Trend: 'Rule of Law' Cities

While you have liberal idiots like those running Los Angeles who want to boycott Arizona for having the gall to enforce existing law against illegal aliens, other cities like Costa Mesa, California are acting in the American way and affirming the rule of law. In fact, they so strongly affirm the rule of law that, unlike the “sanctuary cities” that have decided to be sanctuaries for lawbreakers and invaders, they actually call themselves a “rule of law” city.

You couldn’t make this stuff up! The same individual who refuses to show his birth certificate and who rails against enforcement of our borders in Arizona is demanding the birthdates, Social Security numbers and citizenship status of high school students before he visits their school.
