Census 2010: Do your duty, Citizens

Census 2010: Do your duty, Citizens

“[An] Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they shall by Law direct.”

Our representative republic depends upon an accurate count of citizens living in the United States. We have a responsibilty to provide the information needed, but there is no mention in the Constitution about the need for private information. Read more »

Senator Tim Johnson: Squarely on the Wrong Side of History

Senator Tim Johnson: Squarely on the Wrong Side of History

The Rapid City Journal reported yesterday that Senator Tim Johnson (D-SD) released a statement regarding his support for the unconstitutional government health care bill in congress. It was, shall we say, very interesting. While Johnson says he wants to be “on the right side of history” with his health care vote, he has made it overwhelmingly clear that he could not be more on the wrong side of history–with all the failures of socialism. The Economics of Abortion

The Economics of Abortion

If our society chooses to embrace the notion that the unborn only matter when they are wanted (and affordable), it is only a matter of time before we allow ourselves to be persuaded that the human rights of infants, the disabled, the elderly, the poor, the unproductive, or even the unemployed are similarly mutable. This way of looking at our fellow humans – no matter how cleverly disguised by the rhetoric of “rights” or “dignity” – is evidence of a poisonous and depraved state of mind. Read more »

Unions, public schools, and minority children

Unions, public schools, and minority children

Speaking a couple years ago about technology and education, Apple CEO and founder Steve Jobs said that technology wouldn’t matter as long as you can’t fire teachers. “I believe that what is wrong with our schools in this nation is that they have become unionized in the worst possible way,” he said. Jobs likened schools to running a small business that he said could never succeed if you can’t hire and fire. Reasonable? I think so. Read more »

South Dakota Joins Challenge Against EPA

The Feds just aren’t able to get away with pushing around the people and the states like they used to. In addition to resisting the federal government’s unconstitutional actions with regard to firearms and health care, now a dozen states or more are challenging the EPA’s crazy global warming standards. Most of the 50 states are already moving to protect their citizens from this unconstitutional bill, even as socialists in congress grit their teeth and prepare to ram it down America’s throat. Poll: Anti-Incumbent Tide is High

Poll: Anti-Incumbent Tide is High

The latest poll from Fox News reflects the foul mood of the average American today. 68% of voters would vote out all incumbents, with only 20% voting to keep all incumbents. A day of reckoning is coming on November 2…and perhaps earlier for some in the primaries. Read more »

European Carbon Market Scandal Illustrates Insanity

European Carbon Market Scandal Illustrates Insanity

Consider the so-called modern invention known as the “carbon market.” These “carbon credits” aren’t anything that really exists like apples, corn, cell phones or widgets. They don’t actually do anything like a vacuum cleaner, a car or a hammer. And they don’t affect anything that can be measured, since the hypothesis of anthropogenic global warming cannot be measured with real science and all real evidence points to natural and cyclic climate change. Dutch Military: A Lesson Against ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ Repeal?

Dutch Military: A Lesson Against 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' Repeal?

Our government is considering allowing homosexuals to serve openly in the U.S. military by rescinding Bill Clinton’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy which allows homosexuals to serve in the military as long as their sexual behavior is kept secret. But General John Sheehan testified before congress and revealed an important lesson which illustrates why this would be foolhardy. Read more »

Star Parker to Run for Congress?

Star Parker to Run for Congress?

Marvin Olasky’s latest column says that it looks very likely that author and columnist Star Parker will be running for congress against incumbent Democrat Rep. Laura Richardson to represent the 37th District of California. This dynamic woman who walked out of a life of welfare and multiple abortions could set Washington D.C. on fire. Read more »

Predictions of Global Warming Hysterics are All Wet

Predictions of Global Warming Hysterics are All Wet

Here are three great quotes from “scientists” who have been pushing environmental extremism for years, and continue to push the hoax of anthropogenic global warming on society. They demonstrate that the so-called “scientific” predictions of these radicals are not grounded in science and are actually worthless. Read more »

CBO: You Must Buy $12,000 Health Care Policy

Would you like to shell out an average of $12,000 for a health insurance policy each year–whether you get any help from your employer or the government or not? The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) says that honor will be yours if socialists in Washington D.C. get their way and ram through this government health care plan. The plan also contains the seeds of the complete destruction of our free market system which will force everyone onto the government dole. Read more »

The Census: Counting Illegal Aliens, Distorting Representation

The Census: Counting Illegal Aliens, Distorting Representation

John S. Baker and Elliot Stonecipher have an informative article at the Wall Street Journal on one of the many unconstitutional aspects of the 2010 census. This one looks primarily at how the census, because it counts illegal aliens like citizens, will result in some states receiving too many seats in the U.S. House of Representatives, and other states unfairly receiving too few representative seats. Pelosi Health Care Deeming Plan Stinks Too Much for her House Whip

Pelosi Health Care Deeming Plan Stinks Too Much for her House Whip

Do you know how bad is Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s plan to wave her imperial wand and deem the unconstitutional government health care bill “passed?” It’s so bad that even one of her floor whips (whose job it is to whip up votes to support the Speaker’s initiatives) Rep. Stephen Lynch, a Democrat from the People’s Republic of Massachusetts, says it stinks. Read more »

Virginia AG: Don't Pass Govt Health Care Without a Vote

The Attorney General of Virginia is the latest state official to warn congress not to pull yet another fast one in their attempt to ram government health care down the throats of the American people. AG Kenneth Cuccinelli has sent a letter to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, warning her there would be a constitutional challenge if she attempted to ram through government health care without a vote of the people’s representatives. Death Panels: To Be Deemed the Most Non-Existent Reality of 2010?

Death Panels: To Be Deemed the Most Non-Existent Reality of 2010?

Over and over and over again, we hear how fear mongers and wing-nuts are falsely claiming there are “death panels” where death panels do not exist. Keith Olbermann goes so far as to claim that rather than death panels, there are “life panels.” He just doesn’t seem to get it that not everyone’s experience is like the one he had with his father’s passing, where his father’s wishes were upheld. Olbermann just doesn’t seem to get it that some people, instead, get to find out just how real the “death panel” concept is and has been for some time now. Read more »

Idaho Passes Health Freedom Act Protecting Against Govt Health Care

Idaho Passes Health Freedom Act Protecting Against Govt Health Care

Idaho became the first state to fully pass a measure protecting its citizens from the unconstitutional government health care plan Democrats in congress are hell-bent on passing. Some 37 other states are also working on similar legislation. One has to wonder if the rogue socialists in Washington D.C. give a whit about what the American people think anymore. Read more »

The Race Question on the 2010 Census Raises Serious Questions

The Race Question on the 2010 Census Raises Serious Questions

Has America evolved to the point where the government no longer needs to know your race? Not according to the U.S. Census Bureau. They want to know your race and that of everyone in your home. As Martin Luther King Jr. urged more than 40 years ago, isn’t it time to stop judging us by the color of our skin? Read more »

Stupak: Health Care Bill is About Eugenics

Stupak: Health Care Bill is About Eugenics

Rep. Bart Stupak (D-MI) reveals yet another dark side to the plan for government health care: eugenics. Liberals in congress want taxpayer funded abortion included in the health care bill so more children can be killed off before they’re born, thus saving a lot of money. Read more »
