Another great “Afterburner” video from Bill Whittle. He talks about the astonishing failures of education and our public education system in America. There are actually young people today who don’t know that James Cameron’s “Titanic” movie was based on a real ship that really sank, or that we really landed on the moon 40 years ago. Perhaps the most frightening thing about such ignorance is that when you don’t know history, you don’t have the option of learning from history to avoid the mistakes made by others who came before you.

One can admire, Ron Paul’s dedication to the U.S. Constitution and the limited government it mandates. But his craziness simply eclipses any good he brings to the table, including his insistence that the 911 terrorist attack that killed nearly 3,000 Americans was an “inside job” and that President Bush was full of glee to see it happen.

The Left has long been engaged in a war on reality. Why would the Left declare war on reality? Because reality doesn’t really change that much, and they find it extremely inconvenient to their pursuit of their ideal fantasy world. We’ve seen them try it with innocent human life, with economics and property rights, and with human sexuality. Now the Left seeks to redefine the world of illegal immigration. Notice to the Left: you can run, but you can’t hide from reality. It will catch up to you sooner or later.

You hear this one sometimes from socialists: the job of the judiciary is to protect the minority from the majority. No it isn’t. Lawbreakers are in the minority; is it the job of the judiciary to protect the minority of lawbreakers from the majority of law-abiding citizens? No, it is the job of the judiciary to uphold the law–which, in this case, involves protecting the majority from the lawbreaking of the minority.

Eric Stanley of the Alliance Defense Fund was on Wallbuilders Live yesterday, discussing the Pulpit Initiative. This effort started in 2007 by the Alliance Defense Fund to challenge the unconstitutional tax code provision fostered in 1954 by then Senator Lyndon Johnson to silence his nonprofit political enemies. This year, 539 pastors participated, and next year even more are expected to come on board.

You know precisely what the “Occupy Wall Street” crowd is all about. You know it because, for a change, the Left has been brazen and out in the open about it: Contempt for the U.S. Constitution, An end to our free market system, Gutting our national defense, Marxist ideology, class warfare, racism, revolution and spreading the misery. But did you know that the Democrat Party is very supportive of this anti-American circus?

Since egregious ignorance has been the order of the day among the general population for decades, and since there has been an ongoing campaign of lies, propaganda and revisionism intended to muzzle, silence and tie the hands of Christians in America over those same decades, you may be completely unaware of America’s rich Christian heritage. Indeed, the evidence is overwhelming that America was founded by Bible-believing Christians on Christian principles.

David Mamet, the guy who wrote “Wag the Dog,” is a liberal who woke up. He’s a liberal who has been mugged by reality. Mamet is a liberal who couldn’t maintain the fantasyworld for himself any longer, and he’s telling about how his eyes came open. We first saw this change in a column he wrote in 2008 in the Village Voice called “Why I Am No Longer a ‘Brain-Dead Liberal’.” Mamet also has a new book out which I hope to read soon called “The Secret Knowledge: On the Dismantling of American Culture.”

She’s done it before, but it’s always good to watch a pro at work. In this interview between MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell and Bush Administration National Security Advisor and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, she schools the recalcitrant revisionist newsman on the facts concerning Iraq.

According to Rabbi Daniel Lapin: “As all great historians have pointed out, Arnold Toynbee one of the most prominent and recent, great civilizations seldom die because of outside forces. They collapse because of an erosion of inner conviction. And part of that is an abandonment of the primacy of their culture and a desire to become part of a polyglot multicultural bizarre non-entity that has absolutely no coherence to it whatsoever. This happened to the Roman Empire, it happened to what is left of the British Empire, and Heaven knows you see it happening to American civilization.”

The anti-American website WikiLeaks has once again dumped a lot of documents onto the internet designed to hurt America’s power and prestige internationally. If we looked, I’m sure we’ll find people in our own government who made all of these leaks possible. In fact, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if high level people within the Obama Administration were involved. given the discomfort Obama and other Leftists feel at American power and security on the world stage.

For several decades, certain elements within America have been trying to rewrite our history, attempting to sanitize from it the recognition that our country was settled and founded by committed Christians on Christian principle. Thomas Sowell has some great insight today in his National Review column about the myth of separation of church and state (as liberals define it), explaining exactly what the founders meant when they wrote about “an establishment of religion” in the U.S. Constitution. It has nothing to do with the campaign of sanitation of Christianity from the public square being carried out by the Left.

The man pushing the Ground Zero Victory Mosque, Imam Faisal Rauf, is supposed to be a “moderate” Muslim, right? We already knew that was bunk (if we were awake, that is), but he keeps getting deeper in it as more of his radical comments come to light. For instance, his claim that the US has more blood on its hands than al-Qaeda, and his casual use of the N-word.

The fundamental and often overlooked problem with the modern public education system is its goal of supplanting the family as the principal influence and primary means for preparing the nation’s children to be “good citizens.” Where do we get this idea that upon age six (at the latest) we should send our children away for six to seven hours a day to be trained by others?

Liberals have revised the Civil Rights movement away from an effort to end institutional discrimination and segregation, into a socialist wealth redistribution movement. Glenn Beck continued his “Founders Friday” series, this time with “Women of the American Revolution.” As guests, he had once again author David Barton of Wallbuilders, and Jane Hampton Cook author of Battlefields And Blessings and The Faith of America’s First Ladies. They began with a discussion of women’s suffrage and the right of women to vote. Most people do not know that many women could vote before and during the Revolution.

After the American Revolution, as congress gathered at the Constitutional Convention of 1787, little progress was made in the first several weeks of that gathering. It wasn’t until June 28, 1787 when Benjamin Franklin, one of the least religious of the founders, made the statement below, that progress was finally made which eventually resulted in the United States Constitution.
