The Declaration of Independence accused the King of giving his assent to acts of “pretended legislation.” On MARCH 23, 1775, Patrick Henry spoke to the 2nd Virginia Convention, which was meeting in Richmond’s St. John’s Church due to British hostilities, asking, “Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery?”

When you’re on the Left (as most “mainstream” media “journalists” are), what you say really doesn’t have to have any connection whatsoever to reality, does it? Facts, logic, reason, relevance? All optional. In fact, it’s far easier when you don’t even bother to check for any of these before opening your mouth. Such was the case on MSNBC when Karen Finney threw baseless slurs at Rush Limbaugh in a flimsy attempt to link him with the shooting death of Trayvon Martin in Florida.

In Jan., President Obama made a big show of vehemently denying requests to build a Keystone XL pipeline, which would have created thousands of jobs and helped restore to the sluggish economy. The funny thing is, Obama only controls three inches of the Keystone pipeline — the three inches that cross the US/Canada border. Now that TransCanada has decided to go ahead with the rest of the pipeline despite Obama’s opposition, he is rushing to take credit for adding to the flow of oil.

Suddenly the concept of “sustainability” is very much in vogue in the run-up to yet another United Nations climate conference scheduled for June. But the idea that life on Earth can only be sustained by limiting population growth is not new, it has actually been around for some time.

Great news! In this day and age when the anti-American Leftists win too many battles over their fellow American’s freedom, the good guys finally won one yesterday in the U.S. Supreme Court. FreedomWorks has done a lot of good work in the past three years since America elected a proud Marxist to be our president. Since the beginning of the year, gasoline prices have spiked upward dramatically from about $3.25 a gallon to about $3.83, or about $.00725 a day, according to Gasbuddy.com. And if they continue at that rate, they will top $4 a gallon by about April 13, and certainly in time for Memorial Day — when the summer driving season really heats up. A hospital is now actively killing a patient whose family called me at the 11th hour yesterday, pleading to save their father’s life. Despite the family’s desperation to protect their father’s life, and everything Texas Right to Life did for them, the hospital’s death panel declared his life futile and moved with steps to kill him. I could not protect him, and I want to tell you what happened.

Perhaps the silliest of all is when she asks why he keeps talking about this kind of stuff when people ask him about it.

This video is a great response to the lying, fear-mongering video that came out last year claiming Republicans wanted to throw grandma off a cliff–put out by the party that cut half a trillion dollars from Medicare to pay for their ObamaCare scheme. You don’t like the decisions your insurance company makes? Think of how much you’ll like it when such decisions are made by government bureaucrats in Washington D.C. who are insulated from market forces by layer upon layer of 3,000-page laws and even thicker stacks of regulations.

What the disciples of Gordon Gekko’s infamous “greed is good” philosophy fail to recognize however is that a truly free market is impossible without mutual trust. Perhaps they don’t care. After all, they are making money, and life is good! Who cares about honor? What is the market value of integrity? If there’s a house in the ‘burbs with luxury cars in the driveway, a penthouse in the city and the best private schooling for the kids, then the means don’t matter, right?

Abortion proponents have railed against the growing number of states requiring a sonogram before an abortion can be performed, even going so far as to liken such requirements as a form of “rape.” Yet a little investigation reveals that pre-abortion sonograms have already been the norm for quite a while for a variety of medical and health reasons. Abortion must be the only area of life where we are to believe in a policy of “the less information, the better.”

In A Short Scheme of the True Religion, Sir Isaac Newton wrote: “Atheism is so senseless and odious to mankind that it never had many professors.”

Who among us remembers the rotund Nikita Khrushchev from our Cold War days? I know it’s a generational thing. Yet, here was this enemy, sitting in the midst of the enemy’s chamber called the United Nations, making a boast that now seems to be somewhat prophetic yet at the time produced nothing but genuine laughter. I wonder how many of my generation remembers his words? Very close to its fiftieth anniversary date of June 19th, 1962, Khrushchev predicted, “The United States will eventually fly the Communist Red Flag…the American people will hoist it themselves.”

One of my favorite Westerns is “My Name is Nobody,” starring Terence Hill and Henry Fonda. It has some language in it, so I’ll warn you, but there are some hilarious parts in it, too. But there is also some wisdom to be found in this “spaghetti Western” as well. Some of it pertains to politicians who claim to want to help us by robbing us of our prosperity and our freedom.

And Mitt “RomneyCare” Romney is the man the RINO establishment in the GOP has been insisting is “the only one who can beat Obama.”

Rush Limbaugh treated Miss Fluke as a worthy adversary. She stepped into the political ring to rumble; she decided – as the seasoned pro-abortion feminist activist that she is – to become the “poster pin-up” of “free love.” She decided – of her own free will – that she would become the lightning rod for all the poor little girls who want to “sleep around,” and have the rest of us pay for their birth control and abortifacients. Rush treated her as a worthy opponent, and responded to her with rhetoric equal to the battle.
