Time for an American Deborah?

Deborah Beneath the Palm Tree, c. 1896-1902, by James Jacques Joseph Tissot

This video pretty much sums up my thoughts on the GOP presidential candidates. So without further adieu…

According to the video description, this video is by Jerry McGlothlin, CEO of Special Guests, Inc. Special Guests, established in 1986, is a leading supplier of expert guests to Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage, and other popular talk shows.

  1. Thanks for posting my video. I like your headline, “Time for an American Deborah?” You have a nice site. I just updated the video. Here’s the new link: http://youtu.be/ghrIo4Hq93Y

  2. Thanks, and thanks for putting the video together. It represents my thoughts on the GOP candidates nicely. I’ve embedded the updated video. Thanks again.

  3. Great Info.  Have always thought Bachman was a great choice for the Republican Nominee.  Gingrich leaves me cold, Romney makes me sick.  Perry was a non-starter for similar reasons for my lack of enthusiasm  to Gingrich.  Gingrich seems sanguine about Illegal Aliens of any nationality and Perry seems (to me at least) to want to erase any semblance of a border and encourage this illegal migration of people from the South.

  4. Good video!

I do have a tough time accepting women in a high leadership positions, but at this point, I would take Mrs. Bachmann in a nanosecond over the communist in the White House.

  5. There’s no doubt here that Michele Bachmann would be an excellent President, I would urge, however, that you not sell Rick Perry short.

  6. I could live with Rick Perry, but the Gardasil thing and illegal immigration leave me a little cool toward Perry.

  7. That Gardasil deal is a valid concern, at the same time we’re talking about a 12 year record that is an open book, pretty tough to not have a gopher ball or two over that long a period.
The immigration thing is something where Perry brings on his own problems by sometimes speaking in knee jerk manner(“doesn’t have a heart”, a VERY ill advised statement) the tuition bill seems to get people in an uproar.  I do like to point out that Marco Rubio supported the same in FL, as many who slam Perry for the tuition bill seem to love Rubio.(An excellent US Senator)

  8. I can overlook the Gardasil fiasco, as I believe Perry wouldn’t repeat this mistake.  But Perry scores an “F,” or a “D+” at best on illegal immigration.  He was pathetic on failing to promote illegal immigration laws in this last legislative session in Texas.  Absolutely nothing got passed in regard to protecting our state from the onslaught of criminal invaders.  And this was with a super-majority of Republicans in the House.  Even the nominal “sanctuary city” bill got shot down without a fight from Perry.

    We can do much better.
