Rick Perry isn’t my first or even second choice for president of the United States, for a number of reasons. But there are some areas where he definitely gets it right, and one of them is RomneyCare. This state-level, prototype version of ObamaCare is almost identical to ObamaCare in every important way–and all of them are bad.

This is a great video from the Daily Caller showing some of the Marxists at the “Occupy Wall Street”-inspired “Occupy DC” event telling us what they believe…as best as they understand what they believe. We also see a Tea Party patriot mixing with with the Marxists and not receiving a very friendly reception.

Those who know me understand that I’m not a big Rick Perry fan. Perry is far too weak in the area of illegal immigration and some other things to be what I would consider a good Republican candidate for president. But when I witness what can only be characterized as journalistic ineptitude or journalistic malpractice, I can’t stand idly by and watch even a candidate I don’t like be smeared and besmirched. A case in point occurred Saturday at the Rapid City Journal’s blog Mount Blogmore, when “journalist” David Montgomery attempted to smear Rick Perry as a threat to the First Amendment and U.S. Constitution.

Liberals are nervous. They should be. As the 2012 election grows closer a soft rumble builds throughout thousands of Evangelical Christian churches across America. Pastors and churchgoers alike are waking up to the disturbing reality that we as a nation have strayed drastically from our historical Judeo-Christian moorings. John Adams, our second president, once said, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

This summer many things that should do better over a long-term investment strategy did not. This situation is not unusual for one quarter’s worth of time. Such a result only makes reversion to the mean much more likely in the coming quarters. It is always a good time to have a balanced portfolio. And you shouldn’t let a summer quarter’s correction ruin a brilliant long-term investment philosophy.

Legalized gambling was supposed to be the key to unlock South Dakota’s financial crisis. While it has become a major contributor to the state’s purse, it has been discovered that contribution isn’t as big as the state officials who started video lottery thought it would be. South Dakota’s smoking ban is being blamed for the so-called loss. In other words, keeping down the state’s profits. Thus there will be a move to erase the smoking ban from the state’s books.

This is truly some bizzare stuff. This group of Occupy Wall Street idiots are gathered in Atlanta. These Marxists when through some kind of wacko exercise, the ultimate outcome of which was that they did not allow one of their greatest allies, Democrat Rep. John Lewis, to speak to them.

I wasn’t able to be at the Values Voter Summit in Washington D.C. this year, but thankfully MRC TV is there to keep us filled in. This video is of Michele Bachmann at the VVS yesterday. We need a good conservative woman like her in the White House.

The published demands of the Wall Street protesters make clear what their goals are and what is their vision of America’s future. It would not be the America that we know. It would not be the America millions of Americans have fought and died and sacrificed for. It would be a society that the Bolsheviks of 1918 Russia would applaud. If they had their way we could be sure the purges would begin soon after and a new age of human oppression and slaughter would ensue.

So some of the people who seek to destroy freedom and the free market in America are getting paid to do it? What a deal! When I joined the Tea Party movement, I didn’t get paid a dime. at? You say we have to be trying to tear down America, not restore freedom, fiscal responsibility and respect for the Constitution, to qualify?

Hilarious. These idiot Marxists are so revved up, they don’t even get that CBS and the rest of the “mainstream” media is their buddy, their pal, their friend, their ally. Some don’t even know why they’re there, but they’re waiting for a “Message Committee” to tell them.

The Tea Party movement is protest against abuse of political power and the increasing marginalization and disrespect for truths, such as protection of life, liberty and property that define American freedom. Occupy Wall Street is about lust for political power, about defining what others should have, and redistributing and spending what belongs to some else.

When I saw this, I knew Barack Obama and all his little socialist followers had to be swallowing their snuff and munching on their tongues. The latest Zogby poll finds Republican businessman Herman Cain leading Obama, and way out in front of that liberal RINO Mitt “RomneyCare” Romney.

The only way to know for sure whether you can rely on a politician once their elected is to go by their record…and Mitt “RomneyCare” Romney’s record is a pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, pro-socialized health care, pro-global warming nonsense agenda that fits in well in the Democrat Party, but not at all in the Republican Party.

From CBS News, an update on how it’s going for the hippies, hairheads, Marxists and malcontents who are trying to “Occupy Wall Street.” Note that these anti-capitalist protesters are wearing clothes manufactured by some corporation, sleeping in sleeping bags manufactured by some corporation, in a park constructed by construction corporations, and going to McDonald’s and Starbucks corporations to use the bathroom and get wireless service. Life in opposition to evil corporations is great, isn’t it?

MRC TV has an enlightening video and post about the demands of the idiots who are trying to occupy Wall Street. If we would just throw in the garbage can and burn the U.S. Constitution along with any remembrance of the values articulated in the Declaration of Independence, then throw out all common sense, we could give them everything they want. Oh, and ignore the massive-scale human suffering that would result…

You’ve probably heard the parable of the stewards and the talents from the Bible. But you may not have considered it in light of the American economic system, and the way in which we have come to punish success in this country. If we want to continue enjoying God’s blessings on our country, shouldn’t we be doing things the way she says instead of directly the opposite?

So this band of wackos, hippies, whiners, malcontents, Marxists and intellectual potted plants are supposedly on the cusp of harnessing what has led to the Tea Party movement’s incredible success (regardless of whether they have a clue what has led to the Tea Party’s success)?

Barack Obama came to America in 2008 with an agenda of hope and change, to supposedly fix what was ailing us. Instead of fixing what was ailing us, he gave us a quadruple dose of what was ailing us–big government, massive spending, financial irresponsibility, and moral turpitude. Consider this video, by the numbers of what has gotten worse under President Obama’s watch.

Sean Hannity recently had a great interview with GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain. During the interview, Cain discusses with Hannity that while some black Americans hate the country they live in, he is not among them. Cain is also on the upswing in the polls because Republicans may finally be getting tired of allowing liberals to tell them who can win and who should win.

The need to worship is hardwired into the human psyche. Yet, as unfashionable as it’s become in the last century to worship the God of Creation, the same cannot be said of the worship of political heroes. The most notable – and horrific – examples that come to mind are found in the frenzied, almost religious zeal that led to the rise of tyrants like Hitler, Stalin, and Mao. One would think that the 20th century would have broken us of our delusions about one man’s ability to perfect society, but think again.

While we’ve been seeing Marxism in the job market (forced unionism), in the tax code (sticking it to successful earners), in the public dialog (class envy), and even the education system (racial preferences), you probably never expected to see it in sports. Well, look no further.
