Florida’s young Republican Sen. Marco Rubio recently gave an important speech at the Reagan Presidential Library in California that has set off the liberal talking-head universe. He had the temerity to suggest that the huge growth in government’s role in American life over the last century “actually weakened us as a people.” The resulting onslaught from liberal blogs and cable hosts comes as no surprise because Rubio directly took on the idol at which liberals worship — Big Government.

South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley announces that the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled today in Planned Parenthood v. Rounds (III) that significant provisions of South Dakota’s abortion disclosure requirements are constitutional. “Today’s decision supports the Legislature’s goal of encouraging women seeking an abortion to make informed and voluntary decisions,” stated Attorney General Marty Jackley.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit Friday upheld the majority of South Dakota’s informed consent law, including a requirement that doctors inform pregnant women that they have “an existing relationship” with an “unborn human being.” A lower court ruling had struck down that provision because the judge concluded that preborn children are not “persons.”

Make no mistake: Children are the target of what I call the “sexual anarchy movement.” Whether it’s the movement’s pedophile wing that seeks to literally rape children, or its radical pro-abortion, homosexualist and feminist wings, which seek to rape the minds of children, the larger sexual anarchy movement has a shared goal: Attack, corrupt and destroy God’s design for human sexuality. Children are just collateral damage. The stench of sexual anarchy is masked by the soaring, disingenuous rhetoric of “tolerance,” “diversity” and “comprehensive sex education.”

Yes, on the day most Americans (the patriotic ones) celebrate the document which founded the most free and effective government in history, that guarantees the liberties of the most free people in history, some spoiled children among us will rage against all that freedom and prosperity.

The South Dakota Supreme Court has unanimously shot down the asinine lawsuit which has seen one area of government suing another area of government to force that second area of government to take more money from the citizens of South Dakota. About five years ago, a group of schools got together and filed a lawsuit against the legislature because they claimed the legislature was violating the South Dakota Constitution for the nebulous offense of failing to provide all children with “an adequate and quality education.”

Secretary of State Jason M. Gant announced today that “Officials from the South Dakota Education Association and the South Dakota Association of Health Care Organizations submitted their proposed petition language for an initiated measure to permanently increase South Dakota’s sales taxes by one percent, with the new funds being divided between health care and education.“

Excluding Florida Republican Rep. Col. Allen West, who is an honorable American war hero and conservative patriot, today I have a few words for California Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters and the various other deceitful people in the Congressional Black Caucus and their fellow-traveling leftists who are falsely accusing and attacking the taxpaying American citizens who foot the bill for this monster federal government and bloated welfare state that you all so dearly covet, because of the votes and power it brings you.
