By now you’ve no doubt heard about the latest attempt by the “mainstream” media and their fellow Leftists to brand Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) as a nut job. They’re mocking Bachmann for repeating health concerns over Gardasil HPV vaccinations. But a new article says researchers at SANE Vax Inc have found dangerous recombinant HVP DNA in the vaccine, as well as aluminum.

When it comes to government borrowing and spending as a way to “create” jobs, the Black Caucus is possibly the last vestige of the triumph of hope over experience. Or in Einstein’s famous definition of insanity, “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” What they should do is get behind “enterprise zones,” geographic areas of high unemployment that would qualify for special tax and regulatory relief to encourage investment and establishment of businesses.

Rick Perry definitely isn’t my favorite choice for president of the United States. But I will give him a big gold star for one thing: he’s managed to launch a much-needed and long-overdue airing of the bad idea that Social Security is. Perry has compared Social Security to a Ponzi scheme, but it’s actually much worse than a Ponzi scheme. As Robert Tracinski says: “A mere Ponzi scheme? We should be so lucky.”

Steven Crowder has such a funny way of getting to the truth. Like when he investigated claims that one of America’s biggest, if not THE biggest, budget expenditures is nothing but a Ponzi scheme. Yes, I’m talking about Social Security. Crowder actually looked up the definition of a Ponzi scheme according to the Security’s and Exchange Commission’s website.

Rep. Tim Scott (R-SC) has introduced a bill in the House that would prohibit the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) from forcing a business to relocate, shut down or transfer employment under any circumstance. This, in effect, would be a first step in prohibiting the NLRB from doing what it is attempting to do with Boeing in South Carolina ever again.

But did you know that the Tea Party is a collection of citizens from all backgrounds that don’t like elected or appointed government officials who over tax, over spend, and over regulate to the point of strangulating our economy, our freedoms, and our lives. Did you know that there are Tea Party Democrats–and did you know they are letting the chair of the DNC know they aren’t happy with the Tea Party-bashing?

Chris Matthews gives Rick Perry a hard time for telling the truth about Social Security, yet he has admitted several times that Social Security is a Ponzi scheme that depends on forcing you to surrender your property with your odds of ever seeing your money again pretty small. Does that sound like a system that is in harmony with American principles and values?

Republicans railed against the Obama Administration’s proposal to push the national debt to more than $26 trillion and the budget to $5.7 trillion by 2021. Yet, when the time came to put their own budget on the table, the best House Republicans could produce was a proposal by Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan where the debt still spirals up to $23 trillion, and the budget to $4.7 trillion. The annual deficit would only be cut to $391 billion by 2021.But why?

Terry Jeffrey has a very interesting column at TownHall today about the history of the Social Security program. Taking a trip back in time, we see that many of those who crafted the Social Security program realized at the time that it ran afoul of freedom and the U.S. Constitution. Indeed, one admits that if FDR hadn’t engaged in some brazen political intimidation of the Supreme Court, it likely never would have made it into law.

Who should be deciding what is said from America’s church pulpits? The government, or the leaders of those churches? The answer is obvious, and the U.S. Constitution agrees. So why are many of America’s pastors and churches afraid of speaking Biblical truth regarding the morality of issues and candidates in today’s society? Are we afraid of losing our tax exempt status? Would Christ’s apostles have been afraid of losing their tax exempt status? Isn’t it time even the threat of that was done away with?

Constitutionally, the federal government has no role in setting education policy, and any extension of the federal government’s role in any aspect of K-12 education is at best problematic. Studies show federal government involvement in education does not help students academically. Educating America’s youth best belongs in the hands of parents, school districts and local governments.

When a Republican calls Social Security what it is (a Ponzi scheme), that’s bad. When a “mainstream” media figure calls Social Security what it is (a Ponzi scheme), that’s okay. The rank hypocrisy of the “mainstream” media and the rest of the Left knows no bounds or depths, does it?

At this year’s 10th anniverary remembrance of 911, guest speakers at Ground Zero included President Obama, former President Bush, and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Musical performances by Yo-Yo Ma, James Taylor and Paul Simon provided a bittersweet score for the occasion. There was one demographic, however, that was conspicuously absent from the ceremony. Citing a lack of space and the “separation of Church and State,” Mayor Bloomberg denied religious clergy a place in the memorial service.

A key hindrance to the community of today’s church is not a weakness of the institutional church and its leadership but rather the radical individualism of its members. This is not simply a matter of concern over sporadic church attendance or mediocre participation in the church potluck dinner; the absence of visible community is a central underlying principle that undermines the witness of God’s people and opposes the redemptive mission of God!

The Watchmen on the Wall 2011 Northern Plains Pastor’s Briefing was held today in Rapid City, South Dakota. Watchmen on the Wall holds a national briefing every year in May, but very few across the country; Rapid City was fortunate to be chosen to host this year’s event for the Northern Plains area.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry made waves during a recent Republican presidential debate when he referred to Social Security as a “Ponzi scheme.” In defending itself against Perry’s criticism, the Social Security Administration (SSA) released a statement acknowledging that the program “is and always has been either a ‘pay-as-you-go’ system or one that was partially advance-funded.” Translation? Yes, it’s a Ponzi scheme.

South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley announces that the State will not seek to collect the court costs against the Plaintiff parents in the school funding litigation. On September 1, 2011, the South Dakota Supreme Court unanimously held that the Plaintiffs in Davis v. State failed to prove that the South Dakota School funding system is unconstitutional. Under South Dakota law, a prevailing party is legally entitled to receive costs necessarily incurred in gathering and procuring evidence for both trial and appeal, excluding expert and attorney fees.

Hope and change were the magic words that swept a relatively unknown, inexperienced Barack Obama into the Oval Office. He campaigned as the one able to fix the Bush economy. Once in office, he has protested that he didn’t know how bad the economy was even though that was what he had run his campaign on. The solution to our current malaise is not more of the same. It isn’t spreading the wealth around in a step-by-step slide into socialism.

That growth translates into higher stock returns for investors savvy enough to look for governmental fiscal restraint rather than government stimulus. While many economists acknowledge that freedom matters, few investment strategies take advantage of this fact.
