These American Leftists are so predictable. Recently, the Marxists and takers of our society railed and wailed against Wall Street and all that evil money (that isn’t in their pockets). Now Van Jones, former Obama Administration czar and self-confessed communist, says he and his fellow Marxists will launch an “October Offensive” against the free market and the freedom Americans have known for over 200 years.
Can anyone remember a time when Congress had a decent approval rating? Here we are after the supposed tidal wave that hit Congress last November that would forever transform the way politicians do business in Washington. Guess what happened? Nothing really changed other than the nameplates on the doors. Out-of-control spending continues. Obamacare remains the law of the land. And budgets continue to grow.
This is one of the very few out of many news reports I’ve seen about Islamic terrorist Rezwan Ferdaus, who planned to fly explosive-laden remote controlled airplanes into the U.S. Capitol and Pentagon, that actually got around to mentioning the religion of the terrorist (the Religion of Peace, of course) and the motivation for the planned attacks (to defend Allah). Consider his background. Poverty and lack of opportunity causes terrorism? Nah, never believed that one anyway.
I like the title they gave this Solyndra video at Breitbart TV: “CRONY CAPITALISM: A CONCISE HISTORY OF OBAMA’S SOLYNDRA SCANDAL” So apt: crony capitalism. Not real capitalism. Not the free market. Crony capitalism, where it looks like capitalism to a point, but it’s really shuffling the taxpayer’s money to your friends so they can in turn shuffle some of it back your way, come election time.
With the price of having dinner with President Obama getting down to a bargain-basement price of $3, the price might be about right for me to contribute to his re-election campaign in order to gain access to give him a piece of my mind. I could still sleep at night if I only gave $3 to this Marxist who is intend on destroying my country. I have to agree with Jimmy Kimmel, though, in that it just seems wrong for dinner with the President of the United States to cost less than a Hot Pocket.
As part of a settlement of an Alliance Defense Fund lawsuit, the city of Mission voted Wednesday to exempt from its “driveway tax” churches and other entities who are exempt from property taxes under state law. The odd tax, similar to ones struck down by supreme courts in two other states, bills property owners based on the number of trips in and out of their driveways.
