The latest GOP presidential debate was held tonight in Orlando, Florida. Candidates present were Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), businessman Herman Cain, former Pennsylvania senator Rick Santorum, Texas governor Rick Perry, former Massachusetts governor Mitt “RomneyCare” Romney, Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX), former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, former Utah governor, Jon Huntsman, and former New Mexico governor Gary Johnson. Tonight’s debate also featured online questions from across the nation.
What do you get when you have government doing things it is not authorized by the U.S. Constitution to do, doing things that the private sector should be doing and is better equipped to do? You have things like welfare recipients taking trips across the country including Hawaii, spending taxpayer dollars in nail salons and vacation resorts…and an atmosphere that promotes and rewards irresponsibility.
As our nation slides ever deeper into the moral abyss, one has to wonder where are to be found the people who best understand the dangers of such folly. With few exceptions they are AWOL When Christians allow what is right to be marginalized, we soon have the situation we see today where what is right is forced to bend to what is wrong, when moral people are told to “get over” their moral convictions.
