Racists Play the Race Card Against Michele Bachmann

As I was speaking of racists playing the race card earlier today…

The Left is laughably desperate to paint conservatives as racists, and it shows when they go so far as to insert words a person never even said into a quote to make their opponent look like a bigot.

At the Midwest Spirit Christian Music Festival in Iowa on Aug. 5, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) took to the stage on a rainy day and asked, “Who likes wet people?”

Leftist Wonkett, however, felt it necessary to make the claim that she said, “Who likes white people?”

It’s getting pretty bad when Yahoo News has to straighten out the Leftists.

Michele Bachmann is the most conservative candidate in the 2012 presidential race.  This makes her the #1 target of Leftists everywhere.

Rick Perry?  Yeah, he’s fairly conservative, too, and he’s been targeted by the Left for ridicule, but since Bachmann is more solidly conservative and Tea Party-friendly than Perry, she catches the lion’s share of Leftist hatred. It is imperative to them that she be utterly discredited and destroyed, for their heads would explode if she is elected president.

I don’t know about you, but I’d rather like to see a Bachmann presidency and a total meltdown on the Left. I’d pay good money to see it.  Let’s not settle for “the one who (we think) can win;” let’s get behind the best candidate. Let’s make it happen.
