By now you’ve certainly heard of the slaughter by Anders Breivik in Norway, and that he is a “conservative Christian” terrorist.Though the “mainstream” media and others on the Left have been searching high and low for a conservative and/or Christian terrorist for a long time, what are the odds that they’ve finally found one on which to pin all their hopes and dreams (of a smear that will stick against conservatives)? When you look at his stated beliefs and actions, not very good.
A number of times before I’ve discussed why Mitt “RomneyCare” Romney is nothing but another liberal who has an “R” after his name, and is not a real Republican. One of those reasons is the fact that he allowed homosexual activists to implement the counterfeiting of marriage in his state. In fact, he did more than simply stand aside and allow marriage to be undermined–he facilitated it. Here are 24 ways in which he did it.
President Obama’s leverage right now on this issue is default and withholding entitlements checks; the “Full Faith and Credit Act” takes those threats off the table by prioritizing how revenue is spent, and a mere short-term extension with $400 billion of immediate cuts will provide both houses the time to enact a long-term measure that adheres to the principles of “Cut, Cap, and Balance.” So, Boehner should take away Obama’s loaded gun — before someone gets shot.
Though he is only in his first term in the U.S. House of Representatives, doesn’t listening to retired lieutenant colonel and Representative Allen West from Florida talk with courage and conviction about core American values, about the principles that made this country great and can make her great again, make you want to see him in the White House?
We all think we are invincible. We all think we will have another day. Then one day there isn’t another day and our day is done. With his dismal record of retrenchment and failure how can President Obama possibly win re-election? His only chance is the Clinton formula. There has to be a viable third party candidate or the Republicans could resurrect Herbert Hoover and win in a landslide.
The Obama administration has been claiming that failure to raise the debt ceiling would be the end of the world. We are all tired of failed apocalyptic predictions. Perhaps all that will end is politics as usual. All the dire consequences of not raising the debt ceiling pale in comparison with the dangers of continuing to add to our deficit. I’m certain that partisan forces will push for the worst possible consequences if a deal is not reached, but I’m hopeful that the average American will not be snookered.
A special legislative committee is looking at all the sales and use tax exemptions there are on the books in our state. The committee is looking to find additional funding to help run state government. Will it find that money by eliminating some or all of those exemptions? It would take a lot of intestinal courage to do so, but do our legislators have the stomach to do it? Looking at the size of this herd of sacred cows, certainly there must be some that should be put back on the discussion list.
An elderly woman sent bills to our office and asked why the bills were not paid by Medicare and her Medicare supplement insurance policy. I reviewed the bills and phoned the client’s insurance company to ask questions about the unpaid bills. The insurance company had no claims regarding this client for the entire year. That means that Medicare failed to send any claims to the insurance company for the entire first half of 2011.
