Those of us who see the danger of the Islamist invasion of America have been sounding the warning that Islamic Shariah law is creeping into our system, and now we have an alarming report from the Center for Security Policy confirming the fact that Shariah is usurping the Constitution in courts all across America. Since Shariah law is entirely incompatible with western civilization, this is a most disturbing development.

Isn’t this just special? The party that raided Medicare to the tune of $575 BILLION last year to pay for ObamaCare now claims a Republican plan to restore fiscal responsibility to senior health care is like throwing Grandma over a cliff. All the Left has are lies and scare tactics…but it can be fun watching them make hypocritical fools of themselves.

Hippies once were the counterculture. Liberals were the nonconformist rebels, boldly wearing unwashed anarchy on tattered sleeve. They loudly and proudly raged against the establishment machine. Today, they are the establishment machine. In this up-is-down, spend-money-to-save-money world, conservatives have become the contemporary nonconformists.

Last Sunday, Pastor John Hagee in San Antonio, TX devoted a church service to honoring Israel, God’s chosen people who regained in 1948 the homeland God gave them more than 3,000 years ago. Apparently, some pro-terrorist liberals caught wind of his plans and had a bunch of their raucous number in the crowd to slander Israel and Israelis, and disrupt this church service.

The Obama Administration is extremely insecure. What other conclusion can I reach when the Obamessiah receives uniformly glowing coverage of everything he does (or doesn’t) do as well as a whitewash of anything negative…yet the Administration feels the need shut out any journalists that don’t provide 100% of the adoring and spotlighted coverage The One demands.

Why does the Left continue to be infatuated with an economic and political system that has failed every single time it has been tried around the world throughout history? The desire for freedom is something hardwired into the fabric of the human soul. Unfortunately, so is the desire for power and control. As inspiring as these cries for liberty may be, it is questionable whether stable, authentic democracy will ever triumph in the Middle East. Why? Quite simply, because the region lacks some of the essential cultural foundations necessary for democracy to thrive.

Criminal charges against one single black mother and conviction of another for sending their children to schools in districts in which they are not residents provide yet more indications of deep seated problems festering in our country. Moreover, it makes you wonder about how long it is going to take for blacks to wake up to their real problems and who and what holds up black progress.

Tuesday night’s mayoral forum was sponsored by the Rapid City Tea Party group Citizens for Liberty and moderated by Brad Anderson of KTOQ AM radio. Participating in the forum were current Mayor Alan Hanks, Alderman Sam Kookier, Alderman Ron Weifenbach, and Rapid City businessman Pete Wernicke. This question involved whether Rapid City government is using too many unelected task forces and whether they have too much influence over decisions that affect the future of the city.
