As some struggle to bring federal spending under control and restore fiscal sanity to our country, we see a Defense Department cut that even the most aggressive of hawks can support. Meanwhile on the Left, liberals shamelessly reach for human shields to defend their government-god and keep his largess from being cut. What they don’t realize is that the Left no longer has a monopoly on the media, and the American people are awake to the need for us to get our fiscal house in order.

This year marks 6 years since the tragic and untimely death of Terri Schindler Schiavo by dehydration and starvation at the hands of her husband. Life Legal Defense Foundation’s Board of Directors and staff want to honor Terri’s memory by once again remembering Terri on the anniversary of her death, March 31. We will never forget Terri, nor will we forget her family’s valiant efforts to save her life.

The Democrats in Wisconsin have been so radical in their efforts to maintain current levels of government largess and the power of Marxist unions, even card-carrying communists like Scott Marshall, Communist Party USA Vice Chair, are surprised. But pleasantly surprised.

Meanwhile, he misses the increasing costs of health care due to ObamaCare, the high unemployment, massive national debt and other problems facing our country.

South Dakota Secretary of State Jason Gant announced today that a group of South Dakotans have filed paperwork with his office to refer House Bill 1230, an act to establish the large project development fund, to a public vote during the November 6, 2012 general election.

Radio talk show host Shad Olson and I recently discussed on KLMP the continuing resolutions being passed by the U.S. House and how we felt about support for those bills from Rep. Kristi Noem (R-SD). It seems some Tea Party patriots across the country are getting pretty impatient with the fiscal conservatives they thought they elected back in November, and are already talking about running a 2012 primary challenger against the people they just helped get elected.

The 20121 presidential field includes Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, and Herman Cain. There is another possible contender for the Republican nomination: Donald Trump. Now, before I get into this, I want to say that I like Donald Trump, even though, of course, I have never met him, have never looked him in his eyes. I like his presence, his force. I like the way he speaks with firmness. He is certainly a strong, male leader, which is what I want in the White House. But…

Allow me to make a few things clear before we begin. I don’t believe in evolution. Also, even in the days many years ago when I drank alcohol, I never liked beer. And although I enjoyed hunting somewhat in my youth, I’ve never been much of a hunter in my adult years. Nevertheless, this video on the evolution of humans into liberals and conservatives is hilarious!

Entitlement programs, also known as mandatory spending, account for two-thirds of the federal budget. This current fiscal year, mandatory spending exceeds total federal receipts. In hard numbers, mandatory spending is estimated to cost this country $2.194 trillion this year alone, according to the Office of Management and Budget, whereas total government revenues for fiscal year 2011 are projected at $2.174 trillion.
