“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!” – Samuel Adams

The EPA Must Be Stopped

If it was ever useful to begin with, the United States Environmental Protection Agency has outlived its usefulness and should be put out of our misery.  Ostensibly to “save the planet” from the monumental hoax of the modern era, anthropogenic (man-caused) global warming, the Obama administration is using the EPA, under the auspices of the Clean Air Act, to do an end run around Congress to force the equivalent of “cap and trade” on American businesses, which would then pass on the regulation costs to all Americans.  You think your cost of living is high now?  Unless the EPA is stopped, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.

Lately, it’s like living in some kind of nutty nightmare with all these government agencies, the media, academia, Hollywood, and many others squarely on board with the global warming scam, as if they honestly believe it’s true.  Oh, they had to change the name of “global warming,” since it became painfully apparent that there was no such “crisis” outside of the global warming that occurs when summer hits your hemisphere.  No, the communist enviro-fascists could not hold up the ruse by using the term “global warming,” so they went down to their imaging department in the depths of propaganda hell and returned with a sure-fire term that would weather all seasons: climate change!

Climate change is guaranteed to occur approximately four times a year, so how could they lose with that one?  Now, no matter what kind of weather happens, these geniuses blindly proclaim, “It’s climate change!”  Do they see the irony?  Maybe they do, but I don’t think it really matters to them how foolish they look.  Their goal for massive, global wealth redistribution is what counts, and this bogus earth-worship campaign is the best idea they could muster to make it happen.  It’s their story, and they’re sticking to it, come hell or high water (either of which would, of course, be due to climate change).

The evil, wealth-robbing scheme of “cap and trade” was quickly rejected by all thinking Americans, which made it difficult, if not impossible, to ram it through Congress, so the communists of the Obama administration decided to use the EPA to accomplish the same result.  Thus, a year ago we saw the EPA declare carbon dioxide (CO2) and five other so-called “greenhouse gases” to be a terrible menace to the ever-worshipped environment and to public health and unilaterally gave themselves the power to “regulate” CO2 emissions.

This is preposterous, and the pushers of this lie of global warming have to know it.  Not to regress to 6th grade science here, but need I remind global warming kool-aid drinkers that carbon dioxide is a vital part of our air?  CO2 is food for plants.  A by-product of plant consumption of CO2 is oxygen!  The hoax of anthropogenic global warming is not even a clever one!  Do you know what the most prevalent greenhouse gas in our atmosphere is?  Water vapor–that oh-so-dangerous greenhouse gas of which clouds are formed!

The good news in all this EPA bunk is that Republicans may not stand down and simply allow an unelected agency, which is not accountable to the people, to dictate environmental policy without the approval of Congress.  Michigan Congressman Fred Upton, a Republican, who will head the House Energy and Commerce Committee in the 112th Congress, has said he will work to stop the EPA from making this massive power grab.  Rep. Upton has apparently had a major change of heart.  You may recall that he was the guy who authored the ridiculous and despotic ban on incandescent light bulbs a few years back.  Well, now he says that was a bad idea, and he’s going to work to undo the legislation. Is this a zebra that is changing its stripes?

Fox News online reports,

“Unconstitutional power grab. Regulatory assault. Job-killing scheme.

These are just a few of the phrases Rep. Fred Upton has used to described the Obama administration’s bid to unilaterally regulate emissions through the EPA, in the absence of a comprehensive ‘cap-and-trade’ energy bill. Upton’s rhetoric, and his enthusiasm for defeating a host of new pollution rules, will get a powerful platform next session when he assumes the chairmanship of the House Energy and Commerce Committee.

‘We will fight the administration’s relentless assault on jobs — and stop them from doing through regulation what they have been unable to accomplish through legislation,’ Upton told FoxNews.com in a written statement.”

Good for him, if he follows through.

The state of Texas has not waited for the members of Congress to act on behalf of the states.  Texas has actively resisted the EPA and has sued it to prevent the outrageous regulations from taking effect.  However, another out-of-line court, the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, has ignored the Constitution and blocked the request for a delay in the imposition of the EPA’s onerous, job-killing regulations until another—probably also out-of-line—court can issue a ruling on the EPA regulations.  As reported on Reuters last week,

“Beginning Jan 2, EPA will require large emitters such as power plants, refineries and cement manufacturers to obtain permits for polluting greenhouse gases.

The EPA has said it will issue permits for Texas, which has refused to adopt rules for emissions. Opponents of the climate rules say they will hurt the economy and kill jobs.

In its lawsuit, Texas called the EPA’s carbon regulations ‘unlawful’ and said the agency’s attempt to force state compliance with the rules was ‘contrary to both the Clean Air Act and the Constitution.’”

Over the couple of days that I was working on writing this column, I saw a large number of articles about this same topic coming out all over the Internet.  That’s good.  It means that the EPA is going to have a harder time getting away with this criminal power grab.  The EPA is not a benign organization only looking out for the best interests of our air quality and our environment.  No.  It is now just another communist tool of the Obama administration, which is attempting for force the stupid “green” lifestyle on us all, to take us back to a standard of living pre-dating the 20th century.

Go to the EPA’s website and you’ll see all the usual environmental wacko topics and terminology, including the headline, “EPA Launches Green Power Community Challenge Nationwide” and articles dealing with the classic leftist crusade for “environmental justice.”  Environmental justice?  There’s your communist code language for taking everyone down to the same impoverished level.

Look at Obama’s pick for EPA administrator, Lisa Jackson, whose profile begins with this,

“Administrator Lisa P. Jackson leads EPA’s efforts to protect the health and environment for all Americans. She and a staff of more than 17,000 professionals are working across the nation to usher in a green economy…”

She’s working to “usher” in a green economy.  What does that mean?  It means wealth redistribution—mainly away from those who earn the money and into the big mouth of the government; it means loss of personal freedom and limited choices; it means federal and state robbery of private property rights; it means exorbitant prices on all products, services and utilities.  Actually, “going green” is a vile and completely counterintuitive way of life never before imposed on America, and it is exactly what the wicked people in the Obama administration and his flunkies like Lisa Jackson want to force on us all.

The bad thing is, deep “green” inroads have already been made all across the country as local city councils have bought into the aggressive campaign by nongovernmental organizations which push for so-called “sustainable development.”  Sustainable development is more of that communist code language which does not mean what it sounds like it means.  Several generations of school kids have been programmed in this faulty mindset.  As Henry Lamb writes at sovereignty.net,

This vision is quite attractive to many Americans, especially those born since 1970, who have been educated in the public school system. To these people, nothing is more important than saving the planet from the certain catastrophe that lies ahead, if people are allowed to continue their greedy abuse of natural resources. The public school system, and the media, have been quite successful in shaping new attitudes and values to support this vision of how the world should be.”

As usual, the leftists have targeted the kids as they look forward to imposing on America their evil utopian vision for the world.  It will be an extremely difficult battle to undo the brainwashing of the young people who have been fed a steady diet of lies that will ultimately lead to their enslavement under their “green” masters.

Henry Lamb’s website, sovereignty.net, is full of valuable information exposing the globalist agenda, and his sustainable development piece (linked above) is a must-read for anyone who values freedom and is not aware of the sinister agenda of the sustainable development movement, which has been helped along the way by the EPA.

The EPA must be stopped.  The Republican Congress must take swift action to cut the legs off of the EPA and reverse this maniacal power grab.

I know I tend to be a doomsayer when it comes to the future of our country, because I fully believe we are close to, if not past, the point of no return for our constitutional republic.  I’m certain that it will literally take a miracle, an act of God, to stop the communists from fully implementing their evil plans for our great nation.  We must never go back to the complacency of our past.  We must never cease petitioning the Lord in prayer.  We must never stop clamoring to our congressmen and senators, while we still can, and demanding a return to a constitutionally restrained government.  The fate of our nation depends on it.

  1. Gina Miller,

Why are you so anal on EPA ‘s action on saving our precious planet against multi-national corporations ? Grow Up and Face the Polluters !

  2. Rick, why are you so easily duped by environmental hysteria? I’m also curious why you are so eager to not only surrender your own property rights and freedoms but those of your fellow Americans as well?

  3. Rick, you are deceived about the true nature of what the EPA is attempting to do. It has nothing to with “saving our precious planet.” It has everything to do with robbing your money and freedom.

  4. So in addition to moving all of our money to the middle east, Venezuela and other hostile to the US countries, you would like to let China take over the green manufacturing industry as well. Good idea, we don’t need any jobs here, they should all be in China where we can get cheap windmills to power our seven elevens. We won’t need much, because we won’t be able to make anything here.
Right now, we are dependent on oil much of it coming from other countries, we need to start getting off it. The best way to start is to slowly increase the price of carbon so that companies invest in other methods of energy. By regulating carbon via the EPA, something congress is unable to do, we start this process.
The idea that regulation is bad is over. A really good example of a regulation that fixed things and is a cap and trade is what stopped acid rain. Do some research on a channel other than Fox News (which is brought to you by the Carbon club), you might learn something.

  5. If the Chinese want to manufacture inefficient products for people who believe in hoaxes, let them.

If our government had the guts to tell environmental extremists like yourself to take a hike and fully exploit the oil resources we have here in America, we wouldn’t be dependent on foreign oil. We’re going to need oil for the foreseeable future (for both energy as well as all the plastics we manufacture), and no amount of Leftist wishful thinking is going to change that.

Actually, some rather simple changes in the type of coal being burned and the way the scrubbers worked did more to stop acid rain than did any cap and trade scheme.

The current “cap and tax” craze seeks to fight a problem that doesn’t exist. There is no substantial evidence that human emissions are doing the slightest thing to affect global temperatures. Rather, all the real science (we’re not talking about fudged computer models here) points to natural and cyclic temperature change up and down for thousands of years in much greater extremes than those seen today.

In other words, they’re trying to fix a problem that doesn’t exist, and rob the American people of both their hard-earned income and their freedom in the process.

You might be that gullible, but most Americans aren’t.

  6. Bob, your problem is that you say there is not a problem, but you can’t cite anything to prove your point. There is countless data showing that the amount of carbon in the atmosphere is increasing. This increase in carbon is a problem. So far, we have release about 25 to 30 gigatons of carbon per year. If we burn all that oil you want to burn without spending on alternative energy research (which could be funded by tax or cap and trade money), we are asking for problems. There is something like 10,000,000 gigatons of carbon left to burn in coal, 300 to 400 gigatons in oil. Right now, we burn more than is sunk via the ocean, etc. As the amount of carbon in the atmosphere increases, we will create more problems for humans. See skepticalscience.com

A simple thing to look at is insurance losses by the large reinsurance companies. Last year, 2010, was one of the highest loss years, the past ten have the highest losses. It is going to be hard to buy insurance if you live on this planet one day.

Now, you say that we need to exploit our resources at home, how long do you think those will last. Our oil diet is so large that we would suck our country dry in months, so your argument doesn’t hold water. You also don’t look at the global implications of what you say. Imagine that 100 million people from Bangladesh have to move somewhere, where do you think they are going to go. Not to your hometown I am sure, but maybe they will overwhelm China. Oh no, a nuclear state overwhelmed by climate refugees. Maybe we should just drop bombs on them to preempt any issues.

On your point on the simple scrubbers, etc. those were put in place because of the cap and trade, those power plants would not have installed them without some incentive. Those innovations in scrubber technology were a direct result of cap and trade, so that argument doesn’t work.

Your idea that climate models are fudged is based on reports created by Fred Singer. He is a lobbyist for Exxon and other oil interests. The models do not work if we remove human related carbon influences. The only way to make them work is if you include what we are burning., so that doesn’t work.

You say that it is a natural cycle, maybe the sun, but that would warm the upper atmosphere as well, which is actually cooling. This would be because we are not releasing heat to the upper atmosphere, so that argument doesn’t work.

Bob, you really need to learn a little, not just spout Fox News talking points.

  7. No, Paul, your problem is that you can’t cite anythying to prove your fantasy–beyond “fudged” computer model bilge, that is. Obviously you didn’t read any of the linked information I proveded.

Do you think that when the world was warmer about 1,000 years ago, it was those evil SUVs that caused it? Maybe the coal power plants we had 1,000 years ago? Or when it warmed up a few hundred years before that…or the time before that? Sorry, you just don’t have all those evil capitalists and their industry (that you have to thank for the computer you’re using right now, the car you drive, the electricity in your home…well, pretty much everything you enjoy about our modern lifestyle) to blame back then.

But now we’re supposed to believe that the latest round of warming (which inconveniently leveled off several years ago, by the way), which is milder than most of those in the past, is somehow caused by all us evil free people who are (gasp) spending our money however we please and (gasp) enjoying modern conveniences? Well, maybe you like shallow ideas that could have come off a Saturday-afternoon C-grade Sci-Fi TV movie, but I just can’t lower my intellectual standards that far.

You and your socialist ilk love to whine and bellyache about how terrible capitalism and modern industry is, but you never have any qualms about enjoying the fruits of it. You’re a pathetic hypocrite.

And by the way, none of the information I cited earlier came from Fox News–which would have still been better than the Leftist propaganda outlets like ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, PBS, NPR, the Washington Post, the New York Times, et al.

Why don’t you try thinking for yourself, stop acting like a Marxist parrot and get a grip on reality.

Even if you can’t handle real life, fewer and fewer Americans are buying this hoax all the time–less than a third now.

So if you want to end your hypocrisy by living in a hut and walking everywhere you go, have at it. Meanwhile the rest of will continue to enjoy modern life, unencumbered by socialist hoaxes.

  8. Amazing that I have pissed you off so bad. You resort to name calling, yet you know nothing about me, my motives or anything. When I give you a fact, you say that it is fantasy.

When I first posted, I didn’t defame you, yet you came right back and started name calling. I don’t see any reason to continue, you obviously are a nut and can’t hold a normal conversation.

  9. Also, it doesn’t work to cite yourself. If I owned a website like this and I spout whatever I wanted and then used that as my reference, you would be all over me, but you can do it and it is OK. You are nuts.

  10. Really? What “name” did I “call” you? Or did I merely describe you and your ideology accurately? I’ve found that when socialists and other liberals are described accurately, the object strongly and whine about “name calling.” Liberals never do like to be associated with the consequences and implications of their bankrupt ideas.

I’m afraid it’s you, Paul, who has demonstrated beyond any doubt that you would rather live in a fantasy world of ideology and illogic rather than deal with the science and history which proves your emperor is as naked as a jaybird.

  11. Um, if you had the intellectual dexterity you would have noticed that those references contained other references. I work really hard to lead people who are intellectually challenged like yourself to the truth a step at a time. I understand that after having mindlessly accepted liberal propaganda for many years, it can be difficult to grapple with facts,/em> over assumptions and guesswork. It’s a daunting task, but one that I’m committed to. If you have the courage to pursue the truth, you’ll find that it’s worth it as well.

  12. The earth gets hot and cold. The sun is the major driver of climate. CO2 follows temperature, not the other way around. You all must think for yourselves. You all must wake up to reality. You are human cattle to your owners, slaves. Your world is an illusion of freedom and choice.
YOU ALL NEED TO WAKE UP! They have been your owners for thousands of years. Your world is the physical=(governing body), and the mental=(religious) cage of slavery that has been constructed around you since the last age, and ages before them in a cycle of creation and destruction to maintain CONTROL.
    We have precious little time.
    OMEGA PROJECT

  13. Physical = Mental. Without “spiritual” your whole foundation is lacking, and I’m NOT talking about “religious.”

  14. Yeah Rick, let’s hear it for the EPA, sitting on their collective backside as BP (multi-national corporation) sprayed 2 millon gallons of toxic Corexit oil dispersant into the water of our Gulf of Mexico!

  15. Wait. Maybe I should clarify what I was saying to you.

If we only take into account what we see and think–the physical realm, and discount or don’t acknowledge that there is an unseen spriritual dimension to our whole existence, then we’re missing a massive part of the whole picture.

That’s what I meant, which may not have been clear from my quick one-liner above.

    God bless you, Marine.

  16. Hey Genius,
First of all, there is no such thing as Cap and Trade…yet. My brother is a chemical engineer and has designed and serviced scrubbers in plant applications for a couple of DECADES! Scrubbers are a great invention and we all benefit from the technology. There’s an old saying in a crisis situation;” If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem”. Instead of bashing the country you live in, get off your lazy @##$% and be the next Edison and create something. The Chinese will not be here to help you.

  17. So many people try these days to suggest that you can only be concerned abou the environment if you are some kind of leftie, but the EPA was first proposed by Richard Nixon — hardly a communist plotter!

It is also a myth that global warming has been ‘rebranded’ as climate-change recently. The term climate change has been in use for decades. For example, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change was created in 1988 — with the endorsement of the Reagan (US) and Thatcher (UK) administrations.

Back then Republicans and Conservatives were into conserving… What has changed? People have been tricked into thinking that because their political opponents care about the environment then they must ignore the threats to the environment.

Public opinion in the US is so far adrift from that in the rest of the industrialised world, even in countries with strong conservative governments.

  18. Nixon was a liberal Republican. He brought a lot of the Leftist problems we now wrestle with upon us.

It’s also a fact that while “climate change” has indeed been a term in use for years, so has “global warming,” with the latter term far more common. And as the number of people believing in the nonsense of anthropogenic global warming has plummeted, environmental extremists have deliberately been trying for the past 5-10 years to steer people away from the term “global warming” and toward “climte change.” They get far more mileage from “climate change,” though people are still seeing through even that.

Nothing has changed. Conservatives still want to conserve our way of life. We want responsible environmental stewardship–and we intend to keep our freedom.

Thank God public opinion in the United States is far from the rest of the world. America has always been the leader in freedom, prosperity, common sense and sanity. It’s time we once again fully asserted that place of leadership and stopped flirting with the idea of diminishing our standards to the lowest common denominator of lesser nations.

  19. After doing some research on the EPA, I can’t help but feel that with 18000 employees that it has become an overbloated government agency. I know it has done good things, but it has now become too vast and unwieldy and over-reaching. But I won’t enter this discussion, but have a small complaint.

I keep hearing that since SUV’s and coal factories etc were not around 1000 years ago when we had global warming, that we can’t blame these man made CO2 emitted sources for global warming now. That is an illogical argument to say that we had warming when we didn’t emit so much man made CO2 so man made CO2 could never cause it..

Have never been one to worry about ‘ the end ‘ of times of religion or of Al Gore’s demagoguery claiming that if we don’t repent and do something now that the world will end.

We have time to rationally approach and logically discuss this climate change issue.

  20. Actually it is quite logical.

We don’t have a single shred of evidence beyond predictive computer models (that environmentalists themselves admit contain “fudged” information, and fail to accurately predict climate changes over the past 20 years) that human activity is causing the planet to warm up.

Meanwhile, we have a host of evidence which contradicts their contentions, e.g. the historical record shows that CO2 follows temperature, not the other way around, and the leveling off of temperatures over the past 10 years.

Therefore, there is no compelling reason whatsoever to believe human activity is warming the earth.

When you consider the lack of evidence in favor of the AGW contention in light of the historical record which shows even greater warming and cooling cycles in the past, it quickly becomes apparently absurd to believe that human activity is causing warming.

    (1) There is no evidence for the hypothesis of AGW (assumptions, fudged computer models and hysterical conjecture do not constitution “evidence”)

    (2) There is massive evidence pointing to natural and cyclic change going back thousands of years.

Ergo, blaming SUVs and coal power plants for any modern warming is absurd when change has occurred in even greater extremes long before such things were invented.

Even if there was a dearth of scientific and historical data which refuted this silly contention, Occam’s Razor points us to natural causes (that massive flaming ball in the center of our solar system as the prime factor) with a high threshhold of credibility for any theory to the contrary.

  21. I see the Propaganda Fairy has paid us a visit!

A radio disk jockey? Obviously better qualified than the propaganda artists pushing this nutty idea that human activity is causing the earth to warm up–when it’s been doing so for thousands of years before human industrial activity was ever invented. Not do diminish radio disk jockey’s, but most junior-high school kids unencumbered by propaganda could figure out that this dog don’t hunt.

Fox News? Far more fair and balanced, as well as factual, than the Leftist propaganda outlets found at ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBS, PBS, NPR, the New York Times, the Washington Post, et al.

Hate to burst your bubble, but you won’t find a role for meddling in the private affairs of businesses or individuals in Article 1 Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution. You know, that document which is the highest law of our nation by which all other laws are judged? It doesn’t matter what activist judges say; if the U.S. Constitution doesn’t provide authority for it, any such government activity is illegal.

Clean energy is a wonderful thing, and we have quite a bit of it. But wasting money on windmills (which still cost considerably more than coal-powered electricity, even when you consider the taxpayer subsidies they receive) in the absence of any real environmental threat is about as silly as getting out and pushing your own car to work. Of course, silliness never stopped liberals from doing anything–especially when they can get someone else to foot the bill for it.

Thank God the U.S. hasn’t been stupid enough to completely go along with the hoax known as anthropogenic global warming. If all of your friends were jumping off a cliff, would you run after them screaming, “Wait for me”? I’m sure a lot of Leftists would, but most Americans are too smart for that. That’s why the number of people who believe in this silly idea continues to drop (it’s down to less than 1/3 of the people now).

By the way, while I’ve never received a dime from an oil company, I’m grateful they exist to provide our modern, healthy lifestyle of convenience. If you were less of a hypocrite, you’d drive around a while in the automobile I’m sure sits outside your home–the one that not only burns petroleum products but in this age of plastic is largely constructed of petroleum products, go into your home which is probably powered by fossil fuels, flip on the light switch made with petroleum products, get on your computer which was delivered to your home using petroleum products and is constructed largely of petroleum products and is powered by petroleum products, and thank Big Oil profusely for the easy life you enjoy.

That is, if you weren’t a Leftist hypocrite.

  22. You mean this disc jockey can’t compete with all those brilliant climate “scientists” of the IPCC and East Anglia University? You mean the ones who MADE STUFF UP to justify their ridiculous “conclusions”? Yeah, you’re probably right; I’m too committed to the world of truth to compete with a bunch of lying hacks.

  23. Well said Gina.

  24. Syncro, you know how wearisome the leftists kool-aid drinkers are! Instead of actually opening their eyes to the reality of what their Marxist masters are doing to them, they attack my profession.

I hope you’re staying warm waaaay up there in the Great White North! :-)

  25. I’m sure your critics are all PhD-level environmental scientists; otherwise, they would unqualified and hypocritical to criticize you, would they? :-)

  26. Yes! As you know, no one is allowed to make a statement on the “climate” unless he has a doctorate in cloud studies. Never mind that any of us with an IQ higher than a swim fin can simply look out our window! :-)

  27. Syncro, it will take more than a few leftist morons to wear me down. Let ‘em keep on screeching, and we’ll keep on heaping coals of burning truth on their poor lost heads.

I wish we had an indoor fireplace! That would be so nice. All we have is a little round aluminum dish thingy that sits in an iron frame in which we can burn an outside fire with cast-off wood we scrounge up. We like it on cold evenings, though, since we spend so much time sitting outside.

    I’m glad you’re staying globally warm. :-)

  28. Amen, Brother! Down with the EPA!

  29. Here is truth!
It doesn’t matter if they call themselves Democrat or Republican. They are both playing us ALL for fools. They will say anything to retain power. Stop being deceived that your side is telling you the truth. Divide and conquer is the name of the game. Look out of your window or watch the forecasts if you want to know what the weather is. We will ALL go down if you believe these liars.

  30. Didn’t you hear….Jullian broke the Climategate file…or NOT.

  31. Didn’t you hear….Jullian broke the Climategate file…or NOT.

  32. Sorry, Propaganda Fairy. We just don’t have time for your hypocritical “I hate the oil companies” diatribes here. We’ve given you access to useful information that could have enlightened you, yet you’ve zealously shoved your fists into your eye sockets and insisted on embracing the darkness of ignorance. That’s your choice, but this isn’t a platform for the perpetuation of lies; ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC. PBS, NPR, the Washington Post, the New York Times, et al already perform exceptionally well in that department.

  33. You don’t get to come in here and tell me I’m not qualified to make a statement. You know NOTHING about me except the little bit of a bio I allow to be posted here, which tells almost nothing about my life and education.

You leftists trolls have one common tactic–attempting to tell us that because we’re not “climate scientists” that we have no access to knowledge about the world around us and therefore are not allowed to have an informed opinion. You maniacs use the same tactic when it comes to homosexuality. YOU’RE DEAD WRONG. TAKE A HIKE, PAL.

  34. You are very deceived.

We are indeed dependent on fossil fuels, and will be for the foreseeable future.  All the wishful thinking of all the world’s liberals will do nothing to magically make a clean, reliable and inexpensive energy source pop into existence as the Left seems to believe.  Even if we snapped our fingers tonight and magically produced a clean energy source, we would still need large amounts of petroleum to make the plastic that virtually everything is constructed of these days. We have plenty of oil here in the United States, if only our politicians would stop listening to the socialist environmentalists who scream at the thought of us using our own natural resources.

Green energy”  and “green jobs” are also a farce.   Our own limited experience with it as well as the more considerable experience of nations around the world illustrates that it is a massive waste, a drag on the economy, a job killer, and harmful to the economy and poverty levels of whatever country is foolish enough to play with it.

The hypothesis of anthropogenic global warming is complete nonsense.  There is nothing beyond fudged computer models (that can’t predict anything but the past) to support this contention, and all the hard science and historical data points overwhelmingly to natural and cyclic climate change going back thousands of years.

The “hypothesis” of anthropogenic global warming is, at best, based on junk science. It is little more than a socialist scheme intended to fool people into surrendering their freedom as well as their property for wealth redistribution schemes.

The sooner we completely end the ongoing infatuation with this nonsense, the better. Fortunately, only about 1/3 of Americans buy this junk anymore (but most of them are in the “mainstream” media and in government).

  35. There are only a handful of organizations that originate data; the rest regurgitate what they get from the “fudged” numbers at East Anglia.

It’s interesting that you’ve been shown that climate change goes back thousands of years–long before SUVs and other evil capitalist inventions came along to destroy the planet–yet you miss the obvious conclusion to be drawn from this: climate changes comes and goes–it’s NATURAL.

Ignorance is one thing; that means you just haven’t been exposed to the facts. When one has been exposed to the facts and then still either fails to grasp them or refuses to grasp them…well, I’ll leave it to your imagine to find a word fitting for that behavior, but it isn’t as complimentary as “ignorance.”
