The Left continues its campaign of demonization and lies against Sarah Palin and conservatives who dare interrupt their liberal narrative. When Sarah Palin dared issue a statement this morning defending herself against the liberal smear campaign, Leftists in the “mainstream” media had the audacity to accuse her of finding a way to make herself “part of the story.” The hypocrisy of the Left is astounding.

House Republicans have released a report documenting the real costs of ObamaCare at $2.6 trillion upon full implementation and $701 billion in new debt in its first ten years alone. “The law was written to measure 10 years of tax increases to offset 6 years of new spending. There is no question that the creation of a trillion-dollar open-ended entitlement is a fiscal train wreck,” Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) said. Which is why it must be repealed.

Though Martin Luther King was with us for only a short time, his legacy has been far-reaching. Indeed, one of the most important and timely lessons he imparted was that when government fails to listen, then it is within our power as a free people to press for change through peaceful, nonviolent resistance.

In addition to some of the “heated rhetoric” in need of being “toned down” that I showed you a few days ago, this is a gentle reminder of what “heated rhetoric” looks like. Any liberals up for toning this down? I have to admit, while I’m a First Amendment kinda guy, I might actually be able to join liberals in calling for this kind of “harsh rhetoric” to be banned. It reminds me of fingernails on a chalkboard.

But what would you say of a congressman’s call for his opponent to be put up against a wall and shot? What would you say if that congressman was a Democrat?

While liberals have blamed some others (Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, the Tea Party movement) for the actions of one deranged individual, Palin has been the most vilified in this opportunistic con job. She displays remarkable grace in responding to the enemies of free speech and the American way.

“We the People” by Due South, remains one of the greats among modern patriotic/Tea Party type songs. It is offered again in honor of the First Amendment which guarantees our God-given right to free speech…even if that free speech ticks off the ruling class, even if that free speech upsets the Left so bad they’re willing to hijack a senseless killing in a crass attempt to shut us up.

The act of a deranged individual in Arizona has turned into a war on conservatives by the American Left which seeks a tactical advantage in policy debates. Let’s call it for what it is: a shameless, callous attempt to use the tragedy of others for gain, political or otherwise. This renders these people as contemptible as the shooter. But it makes these self-appointed moralists something else; it makes them extremely dangerous.

The amount of the charitable contribution is excluded from taxable income. Therefore it won’t artificially inflate AGI and trigger an excessive tax burden. The 86th session of the South Dakota Legislature opened this week and I am sure a number of our legislators have made resolutions as to what they want to accomplish or not accomplish during this 38-day session. But a new poll out from CBS reveals the smear campaign has failed: a large majority of the American people just aren’t buying it. And the “New Media” helped cut through the barrage of propaganda.

Christians from across the state of South Dakota came to the state capital in Pierre on a chilly day today to pray for lawmakers and the state government. Today was the first day of the 2011 legislative session. There were about 80-90 gathered for the “Restoration Rally” in the capitol building this morning, with about 45 of those coming from Rapid City on a bus.

It’s easy to see why the number of people who buy this bunk is falling–down to somewhere around 30% of Americans now. Of course, it’ll probably never get down to zero; some people simply lack the intelligence to employ analytical skills, especially when emotionalism is so much easier than dealing with facts.

In a very practical sense, the church would no longer prepare itself for redemptive occupation of the world as Christ commanded but would instead condemn the world as a sinking ship in need of evacuation. Tragically, this pessimism toward the world would become the prevailing evangelical position in America until just recently.

The horrific slaughter of innocents in Tucson has brought forth a frenzied cacophany of blame from CNN, NPR, MSNBC, Daily Kos and all the other usual suspects. It’s the climate of hate and vitriol fostered by the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and Hannity that is to blame for the killings. When questoned as to whether any link between the psychotic killer and conservative commentators had been discovered, Sheriff Clarence Dupnik (sounds like…) responded “Not yet.”

Some Leftist can’t wait to use this tragedy as an excuse to rob law-abiding Americans of their Second Amendment freedom, but as reprehensible as that is, we have seen even worse behavior from the Left in the wake of this bloodshed. If the Left insists on continuing this boorish, shameless behavior, we cannot stop them. If they press on with writing their false charges against conservatives using as ink the blood of innocent people, we cannot prevent that. But we can expose them for the liars, the charlatains, the propaganda ministers, the craven opportunists that they are.

The Convoy of Hope is coming to Rapid City August 20, 2011. Convoy of Hope is a faith-based organization headquartered in Missouri that helps the needy with food and other assistance. When the Convoy comes to Rapid City in August, they will bring free medical care, a job fair and back-to-school supplies.

Though Leftist blogs and commentators wasted absolutely no time in declaring the gunman who shot Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) was a Tea Party conservative (before anyone even knew his name), I held off on making any comments until a little more was known. Now it is becoming apparent that some of the information coming out about him could fit in the profile of a conservative, but most of it fits the profile of a liberal…if not an outright wackjob that defies political categorization. This has not stopped Leftists from using this horrible crime as a vehicle to attack their ideological opponents, however.

The diversity police clamor for division in the Republican Party, yet the GOP has for too long been so divided and riven with liberalism that there has been little to no correlation between what GOP said it stands for and what it actually does. If the GOP is successful in achieving basic ideological unity within its party, then the American people will have an easier time determining if the conservative approach to government is something they support, and the charlatans inside the Beltway will have a harder time gumming up the works with politics as usual.
