When I say that the majority of Christians have embraced and teach a truncated version of the gospel, this in no way suggests that those who do so are false or unfaithful Christians. Neither does this suggest that they are biblically ignorant or insincere in their desire to grow in their knowledge and understanding of the Lord. The fact is, most of us were raised on this truncated and privatized version of the gospel. We have taught it and lovingly shared it with others, and many of us received salvation upon hearing these simple words. It is, as are we, a product of the times in which we live.

Note to the left: your tattered agenda was not the victim of 1-9-11. The congresswoman and the other victims fighting for their lives, and the families of the dead are enduring unspeakable pain right now. Let not the bullets of a deranged killer or the false accusations of professional windbags stifle political debate even further. May the injured recover safely and quickly and to the fallen, rest in peace.

News sources in Tucson, Arizona report that Eric Fuller, a victim of Jared Loughner’s shooting last week who subsequently went on to blame political figures for Loughner’s actions, has himself now been arrested for making a death threat against a Tea Party leader. At a town hall meeting today in Tucson, Fuller is reported to have publicly taken a photo of Tea Party leader Trent Humphries and told him, “You’re dead.”

He apparently has some kind of fascination with hypnosis as revealed by his page on Hypnothoughts.com. The tragic shooting in Tuscon, AZ continues to dominate the headlines and occupy the attention of our President and Congress. In the world of politics, however, who gives a fig about helpful or fair? Never let a good tragedy go to waste, to paraphrase the inimitable Rahm Emmanuel. If there is political hay to be made, best to seize upon a time when emotions are running high and the people are feeling vulnerable. There is, however, something deeper and more insidious at work in the Left’s reaction to this shooting than the mere desire to score a few political points.

According to just released data from the Guttmacher Institute, 1.21 million abortions were performed in the United States in 2008. Some 30 percent of these abortions were performed on black women. With blacks accounting for about 12 percent of the U.S. population, the tragic disproportionate rate of abortion in this community is clear. Planned Parenthood, who provides a third of our nation’s abortions, gets $300 million annually from the federal government that they use to set up in black neighborhoods to perpetuate this dismal reality.

After a week of baseless, vicious lies–that began within minutes of the slaughter in Arizona last Saturday–that conservatives like Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck and the Tea Party caused Jared Loughner to kill six people and injure many others, and more baseless attacks from the Left when Sarah Palin dared defend herself, now one of the shooting victims has joined in the blood-fest, even claiming Jared Loughner was “exercising his Second Amendment rights” when he killed six people and injured more than a dozen others last Saturday.

South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley acknowledged today that the National Labor Relations Board is threatening to sue South Dakota and other states for defending the right of union members to a vote by secret ballot. Jackley made it clear that South Dakota will “vigorously defend” the South Dakota Constitution and the rights of the people of South Dakota.

A new study published in the journal Science found natural and cyclic climate change may have contributed to the fall of the Roman Empire. The “Obamacare” law took half a trillion dollars of future Medicare benefits away from senior citizens in order to spend it on other things and other people. What senior citizens and their doctors believe is medically necessary is being ruled as “routine or non-covered service” by politicians and bureaucrats who use “doublespeak” to hurt America’s senior citizens. Expect more of this in the future.

A new poll out by Zogby today confirms the findings in a CBS poll a few days ago: the American people just aren’t drinking the liberal Koolaid that Sarah Palin and other conservatives are to blame for the slaughter in Arizona. All the polls consistently show that Americans don’t believe free speech or freedom to keep and bear arms led to this violent act of a deranged individual. The Left sacrificed their credibility…and got a goose egg in return for all their efforts.

The Left’s completely baseless accusations against Sarah Palin and other conservatives are not even in the same universe as truth and reality. Does the Left even realize how desperate and deranged they sound? They probably do, but they don’t care. Unfortunately for them, a fresh poll shows the American people just aren’t buying what they’re selling.

What was supposed to be the memorial service last night for the Tucson massacre began with a puzzling invocation, contained bizarre outbursts of applause and unusual statements, seemingly misplaces Scriptural references, and other odd happenings. There is a time and a place for politics and this was not it.

All budget-cutting proposals currently being discussed will do nothing to eliminate the $1.3 trillion annual budget deficit any time soon. These proposals essentially accept that mandatory spending remains at its current $2.1 trillion level, continuing to grow on an annual basis. Without making cuts in so-called mandatory programs, it is impossible to balance the budget. In fact, the entire non-defense discretionary budget of $553 billion could be eliminated, and the budget deficit would still be about $747 billion.

ABC News reports death threats against Sarah Palin have reached unprecedented levels. Some of this animosity from the “civil Left” seems to be connected to the statement she released yesterday, four days after the “mainstream” media and other Leftists began a baseless campaign to blame Jared Loughner’s slaughter of innocent people in Arizona on Sarah Palin and other conservatives. And unlike the accusations from the Left, there is proof of these hateful comments against Palin.

Truth and reality have been brutally murdered by the Left in the wake of the shooting in Arizona, but there is another casualty of the liberal smear campaign: recognition for the exceptional actions of many who responded to that horrific event. Many people stepped into the line of danger to stop the carnage and help others. It’s time we learned about their heroic actions and gave thanks for them.

This pattern is long, well-established and consistent, which is especially interesting in light of liberals’ condemnation of “heated rhetoric” from conservatives in the wake of the bloodshed in Arizona last weekend.

As the Leftist campaign of lies and assault on conservative speech continues, it is important that we continue to show proof of their lies and hypocrisy. Examples abound that the Left goes far beyond merely using militaristic terms (there’s nothing wrong with that) to actually advocating murder and death of their enemies.
