Al Sharpton to FCC: Take ‘Racist’ Rush Limbaugh Off the Air!
Al Sharpton really should get a job—I mean a real job. Does America honestly have a need for more race-baiting troublemakers to go around telling lies about people with whom they disagree politically? Having ideological differences is one thing; telling outright lies about your opponents is another. Lying is the number one tactic of the left, and Sharpton did not flinch on Monday evening when he appeared on Ed Schultz’ MSNBC show and vomited a whole stream of lies about Rush Limbaugh.
What Makes a Farmer…Entitled to Taxpayer Money
Congress has passed a $4.6 billion payout to black farmers and Native Americans who were allegedly victimized the federal government. But as black farmer Jimmy Dismuke says, it may not take much, according to the government’s definition, to be a “farmer,” e.g. having a potted plant or fertilizing your yard. Are the taxpayers of America getting bilked for billions once again?
Great Moments in Unintended Consequences
Reason.tv brings Great Moments in Unintended Consequences, a look at how government in its infinite wisdom says it intends to do something good and instead makes things much worse. Two examples: Ethanol – costs more to produce and does more harm than gasoline; ObamaCare – makes the country’s health care situation even worse than before
Federal Judge Impeached, More Should Be
The U.S. Senate has voted to impeach U.S. District Judge G. Thomas Porteous, making him the eighth federal judge in history to be impeached and convicted. With some judges violating the highest law of the land–the U.S. Constitution–by ignoring the Constitution and creating law from the bench, many more judges need to be impeached. It’s time the people held our government accountable.
DeMint Says He’ll Filibuster Obama Tax Deal
Yesterday on Hugh Hewitt’s show, Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC)–the man who should be Senate Minority Leader, the man who should someday be president–said he would filibuster the tax deal worked out between President Barack Obama and Republicans. No, he doesn’t want to demonize his fellow Americans and confiscate more of their property as Democrats do. No, he believes this deal isn’t good enough, that it compromises too far on some important principles.
Determining Who Doesn’t Really Need It
Newswoman Andrea Mitchell joins in the Democrat class envy game over the Bush tax cuts, attempting to determine which of her fellow Americans have too much money and which ones “don’t really need it.” She forgets that tax cuts don’t cost a cent, government does not own the wealth of America, don’t have to be “paid for,” and whether one of her fellow Americans has “too much” in her view is really none of her business.
Remembering the Day of Infamy
The Japanese sneak attack on Pearl Harbor 69 years ago today, and our country’s response to it, still has much to teach us. It can–if we will heed the lessons–teach us about the nature of evil, about the decisive response needed in the face of evil, the determination to resist evil, and the resolve to defeat evil.
Tax Cuts and Tax Rates: Class Envy Dissected
All the class envy filling the air over the impending end of the Bush tax cuts is pathetic, attempting to demonize and punish some Americans for being more successful. This video puts the current unfair Marxist progressive taxation system into a perspective that anyone can easily grasp (if they are interested in truth, that is). It also puts into crystal-clear perspective how incredibly greedy and petty the current tax cut/increase discussion is.
LPGA in Lockstep Caves to Radical Homosexual Agenda
Rational people know that a man could never become a woman! It’s impossible—no matter what is chopped off or sewn on a person’s body or how many hormones are pumped in, the DNA is unchanged; your gender will never change. Yet a man who calls himself a woman is suing the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) for not allowing him to compete in their tournaments. He claims that under California law, his “civil rights” are being violated by not being allowed to play with the women.
Kathy Griffin: Garbage Peddler
Gone are the days when only the most graceful, reputable people were used in bolstering product sales. The people who are featured on television are the people who represent our country. Do you want Kathy Griffin as the spokesperson representing, not only mediocre sandwiches, but America? Unfortunately, when foreigners see Kathy Griffin, they think of Americans. Wonderful.
Weather Refuses to Cooperate With AGW Enthusiasts
David Rose at the British Daily Mail points out some inconvenient truths about the anthropogenic global warming hoax. It’s a real bummer when you’re trying to convince 6 billion people that their efforts to live a better life are causing our planet to heat up dangerously…and the darned weather won’t cooperate at all with your propaganda.
Huckabee Has the Gall to Talk 2012?
The Politico reports Mike Huckabee is upset that he isn’t getting enough attention, and is rumbling more and more in the direction of a 2012 presidential run. Anyone with a shred of decency and capacity for self-evaluation who had Huckabee’s record would not waste our time on running for president…or anything of any importance. Conservatives don’t need the distraction of a “pro-life liberal” to deal with.
Congressional Prayer Caucus to Obama: Issue National Motto Correction
Congressman J. Randy Forbes (VA-04), along with 42 bipartisan Members of the Congressional Prayer Caucus, today sent a letter to President Barack Obama calling on him to issue a correction to a speech he gave in Jakarta, Indonesia, in which he inaccurately referred to our national motto as being “E Pluribus unum.” The official national motto is “In God We Trust.”
Is It Illegal to Celebrate Christmas in the Schools?
It has been more than 40 years since Charlie Brown, as he puzzled over the glitz and commercialism of the modern age, asked, “Doesn’t anyone know the true meaning of Christmas?” Linus responded by telling the story of Jesus Christ’s birth, as recounted in Luke 2:7-14, to his friends and classmates. What Charles Schulz’ beloved 1965 cartoon did not capture, however, was the growing aversion on the part of many school officials and public figures to anything remotely related to the true Christmas story.
Freshman Rep.-Elect Allen West on Economy, Tax Cuts, DADT
Newsmax recently interviewed retired Army Lt. Col. Allen West who was recently elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from Florida. West is one of the Tea Party-backed congressmen elected this year. Newsmax interviewer Kathleen Walter talked with West about the economy, the Bush tax cuts, unemployment, the welfare state, and homosexuals serving openly in the U.S. military.
Kyl Corrects ‘Mainstream’ Media on Taxes
It can be difficult dealing with the “mainstream” media. Getting truth and accuracy out of this bunch of Leftist jackel propaganda artists can be challenging, but Senator Jon Kyl (R-AZ) provides a good lesson for his fellow senators and for us all. He doesn’t allow CBS’s Bob Schieffer to get away with the tax hikes Democrats have planned to be called anything other than what they are.
The Two Portly Gentlemen Are Entrepreneurial Philanthropists
The sense of mission many small business owners have about their companies extends to combining corporate and charitable intent. Most entrepreneurs surveyed have a quiet or passive giving style. Although their involvement may be known, they prefer not to be overtly recognized. Most have made charitable giving an essential part of their personal financial planning. They are as intentional about the causes they champion as they are about their companies.
There are ways to dissolve state’s deficit, but most of them are doozies
Our soon-to-be governor and the members of the Legislature are scooting to find new revenue sources to erase the next fiscal year’s budget. Unfortunately, there are very limited ways a government has to find new revenue that doesn’t include raising existing taxes and fees or creating new ones. And didn’t we hear from the candidates a few weeks ago there would be no increase in taxes? The search is on.

Spencer’s Gifts Submits to City Ordinance
The headline in yesterday’s Rapid City Journal says it all: Spencer’s ends sales of adult items. This unexpected action by the giant corporation — Spencer’s Gifts LLC — is a testimony to the positional strength of Rapid City’s Adult Orientated Business Ordinance (AOB). In 2003 the Rapid City voters overwhelmingly approved restrictions on AOB’s. This was done in order to protect our community’s children from the destructive nature of pornography. Our community standards were set in place and our city officials have been diligent in the enforcement of them.
Helping Tribal Women and Children
Gwen Caldwell, founder of Voice of Women, works throughout South Dakota to help keep Native American families together. The law allows financial incentives for states to terminate parental rights and adopt children out. There are no incentives for these families to be reunited. If you believe in this issue and would like to help, visit her website and see what you can do.

Senate Support for Defunding Public Broadcasting
This year alone, American taxpayers spent $420 million to fund the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). Due to the downswing of the economy, CPB has requested $604 million for Fiscal Year 2013. With hundreds of television channels available on cable and satellite, as well as hundreds of radio stations on AM/FM/satellite radio, the time has come to sweep out taxpayer funding for public broadcasting with the broom of fiscal responsibility and constitutional government.
