In the United States, we were told to ignore the U.S. Constitution, that the financial industry was “too big to fail,” that we had to stick it to the taxpayers to save businesses that got into trouble due partly to government interference and partly because of their own sloppiness. When business in Iceland had similar trouble, they didn’t fall for it, and are now in much better shape.
