In the third day of Glenn Beck’s expose on Leftist billionaire George Soros and his meddling with the United States, the show began with a video clip of an audience question at a presentation at Soros’ Open Society Institute a few years ago. The discussion was over how to provide an avenue for greater foreign influence in American policy. A new branch of government, providing official recognition of foreign representation, was actually proposed. The proliferation of American principles in the world is a “flaw” to the likes of Soros.

The presidential commission on reducing the deficit has already proven what a useless exercise of Leftist impotence it will be. While federal employees make 30-40% more than their private sector counterparts (you know, the folks that make the engine of America’s economy run), this presidential commission wants to put a three-year freeze on military pay.

George Soros, the radical, far-left billionaire, with a long history of antipathy toward American interests, now sits on a United Nations (UN) panel charged with organizing a $100 billion wealth transfer from the developed world to the underdeveloped world in the name of environmentalism. News of his involvement here is buried away in a New York Times report but it should be the lead sentence.

Glenn Beck continued his expose on George Soros yesterday, examining Soros’ five-step plan to subvert a country, which includes pumping millions of dollars into a country’s political climate through “humanitarian aid” groups, distorting the media, and undermining free government. You might be surprised, but steps 1-4 are already well under way in America.

To say that Veterans, current servicemen and women are taken for granted would be a understatement of insurmountable proportion. They leave their parents, siblings, friends, homes, and country soil to live in often, harsh, foreign conditions. Ultimately, our freedom is blessed by Almighty God. But, people have lost sight of where our rights begin and end. They begin with God and end with Him, as well.

Domestic terrorist Bernardine Dohrn, wife of domestic terrorist Bill Ayers (friend of Barack Obama) recently claimed to be worried about the Tea Party movement as “racist, armed, hostile, unspeakable.” Unhinged is perhaps an understated description of this woman.

I have read theories about the Chinese or North Koreans firing a shot across the bow just to let us know that our major cities are within range and vulnerable. Or, it was just some bungling ballistic missile crew aboard a naval vessel that got bored and lit off a missile just for kicks. Come on, this is silly. Let’s have the names of the airliner crew and the flight number and we can get on with more important things and quit our paranoia.

Bill Bennett has hit one one of the most interesting truths about the Tea Party movement. It is one that, I believe, has even occurred to Leftists since they have tried to deceive America about this truth by distorting it.

Yesterday (and the rest of the week) Glenn Beck began taking a look at billionaire Leftist George Soros. Soros is the man with the millions behind several of the anti-American liberal organizations who have been attacking the American way of life for several years. Soros is free to use his money any (legal) way he wishes. But he is not free to deceive the American people, or to collude with our government to subvert our freedom.

This actually came out yesterday but I didn’t get to it then, so we’ll still call it the Quote of the Day. It comes from President George W. Bush and his new book and recounts when he was asked by the CIA Director George Tenet about using waterboarding on terrorists to get life-saving information from them to prevent future attacks.

Historian David Barton talks about the fact that the United States is a republic, not a democracy, and why that it is important. What is the difference between a democracy and a republic, and why is it important? It has to do with the source of authority, and the implications that source has for a legacy of freedom. One type of government has great stability, and the lessons of history teach that the other is doomed from the beginning.

Stuart Varney interviewed South Dakota’s Congresswoman-elect Kristi Noem on Neil Cavuto. He asked her about a statement made recently by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg that looked snobbishly at Tea Party people and other conservatives. He also asked about a leadership post for the freshmen, and who she might support for Speaker of the House.

Reports indicate both Sen. McConnell and Rep. Boehner are still fighting conservatives in their own party. Maybe they still don’t get it, but we didn’t send more Republicans to congress last week so they could more effectively rearrange their deck chairs for a better, more pleasant view as the Titanic goes down. We sent them to roll up their sleeves, get their hands dirty, and save our republic. If they refuse to do that, if they refuse to lead, then let’s get these slackers out of the way of those who can and will.

Airport security has become more and more intrusive and oppressive in the past 10 years. This is somewhat understandable in the wake of the 911 terrorist attacks that left nearly 3,000 Americans dead, and continued attempts to murder traveling passengers by the “shoe bomber” and “panty bomber.” Yet there comes a point (and perhaps has come a point) when being an air traveler is more like being a prisoner processed for prison. I fear we have reached that point.

This is another of those Hitler movie edit jobs. This one shows Hitler and his men watching results coming in from Election Day last week as Tea Party candidates washed away his glorious socialist revolution. Watch him as he goes on a tirade, lamenting the demise of their dreams of cap and trade, of complete socialism, of having it all.

Leftists, secularists, historical revisionists and those who are just plain ignorant often claim that America has no Christian heritage, and that calls for Christian influence on public policy are tantamount to an attempt to institute theocracy. It is literally accurate that nothing could be further from the truth, and the evidence which proves this is abundant.

These are strange times, indeed. I don’t mean just the election or the political scenarios, though that is a huge indicator. No, I mean the way of the world. This shift in all things: morality, respectability, honor, endeavors, and motives. It’s like the world is spinning in the opposite direction. Like the sun is rising in the west and setting in the east. And what is so disturbing is that few notice it! Does anyone else notice the earth careening, seemingly out of control?

Peter Robinson of the Hoover Institution recently interviewed Member of the European Parliament (MEP) Daniel Hannan. Hannan is a British conservative who has ripped his own government’s Leftist policies and in the past two years has revealed himself to be a great friend of the United States. He better understands and appreciates what makes America unique and exceptional better than many Americans. He also understands the perils of trying to make the United States like less free nations.

Seventy percent of Oklahoma voters approved an initiative to amend their state constitution to exclude international and Islamic Shariah law, and immediately on the heels of the vote, the Oklahoma chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) announced it will file suit to challenge the will of the voters in Oklahoma. Well, isn’t this just typical of the Islamists?!

Within two years of President Barack Hussein Obama’s media-abetted rise of power, we’ve come very close to seeing our great nation transformed by him and his progressive cohorts and hand-picked Czars into an authoritarian socialist regime.As election day drew near, where was the president’s apology to the American people for such blatant promotion of unsustainable socialism?

The Washington Post blog, The Plumb Line, reports today that a new leadership post for House freshmen is being created, and South Dakota’s new congresswoman Kristi Noem has expressed a strong interest. If selected and she accepted, Noem would be the representative of the incoming freshman class of representatives.

Terrible things can happen when you give a Democrat a cookie. Never, ever, ever give a Democrat a cookie. It’s a slippery slope that can be not only maddening, but a threat to your freedom. Look at what can happen.

The recent election results reveal the very limited and temporal nature of politics. It was, after all, only two years ago that the nation went in the opposite direction. The Bush administration was a reaction to the Clinton administration. In 2006, Americans hired the Democrats in response to Republican policies. Before that, Republicans were given the Congress in 1994 in reply to the Democratic Party’s agenda. Our culture has remained unabated in its downward trajectory, despite the continuously shifting balance of political power. This should raise serious questions regarding the role of politics in actually shaping our cultural and moral values.

The outrageous invasion of our privacy rights that is the whole-body scanner (and its equally outrageous counterpart, the full-body pat down) was hurriedly put in place by the government, before Americans could really comprehend what it would mean and whether they were willing to tolerate it. Yet where did the impetus for installing these scanners in our nation’s airports come from? And who’s responsible for this unfolding nightmare being unleashed on the American people?

If the U.S. House passed a bill 435-0 and the U.S. Senate passed that bill 100-0 and the president signed that bill into law, but that law said the First Amendment was overturned, that law would be illegitimate. It wouldn’t matter that it was passed unanimously and signed by the president. Thankfully, America could count on Tea Party patriots to rise up and ensure that “law” did not take effect. Why would normally law-abiding patriotic Americans vociferously reject such a “law?” Because such a “law” would violate a higher law.
