After the completion of a dubious and flawed survey, Secretary of Defense Robert Gates says there is a “low risk” to the U.S. military if homosexuals are allowed to serve openly in the military. A closer examination of the DOD survey reveals a questionnaire that avoids the most important question, leads the respondent to “the right answer,” a methodology of questionable veracity, and questions that are flawed and subjective. Even taken at face value, the survey raises some extremely hard questions for America to answer–the results of which can bring life or death consequences.

Those of us who don’t take the word of the “mainstream” media as gospel have known for a long, long time that the hypothesis of anthropogenic global warming is little more than an anti-science hoax being pushed by socialists to emasculate the West in general and the United States in particular. But now, as the latest global warming confab takes place on the warm beaches of Cancun, Ottmar Edenhofer, the co-chair of the IPCC working group on mitigation of imaginary climate change, admits what we already knew: that global warming hysteria is just a socialist scheme to redistribute wealth.

News broke last week that the head of the mosque project, Feisal Rauf, and his buddies had applied for—get this—a taxpayer money grant of around 5 million dollars to help fund the proposed Ground Zero “victory” mosque. Oh, you didn’t hear about that on the evening news? Yes, indeedy, these cats are boldly moving forward with their plans for yet another monument of Islamic conquest just two blocks from the site of Ground Zero, and now they’re further rubbing the face of America in their filthy jihad against the West by demanding that we help fund it!

Just as it is in the nature of the scorpion to sting anything within his reach, is it in the nature of Democrats to always seek to shaft the U.S. military at any and all opportunities? Democrat Majority Leader Steny Hoyer wants to freeze the pay of military personnel to cut the budget…after Democrats have spent trillions on unconstitutional bailouts, stimulus packages and socialist health care plans.

The anti-American website WikiLeaks has once again dumped a lot of documents onto the internet designed to hurt America’s power and prestige internationally. If we looked, I’m sure we’ll find people in our own government who made all of these leaks possible. In fact, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if high level people within the Obama Administration were involved. given the discomfort Obama and other Leftists feel at American power and security on the world stage.

The “mainstream” media once again demonized Sarah Palin for a slip of the tongue, referring to “our North Korean allies.” Of course we all know that the “mainstream” “objective” “unbiased” media has ignored many more of Barack Obama’s tongue-slips. In the true spirit of a good conservative, Palin has responded with a Thanksgiving Message to the 57 States of Obama.

The so-called “progressives,” led by the Alabama-based Southern Poverty Law Center SPLC, have gifted the American mainstream with yet another teachable moment. The SPLC is a small, hard-left political activist outfit known for promoting a panoply of radical liberal causes. The SPLC has branded the Washington, D.C., based Family Research Council (FRC) and the Mississippi-based American Family Association (AFA) “hate groups.” Their crime? Standing for marriage and family against Leftist activists.

The retail industry has tagged today “Cyber Monday.” Like the term “Black Friday,” which describes the Friday after Thanksgiving, Cyber Monday refers to the Monday three days later. Just as Black Friday is considered the biggest traditional shopping day, Cyber Monday is supposed to see a significant spike in online sales. The National Retail Federation’s Shop.org division made up the idea of Cyber Monday to generate media coverage for their online retailers. The scheme worked.

Members of the U.S. House were given a briefing and a demonstration on the new TSA pat-down procedures, ostensibly to assure them that the serfs out in the hinterlands beyond the Beltway were upset over nothing. North Korea has been increasingly belligerent of late with their nuclear program and the sinking of a South Korean ship several months ago. Now North Korea has bombed a South Korean island with about 200 shells, with at least two people killed and about a dozen injured, with many homes destroyed. The White House and South Korea have condemned the attack, but will the North stop, given the mixed signals sent by the Obama Administration?

The Leftists in congress are trying to do as much damage as possible to our country during the lame duck session before Republicans take control of the House in January. One of their dark designs is the pro-illegal alien DREAM Act which seeks to give amnesty and special benefits to children of illegal aliens, and provide an incentive and avenue for even more illegal aliens to invade our country.

According to Rasmussen Reports, a plurality of the American people now understand what the Tea Party patriots knew all along: our government is operating largely outside of its constitutional authority. Only 39% of Americans are deluded into thinking the federal government currently operates within constitutional limits, which is exactly the same low number who still approve of the job President Barack Obama is doing.

Some 234 years ago, the founders of the United States declared that certain truths were self evident. Today, 234 years later, with many in the government of the United States now openly hostile to many of these truths, and with many in the electorate eager to reward this hostility, we should ask ourselves: do we still hold these truths to be self evident?

The Tea Party movement was also a major source of information for independent voters, church goers, NRA members and small business owners.
