Pence and Mourdock at Indianapolis Tea Party
Mr. Pence called on us to get involved, get engaged and spread the word. We are, he said, “at a fork in the road” and the path we choose will be the path that our children and grandchildren will be forced to walk all their lives. We have a duty to do what we can to secure for posterity that which most of us have so long taken for granted.
Gen. Conway: Homosexuals in Military Degrade Morale, Unit Cohesion
Marine Corps Commandant General James Conway recently gave an exclusive interview to Fox News in which he again stated allowing homosexuals to serve openly in the military would cause problems for our armed forces. “When we take a survey of our Marines, by and large, they say that they are concerned that it will cause potential problems with regard to their order and discipline — that it will impact their sense of unit cohesion,” Conway said.
Elder Abuse: America’s Dirty Secret
According to a new study released this month by the American Association for Justice (AAJ), eldercare abuse in America has escalated from a shameful problem to a full-blown humanitarian crisis. Next to the battle to secure the rights of the unborn, protecting the rights of the elderly in America may well turn out to be the most important civil rights movement of the 21st century.
Inspiration of Chile goes beyond the miners
The miraculous story of the rescue of 33 Chilean miners would have captured hearts and minds anytime. But there is another story that screams for attention. It is a story of a nation that cast off inefficient socialist programs in favor of the free market, and has seen dramatic economic growth due to its level of economic freedom. At a time when Americans struggle for our own soul, we can look to Chile as a source of inspiration for the very ideals of freedom which drove what we recall as the American dream.
Herseth Sandlin Whines About Noem Gun Rights Mailer
Leftists in the blogosphere have been whining for several days about Kristi Noem’s gun rights mailer which contrasts the record of Noem and Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin (D-SD) on Second Amendment gun rights. The mailer shows that while Herseth Sandlin hasn’t been as bad as many Democrats on gun rights, the clearly reliable defender of Second Amendment rights is Kristi Noem. Now the RC Journal reports Herseth Sandlin calls the exposure of her record “a low blow.”
Surprising Altruism
A few days ago, 33 Chilean miners were rescued after showing tremendous altruism. A news man from the scene choked up while reporting it. You know who else should be surprised: Darwinians. They believe the race has evolved through survival of the fittest. Neo-Darwinism cannot explain altruism like that displayed by the miners.
Rep. Herseth Sandlin: Where is Your Signature?
DefundIt.org lists 181 candidates who have pledged to defund the unconstitutional ObamaCare program. Like many Democrats, Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin has campaigned on her “No” vote, hoping people will think she is a “reasonable” Democrat (almost an oxymoron). Yet she refuses to say she will work to repeal or defund it. Perhaps it’s time to defund Rep. Herseth Sandlin on Nov. 2.
Historian: IRS Knows It Will Lose Against Pastors
Historian David Barton says the lack of response by the IRS to pastors across America speaking out politically from the pulpit indicates the tax agency knows it doesn’t have a legal leg to stand on in muzzling America’s pastors. History clearly shows that churches have held tax exempt status while being politically active since colonial days. In fact, were it not for the leadership of numerous pastors and church leaders, the American Revolution may not have happened.
Valerie Jarrett Slips Up, Admits Homosexuality is a ‘Lifestyle Choice’
Every now and then, liberals mess up and allow a bit of the politically incorrect truth to slip out. White House senior adviser Valerie Jarrett is now in trouble with the PC Police for slipping up and admitting that homosexual behavior is a “lifestyle choice.” Activists don’t want people to realize homosexual behavior can be chosen or rejected; this would reveal an ability to change…where there is no desire to change.
Report: Michelle Obama Electioneering at Illinois Polling Location
Drudge Report says First Lady Michelle Obama has engaged in electioneering at an Illinois voting location. The article says she was telling another voter how important it was to vote to keep her husband’s agenda going. This violates election law which prohibits political discussion and soliciting votes at polling locations.
Govt Bureaucrats: Tyranny of the Toilets
The city council in New York now wants to tell people what kind of toilet they must have. What it comes down to is that under the American way of life–which is one of limited government–it’s my choice what I buy. If I want to buy such products, that’s my business and my choice. I neither need nor want some bureaucrat elitist making decisions for me and telling me what I must do in my daily life.
Radical Leftist Judge Attempts to Force Homosexuality on US Military
The dictatorial federal judges must be stopped. It seems that almost daily another lousy federal judge overturns the will of the majority of Americans, and this latest outrage is worse, because one demented woman judge has broken with long-standing judicial tradition and crossed the military’s own judgment. Activists and their “useful idiots” are not happy unless homosexuals can “proudly” flaunt their sexual preference in our armed forces.
Poll: Privatization of Social Security, Medicare Should be Considered
One of the favorite fear-mongering cards liberals like to play is the one designed to scare the heck out of old people: Republicans want to take away your Social Security. But a new poll by Bloomberg finds most likely voters say we should consider privatizing Medicare, and nearly half say we should consider privatizing Social Security.
Woman Killed by Drug User as SD Considers Marijuana Bill
A report from the Rapid City Journal today says Christina Clemens hit pedestrian Tammy Sanner, of Parker, South Dakota with her car and killed her. This report reminds me that South Dakota will soon be voting on the possible legalization of “medical” marijuana, and California will soon vote on legalizing marijuana use even without the “medical use” facade.
Kristi Noem on Gun Rights
Kristi Noem has a solid rating with multiple gun rights organizations, and won’t support politicians who have demonstrated hostility toward the Second Amendment. She’s a long-time regular hunter, and she sponsored the Firearms Freedom Act earlier this year which told the federal government to keep its grubby paws off firearms and ammunition manufactured and sold in South Dakota.
Dusty Johnson Meet and Greet
There will be a meet-and-greet supporting South Dakota Public Utilities Commissioner Dusty Johnson Thursday, October 21, 20105 pm to 7 pm at the Home of Mike and Mary Trykoski. Dusty Johnson is running for re-election to the state PUC. In his six years on the Commission he has become a recognized regional and national leader on energy and telecommunications issues, and is a rising star in South Dakota politics.
Kristi Noem Featured on PJTV
PJTV now has a feature on the rising star of the GOP, Kristi Noem. It’s entitled “A Star Is Born, and Her Name Is Noem.” This is just another sign of what a splash this South Dakota lady is making across the United States. Yesterday she made the Drudge Report for having raised more than any other Republican congressional challenger, and this morning “Kristi Noem” was the #2 most searched-for phrase on the internet.
Constitutional Contempt from Our Leaders
This is a compilation of twelve instances of contempt for the United States Constitution from our socialist leaders in Washington D.C. Keep these in mind when you vote this election season. In contrast to the funders who crafted our nation and constitution, these so-called “leaders” resemble a bunch of spoiled 9th Graders too consumed by their own petty agenda to be concerned about what is important and right.
Google Finds Kristi Noem ‘Spicy’
Earlier this morning at Google Trends, South Dakota’s own Kristi Noem was #2 on their list of hot searches. Even as more South Dakotans find out about Stephanie Herseth Sandlin’s liberal voting record and the DCCC pulls funding from Herseth Sandlin’s campaign, people are captivated by Kristi Noem, the ranch woman who has raised more money than any other Republican congressional challenger this year.
Report: Herseth Received $864,000 in Abortion Money
Common Sense Issues South Dakota is joining the effort to expose Democrat Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin’s liberal record. The radio ad and transcript is available at $864,000, which is how much money Herseth Sandlin has received from the abortion industry. Nearly a million dollars of blood money pouring into Herseth Sandlin’s campaign.
Herseth Sandlin’s Empty Words, Liberal Votes
The National Republican Congressional Committee has a new ad out exposing Democrat Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin’s stealth liberal voting record in Washington D.C. When word got out about Tom Daschle, his D.C. lifestyle and his D.C. voting record, South Dakotans put him out to pasture in 2004. As South Dakotans learn about Stephanie Herseth Sandlin’s record, they’ll be putting her out to pasture in a few weeks.
