What did I say over a year ago, before the unconstitutional government health care bill was passed in the United States? I said we needed to preserve our (pseudo) free market health care system, if not for ourselves, at least so that the Canadians have somewhere to go. Shona Holmes from Ontario, Canada is proof of this need.

Leftists like to claim they don’t know what the Tea Party movement is about, that the Tea Party movement doesn’t offer any solutions to our nation’s problems. Well, it’s rather hard to learn these things when your eyes and ears (and mind) is closed, but on the off-chance that we might catch a Leftist or two with a hand off their ear while scratching their nose, let’s give it a shot one more time.

Will wonders never cease!? The Rapid City Journal has endorsed Republican Kristi Noem in South Dakota’s U.S. House race. Of course, what RC Journal article would be complete without a swipe at the patriotic Americans who insist (gasp) that our elected leaders obey the Constitution they are sworn to support and defend?

Although pain management is an important function of modern medicine, the legalization of marijuana is more about regulating illegal drug use than it is about medicine. California’s experience has been that the recreational use of “medical” marijuana there is so rampant that it has become a common gag line in popular media.

It’s time for men of the cloth – as they did during the first American Revolution – to exercise true leadership, return to the pulpit and call for national revival, both spiritual and political. As George Washington so astutely observed, the notion that political issues, and those of “religion and morality,” are somehow mutually exclusive, is patently absurd. They are one in the same.

Amidst all the Left’s mudslinging, rationalizing, and scapegoating, there hasn’t been much room for any substantive discourse across party and ideological lines; the Democrats simply refuse to engage on this level. The more America’s cohort of self-identified “Tea Party Patriots” continues to grow, the deeper the Left buries its collective head in the sand. One is reminded of Scarlett O’Hara’s famous method of dealing with the unpleasantness of reality: “I’ll think about it tomorrow!” With one week to go before the election, however, the time for Democrats to change course has all but run out.

Rob Reiner, appearing on Bill Maher’s show the other day, likened the Tea Party movement to the emergence of Nazis and Hitler in Germany in the 1930’s. They’re “angry and frightened,” selling “stupidity and ignorance,” said Reiner, as Maher nodded in agreement. No, Meathead; it’s about freedom.

This is a humorous take on all the highbrown blather about negative camapaignging, dirty campaigning, etc. Using some of the language used in the nasty presidential campaign between Thomas Jefferson and John Adams, we get a look at what one of their political ads might have looked like if they had the venue of television.

It really is vulgar and rude of the Obamas’ to spend our money on such a trivial trip, but we should be getting used to it by now. We have never seen a president and first lady, along with family and friends, party with taxpayers’ money like these two. This is a president of “no you can’t” when it comes to rights of citizens, but “yes I can” when it comes to helping himself to the power and wealth that rightly belongs to us, WE THE PEOPLE… VOTE.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the stories of the next few days will be of voter fraud cases, Tea Party candidates, Democrats lashing out at each other and the ‘lame duck’ session, followed by the 2012 presidential candidate announcements.

Hear ye! Hear ye! The outcry for freedom is goin’ global! Recently, it was announced that Israel, inspired by the American conservative Tea Party Movement, has decided to join the fight against the dominating Obama administration policies. In particular, the administration’s continued “strong objection” to apartment construction, so called, “settlements.”

In recognition of this important element of our state’s history, Governor Mike Rounds has designated November 1-5, 2010 as South Dakota Christian Heritage Week. To help us celebrate, Dr. Catherine Millard will be making several stops in the Black Hills area. She will speak on the systematic rewriting of American history and the overlooked Christian heritage of South Dakota and events leading to statehood.

Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin’s (D-SD) and her Republican competitor Kristi Noem have very different records when it comes to abortion and respect for innocent human life. If saving innocent human life is important to you and you’d like to help spread the word about Rep. Herseth Sandlin’s (D-SD) record against life, you can help the Rapid City Right to Life organization distribute hundreds of these this weekend.

Our own Gina Miller was interviewed recently on the Michael Savage Show! Miller recently wrote a spectacular review of Savage’s new book TrickleUp Poverty. Subsequently, Savage read the review and had her on the show for an interview (this is not Gina’s first appearance on the Savage Nation).

Some liberals at least make an effort to ground their arguments in reality, but too often, liberal arguments against common sense consist of pronouncements that the messenger is a racistsexistbigothomophobe and thus is unreliable. Liberalism is indeed a mental disorder, and when left untreated, the results can be devastating.

Thomas Sowell has some great insight today in his National Review column about the myth of separation of church and state (as liberals define it), explaining exactly what the founders meant when they wrote about “an establishment of religion” in the U.S. Constitution. It has nothing to do with the campaign of sanitation of Christianity from the public square being carried out by the Left.

Eighteen Republican legislators today announced their support for Jason Gant’s proposal to enhance penalties for vote bribery. Earlier this week, State Senator Jason Gant, the Republican candidate for Secretary of State, proposed increased penalties in response to ‘food-for-votes’ rallies being promoted by Stephanie Herseth Sandlin and the Democratic Party.

As we get ready for perhaps the most important mid-term election in our lifetime, let us just remember what is at stake and to revisit, “An Open Letter to the Evil Tyrants in Washington.” The victory enjoyed by the socialists since 2008 has been temporal and short-lived. Remember, the Japanese thought they had scored a great victory at Pearl Harbor. On November 2, 2010, the socialists in Washington D.C. will meet the no-longer-sleeping giant.

South Dakota Republican Party Chairman Bob Gray called on Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin (D-SD) today to explain her $1300 taxpayer-funded purchase at the Baby Elements store in Sioux Falls last year.

It’s not clear how Joy Behar escaped her nanny, but she was in another all out tantrum that would put my kids to shame. Sans her liberal cohort, Whoopi “walk out” Goldberg, she ranted and raved with the usual, “Rascist!” outcry in terrible-two response to Sharron Angle’s ad regarding immigration and Harry Reid. Once again, The View openly declares its “open mouth, insert foot” policy.
