Now another such memo has surfaced, intended to force local law enforcement authorities to ignore the law.

As South Dakota Democratic candidates have called for the acceptance of $47.2 million in federal aid and the Republican administration of Governor Mike Rounds has decided to take the money, the South Dakota Tea Party Alliance (SDTPA) questions the wisdom of taking part in yet another multi-billion dollar federal spending package.

It’s disappointing to see that conservative writer and speaker, Ann Coulter, has decided to accept a speaking gig next month for a so-called “conservative” homosexual group called GOProud at their New York conference, Homocon. Ms. Coulter had been scheduled in the lineup of speakers for WND’s Taking America Back Convention in Miami on September 16th through 18th. But when it was revealed that she had agreed to headline the homosexual conference on September 25th, Joseph Farah of WND had a “gut-wrenching” choice to make: take her or leave her for the WND convention. He left her.

A study by Thompson Reuters looked at 255 hospitals and found that church-run hospitals were significantly more likely to provide higher quality performance and efficiency to the communities served than other systems. They even out-performed other not-for-profit hospital systems. Where would a government health care system rank?

The bottom line is that Social Security is fiscally unsustainable. Even a pro-Social Security website laughably titled “ThereIsNoCrisis.com“, which was created a few years ago, could only make the statement, “economists agree it [Social Security] will remain solvent for decades” (emphasis mine). Indeed, a few “decades” is—at very, very best–all that the program has left.

The field for South Dakota Legislative District 32 is getting pretty crowded. We already had Republicans Brian Gosch and Kristen Conzet, as well as Independent Jeanette Deurloo. Now Independent candidate Mathew Murray has announced he is running for one of the two available Dist. 32 House seats.

Why is it that liberals vote the way they do, only to run like scalded dogs from their voting record? Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin (D-SD) claims to represent the values of conservative South Dakota, all the while she’s voting with San Francisco liberal Speaker Nancy Pelosi 85-95% of the time. Somebody’s leg is getting pulled here.

It seems this idea of building a mosque near the location where nearly two dozen Islamic terrorists killed nearly 3,000 Americans is so bad, even some moderate Muslims are coming out of hiding to denounce it. Raheel Raza did so recently, and now this from Abdul Rahman Al-Rashid writing in Al-Sharq Al-Awsat condemns it as a symbol of those who killed nearly 3,000 Americans on 911.

This is a perfect example of the upside-down, screwed-on-backwards thinking of liberals: champion evil while calling the defenders of good “evil.” Norah O’Donnell on MSNBC compared the 68% of Americans opposed to the Ground Zero mosque to the bloodthirsty barbarians who destroyed the World Trade Center and killed thousands of people.

We all remember the Obama promise. The promise that, “if you like your health plan you can keep it,” promising that nothing in the health reform law would force businesses or consumers to change health plans or change their doctor. But the U.S. Department of Labor reports that 69 percent of all health plans will be forced to change within 3 years.

President Barack Obama really stepped in it when he recently told a bunch of Muslims at an Islamic celebration at the White House that he supported the building of a mosque at Ground Zero in New York City. Sooner or later, liberals always mess up and say what they really mean in public. They get comfortable around other liberals and other people of evil design and forget that there are cameras rolling or reporters who might accidentally not cover their ’6, and these unguarded moments suddenly reveal that they do NOT have the best interest of America at heart.

If we call a tail a leg, how many legs does a dog have? According to Abraham Lincoln, he still only has four legs: calling a tail a leg does not make it so. So why do we kid ourselves that allowing two men or two women to call their sexual activity “marriage” can actually form a marriage? Words mean things, and when we pretend they do not, we alienate ourselves from reality.

The South Dakota Secretary of State’s office has released the 2010 Ballot Questions Pamphlet as required by law. The publication contains “pro” and “con” writeups from supporters and opponents of four measures: relating to vote by secret ballot, proceeds of the state cement plant, the smoking ban, and legalization of “medical” marijuana.

Why liberals have been so hard at work to revise history? They emphasize selected parts (especially those mistakes we have made), minimize our achievements, and ignore other parts. But why? Because it’s easier to scam people into giving up something (their heritage of freedom) they never really believe they had in the first place.

The anti-Christian sentiment is getting pretty out of hand, don’t you think? We the American people have recently been told that we cannot pray on the steps of the United States Supreme Court. We have also been told that we cannot sing the national anthem at the Lincoln Memorial. Now Glenn Beck is told that he can’t pray at an event to be held at the Kennedy Center. What happened to the land of the free and the home of the brave?
