Is it wise for President Obama – in the midst of a severe recession – to advocate for a policy that will, in effect, penalize economic success for the segment of American society most responsible for creating jobs – that is, America’s small business owners? The only way that such an approach makes sense is if you believe that government is a wiser steward of the American people’s money than the American people themselves – it only makes sense to those who prefer ideology over reality.

We’ve long known the liberals in our government are dedicated to ignoring our laws and allowing the illegal alien problem to continue unabated. Now we learn of a draft memo written to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Director Alejandro Mayorkas by several agency staffers which looks at ways the Obama Administration might do an end-run around congressional authority and implement their own version of amnesty for illegals.

Americans need to realize the damage that racial manipulation has done to our country. The blessings of freedom must be kept in this land forever. Unfortunately, our country is going down the path of repressive tyranny — thanks largely to the modern Democratic Party, which is obsessed with making racial unrest a central theme of its agenda.

This statement was prepared by the Citizens for Liberty board members who voted in the majority to dismiss Barb Lindberg as president of CFL on July 19, 2010. The board attempted to avoid negative publicity for Citizens for Liberty and the Tea Party movement and prevent a media circus. Sadly, Mrs. Lindberg thwarted that effort multiple times in the past week and a half, and the time has come for the facts of her dismissal–and inaccurate statements she has made since–to be shared with the public.

By now you may have read in the Rapid City Journal that Barb Lindberg, the former president of Rapid City Tea Party group Citizens for Liberty, has pulled a coup, taking control of the group behind the back of the board. Lindberg was dismissed as president and board member in a 4-0 vote of the board on July 19 due to her heavy-handed, “my-way-or-the-highway” dealings.

Oh! There’s that awful smell again! I believe it’s coming from the judiciary! For decades, leftists have been worming their way into the legal system and slithering onto court benches. And now they have infested the system to the point where we are now seeing an almost daily assault on our liberties, traditions, borders—pretty much our entire American way of life—coming from outrageous court rulings, and it stinks to high heaven!

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has a new report out entitled Federal Debt and the Risk of a Fiscal Crisis. In the past year and a half, the federal government has spent trillions of dollars of money on things the Constitution doesn’t authorize with money we don’t have. Sooner or later, these trillions of dollars our government is spending that we do not have begin to add up.

Joe Sestak (D-PA) threw away his long-standing pro-life reputation on a piece of tissue paper also known as President Obama’s guarantee not to allow abortion in the unconstitutional health care bill passed a few months ago. Now a new report from the Congressional Research Service confirms what we already knew.

With Senator John Thune (R-SD) visiting places like Iowa, speculation is afoot that he is thinking of a 2012 run for president. Greta Van Susteren interviews Thune about his plan to reduce the budget deficit by 10% every year, and asks him about his plans for 2012. So what does he have to say?

Today Clinton-appointed federal Judge Susan Bolton granted an injunction on key provisions of Arizona’s illegal immigration law. As Arizona Governor Jan Brewer put it, “Today the federal government got relief from the courts to not to do their jobs.”

He’s decided to bail on this nutty theory that doesn’t even pass the smell-test of credibility, and not only that, he’s exposing it for the barrel of fraud that it has always been.

If you’ve been relying on the “mainstream” media to stay informed, you probably don’t know much about the Shirley Sherrod controversy beyond the media’s proclamation that Andrew Breitbart tried to deceive people. You probably wouldn’t know about the other things Sherrod said in that clip, or about the $13 million she and her husband received in an agricultural discrimination lawsuit, or about her husband’s take on white men and Uncle Toms.

It seems Senator John F. Kerry (D-MA) isn’t too keen on answering questions about taxes on his new $7 million yacht. He snapped when impudent reporters asked him if he was trying to dodge taxes on his yacht by keeping it docked in a state where taxes would not apply. These reporters apparently fail to realize that John Kerry is above the requirements of the little people.

When taxes become destructive they surpass the consent of the governed, bending to the will of tyranny.
