When: June 19th, 9-10:30 AM followed by 1 hour question and answer time
Where: Sioux Falls, Washington Pavilion, 3rd floor classrooms
Who: Mary E. Webster
Author of The Federalist Papers: In Modern English
The United States Constitution: Annotated with the Federalist Papers
Background: Mary has been called “the spiritual descendent of the Founding Fathers.” She provides a unique view of the Constitution because the Federalist Papers are the only opinions of the Constitution that she has read or studied. She considers the author’s insights into human nature timeless and fascinating. She was so riveted after finishing the interpretation, study and rewriting of Paper Number 1, she couldn’t wait to start studying Paper Number 2. Five years later she completed the task and finished the Modern English version. The author is hopeful that with this new accessibility, others will find them as fascinating as she does.
Workshop Highlights: Different parts of the Constitution will be looked at and how it affects our lives today.
