Howie Tax Issue About to Fade
South Dakota gubernatorial candidate Gordon Howie’s delinquent property taxes on some of his business properties has received the expected plethora of exposure in the newspapers and blogosphere. Now that he has a property sale pending and is about to be caught up, will the media and the liberal blogosphere pays as much attention to this development as they did his tax liability? Time will tell…
Communist China: An Increasingly Imperialistic Threat
So often these days, I have to wonder if the people running the United States have a collective death wish. While we curtail our own military and send billions of dollars every year in trade to communist China, they are using our dollars to build weapons systems to destroy our aircraft carriers, challenge our most advanced fighters, and expand their military power like never before.
Criminal Probes in All the Wrong Places
Isn’t it just swell that the Obama Administration has sent Attorney General Eric Holder down to the Gulf Coast to declare that they will be conducting civil and criminal probes into the BP oil spill? What about launching a criminal probe into the Obama Administration’s attempting to bribe a Pennsylvania congressman?
Liberals Mounting Fresh Assault on Free Speech
Liberals have long wanted to muzzle conservatives through the re-implementation of the un-American Fairness Doctrine, but they have been working to silence their critics from fresh trails lately. Howie Announces Gubernatorial Running Mate
South Dakota gubernatorial candidate Gordon Howie announced today that he has asked former Sioux Falls mayoral candidate and alderman Kermit Staggers to be his running mate in his bid for governor of South Dakota on the Republican ticket. The choice continues to be very clear: South Dakota can vote for the stand-out common sense traditional values that made us great, or more of the same old smack that got us into this mess.
The Census Sting: Tax Dollars at Play
James O’Keefe, a young investigative reporter who has nailed ACORN and was himself stung while trying to sting Senator Mary Landrieu’s (D-LA) staff, has once again infiltrated the dirty world of wasted taxpayer dollars at the hands of the federal government. Hired as a census worker, O’Keefe found that pay practices were pretty lax, and supervisors encouraged payroll fraud.
Montana Medical Marijuana Not Working Out Too Well
Montana is the latest state to find out that all is not bliss after legalizing “medical” marijuana.” They are becoming acquainted with violence, assaults, break-ins, robberies, and firebombings. Montanans are also finding out how easy it is to get “certified” to smoke “medical” marijuana, especially from drive-by-night doctors who write a few prescriptions and move on to another city to write more.
Munsterman to Forego Naming Lt Gov Running Mate
With candidates on both sides of the political aisle naming their prospective Lt. Governor selections, GOP Gubernatorial Candidate Scott Munsterman has his own unique solution – removing the rubber stamp selection process, and letting the candidates for the office of Lt. Governor stand on their own merits.
Veterans and their families have been there
Memorial Day 2010 was observed Monday in most of the communities in South Dakota. It was a patriotic holiday, but it was so much more than that. It was a day to remember and honor those American service men and women who paid the highest price for their country. Sadly, far too many Americans have no memory of what those in our nation’s military service did.
