Citizens for Liberty Legislative & Congressional Candidate Q & A
Citizens for Liberty is hosting a legislative and congressional candidate question and answer session on Friday May 21 at 6:30 pm in the Ramkota Washington Room. Area candidates for the South Dakota Legislature have been invited to attend, and for the U.S. House race, candidates Chris Nelson and Kristi Noem will be featured.
The Church in the U.S. Capitol Building
In his latest Stoplight, Stuart Shepard takes us to a place where many church services have been held–some recently–that would make secularists swallow their snuff: inside the U.S. Capitol Building. Interestingly, Thomas Jefferson–the adopted patron saint of secularists–approved of and attended church services in this government building of government buildings.
New Trend: ‘Rule of Law’ Cities
While you have liberal idiots like those running Los Angeles who want to boycott Arizona for having the gall to enforce existing law against illegal aliens, other cities like Costa Mesa, California are acting in the American way and affirming the rule of law. In fact, they so strongly affirm the rule of law that, unlike the “sanctuary cities” that have decided to be sanctuaries for lawbreakers and invaders, they actually call themselves a “rule of law” city.
Go Ahead, Los Angeles: Really Boycott Arizona
Remember recently when the idiot liberals running Los Angeles voted to boycott Arizona for having the audacity to enforce the law that the federal government ignores with regard to illegal aliens? Arizona Corporation Commissioner Gary Pierce recommends Los Angeles be true to their convictions and boycott the 25% of their power that they receive from Arizona.
SDFPC Hosts RC School Board Candidate Forum
The South Dakota Family Policy Council held their monthly luncheon at the Black Hills Fellowship Church today. In addition to many announcements about community developments and events, today’s event featured a question and answer session with three candidates for Rapid City School Board: Daphne Richards-Cook (Area 6), Jeff Nelson (Area 6) and Brad Otten (Area 3).
Gordon Howie: The Only Candidate
Gordon Howie’s newest ad is now out on YouTube, and it points out the differences between the “Tea Party Republican” and a couple of his competitors. Voters can opt for someone who is committed to the values that made our state and nation great, or they can opt for more of the same old stuff…but the choice is clear.
FEMA Photographer: Get Those Religious T-Shirts Out of the Video
A videographer covering tornado relief efforts in Mississippi recently asked Salvation Army workers to take off their t-shirts before appearing on camera because of the Christian logo on the shirts. Thankfully, FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate denounced this behavior, but the fact that it happened at all illustrates a greater problem in today’s culture.
Howie: Kentucky, Pennsylvania Primaries Show Tea Party Vote Crucial
With the eyes of the nation focused on Senate races in both Kentucky and Pennsylvania, South Dakota Gubernatorial candidate, Gordon Howie says he’s happier than ever to be the “Tea Party Candidate for Governor.” Results from Tuesday’s races show Tea Party voters proved pivotal in delivering wins for their preferred candidates in both Kentucky and Pennsylvania.
We the People Move to Take Govt Back From Socialists
Another big win last night was Rand Paul in Kentucky. Paul, who was backed by the Tea Party, won big over establishment-backed Trey Grayson. Some in the GOP still just don’t get it: people don’t want more liberal-lite. e made it clear who he was aligned with…and it wasn’t the fat-cat establishment, or the people who live with their hands in the pockets of the taxpayers, or those who bribe the taxpayers with their own money
How Hot Air Produces a Snow Job
Randy Rasmussen points out in his latest article the irony of the introduction of the Senate’s cap and trade global warming bill on the same day it was snowing in South Dakota, as well as the hypocrisy of the hysteria over Black Hills Power’s recent rate increase back-to-back with the silence over the cap and trade rate increase that will make BHP’s look like chump change.
2010 Ford Expedition Jack Bauer Edition
24 was great last night, wasn’t it? That worthless excuse for a president Charles Logan finally got what was coming to him. Apparently Bauer’s unique brand of national defense has inspired Ford, in the same vein as the Eddie Bauer edition, to come out with the 2010 Ford Expedition Jack Bauer Edition.
Gore Inspires Graduates With Tales of Doom and Ruin
Al Gore sure knows how to give an inspirational commencement speech, doesn’t he? Hey you graduates of the University of Tennessee, the world stinks. It’s a terrible place filled with danger and environmental destruction. In fact, if you’re not careful, you’ll probably end up a wrecker of worlds yourself by heating up our planet with your evil capitalism, gushing oil over our virgin planet and destroying pretty birds, mining on the mountains and spilling debris on the little people below you, using coal…
Who’s Coming Across America’s Borders?
Getting control of our borders is just a ploy to foster racial hatred against Hispanics, right? If you think so, you’ve been drinking the liberal Koolaid way too long. In addition to the need for sane immigration controls, control of our borders is a matter of national security. Nothing demonstrates this so well as the list of violators caught from countries like Yemen, Afghanistan, Egypt, Iran, Iraq and more.
KOTA Hit Job on Citizens for Liberty
Last Thursday, KOTA broadcast a so-called story at 5:30 pm and 10:00 pm which contained errors and snide allegations about Rapid City Tea Party group Citizens for Liberty. After the recent dustup over former KOTA anchor Shad Olson, many people are wondering if KOTA is trying to punish Citizens for Liberty.
Where Girls Are Men and Men Are Scared
After more than four decades of gender-neutral propaganda, we have not only not achieved neutrality but have seen a perverse reaction. Boys are increasingly becoming more feminine and girls are becoming more masculine. Boys are increasingly vain, fashion-obsessed wimps with a duty to nothing but themselves and girls are increasingly becoming sexual aggressors who are brawling on the soccer field.
