Is President Barack Obama making another push for curtailing freedom of speech and freedom of the press as his Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan has argued? He now claims that information is a distraction and it threatens our country and our democracy. Well, in a socialist state, too much information certainly would be a threat to the rulers.
An article from Salon shows a mostly unvarnished look inside the liberal mind that loathes America’s great history and values. It is transparently entitled “What’s with conservatives’ fetish for the Founding Fathers?” Perhaps liberals truly don’t understand why conservatives have such great respect for the Founders, but this demented piece reveals far more about the lack of value for America found in the liberal mind than it reveals about patriotic Americans.
The unrest and socialism in Greece should serve as a warning about where the socialists in the United States are taking our country. If we want to see the riots and burning cities now happening in Greece, we need only continue on Obama’s present course and wait a few years.
Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan argued that congress has constitutional authority to forbid companies and other private groups to publish political pamphlets–though it remains unclear exactly where in the First Amendment she finds congressional authority for this among the words “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
This is the latest video ad from Gordon Howie for South Dakota governor. In this day and age where most people go with the flow, compromise, stay with the herd and try to make people believe “they’re with you,” Gordon Howie has never been afraid to stand with and for the values that make our state and nation successful.
I’m not really sure whether the children in this video are Mexicans or Americans, but what isn’t hard to tell is that these belligerent young people who are living in the United States hold Mexico in higher regard than they country in which they currently live. This is evidenced by the chants about Mexico, the waving of the Mexican flags, and the disrespectful behavior displayed toward the American flag.
