Threats to Property Rights Continue
It appears government is once again going to be allowed to play the overlord and crush private property rights by favoring one private entity over another. And when government plays favorites over freedom between two private parties, almost always it is the one with the lesser financial muscle who gets the short end.
Group Opposes Planned Franklin Graham Speech at Pentagon
Evangelist Franklin Graham is scheduled to speak at the Pentagon on the National Day of Prayer. But his invitation has riled up at least one group which is demanding a more “inclusive speaker” for the event on May 6. The Military Religious Freedom Foundation opposes the invitation because Graham said Islam is an “evil” religion, and because of his ties to the National Day of Prayer Task Force.
First Amendment Suspended at White House?
A group of six homosexuals in military uniform handcuffed themselves to the fence in front of the White House today. The reaction? No less than six police cruisers, at least three police motorcycles, and two paddy wagons responded to apprehend the nonviolent protesters and remove the public and the media from the area. Was this a homophobic reaction by President Obama? Does homophobia justify the suspension of the First Amendment?
The National Biometric ID Card: The Mark of the Beast?
As technology grows more sophisticated and the government and its corporate allies further refine their methods of keeping tabs on the American people, those of us who treasure privacy increasingly find ourselves engaged in a struggle to maintain our freedoms in the midst of the modern surveillance state.
Amnesty International to US: Spread the Wealth, or You Violate Civil Rights
Amnesty International is pushing us to embrace the UN in further enslaving our citizens under the guise of “humanitarian assistance.” Ironically, the overarching slogan of the Amnesty report is, “Demand Dignity.” But, where is the dignity in living on handouts? Where is the dignity in taking money that you haven’t earned?
Leftists: Committing Sedition and Condemning Patriotism

Obama Bids Farewell to American Leadership in Space
President Obama says he is increasing NASA’s budget…but virtually eliminating anything to do with manned space flight. Our aging space shuttle program is to completely be shut down…with not only no replacement in sight, but no plans for a new replacement. If Americans want to get into space, we’ll have to hitch a ride with the Russians. Just another front in Barack Obama’s war on American exceptionalism.
Federal Judge Rules National Day of Prayer Unconstitutional
Just weeks away from the annual National Day of Prayer, a federal judge ruled on Thursday that the day is unconstitutional. U.S. District Judge Barbara Crabb struck down a federal statute creating the “National Day of Prayer,” concluding that it connotes endorsement and encouragement of a particular religious exercise.
New Initiative to Protect Religious Freedom
A Christian legal group has launched a new effort aimed at protecting churches from excessive and unconstitutional government intrusion. Launched Wednesday, Alliance Defense Fund’s Church Project provides legal information to pastors and ministry leaders on how to defend their religious freedom in America as well as practical guidelines on issues such as public funding and hiring policies.
Christians Divided Over Right Response to Pro-Homosexual ‘Day of Silence’
For the past few years, Christian groups have been divided over how to respond to the annual Day of Silence. Some urge parents to pull their children from school that day in protest. They say the observance is not as innocuous as it seems. Others encourage Christian students to attend school and show support for school safety for all students, not just homosexual ones.
