“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!” – Samuel Adams

Only a Third of Americans Believe Global Warming is Human-Caused

Good news!  What is perhaps the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on humanity is now sliding toward the ash heap of history: the hypothesis of anthropogenic global warming.

The hypothesis never got much support beyond “fudged” computer models and a lot of conjecture and hysteria, but Al Gore and his fellow apostles of environmental doom wanted everyone to believe that all scientists believed it, and you should, too.  Even the so-called “consensus” claim was a hoax; tens of thousands of scientists never bought it.  Socialists like Al Gore simply wanted to appeal to people’s “herd instinct” and motivate them to move in the direction they perceived the herd was going.

People were already realizing in greater numbers that anthropogenic global warming claims were nothing but hot air, but when it was revealed that the Climate Research Unit in England, one of about four sources for all the “information” supporting the hypothesis of AGW, was playing fast and loose with the data, ClimateGate accelerated the demise of this already-thin theory.

Now Rasmussen Reports has conducted a poll and found that only 1/3 of Americans are drinking the global warming Koolaid.

Forty-eight percent (48%) of voters say global warming is caused by long-term planetary trends, while only 33% blame human activity. These results are identical to those found last month.

The survey also found that people aren’t buying any tripe they are fed just because it is supposedly “science” and comes from so-called “scientists“:

Fifty-nine percent (59%) also said it’s at least somewhat likely that some scientists have falsified research data to support their own theories and beliefs about global warming.

The overwhelming majority of Americans are coming out of the fog and getting their heads right that this nonsense should not be allowed to cripple our economy as the socialists are so eager to accomplish:

Seventy-one percent (71%) of Americans say stimulating the economy to create more jobs is a bigger priority for U.S. leaders than stopping global warming to protect the environment.

The real science points overwhelmingly to the conclusion that climate change has been going on in cycles for thousands of years, with extremes in the past being much greater than anything seen in modern times.

It’s refreshing to see more and more Americans all the time rejecting the lies of these greedy environmental hypocrites.   But with the socialists in our government still determined to subjugate the American people under a cap and trade tax hoax, we need like never before to make it clear to our leaders we will not tolerate this assault on our freedom and prosperity.

  1. But, I saw it on a movie and on the “news”. It must be true.

  2. I am skeptical about AGW, but just as skeptical about polls of everyday, busy Americans who apparently claim to have attained scientific knowledge on issues like AGW and with scientific facts at their sides, refute or promote AGW with facts and not opinion.

My hat goes off to them :-)

  3. Simple common sense equipped with a few basic facts is enough to realize the hypothesis of AGW is complete hooey.

  4. Well, common sense and a few basic facts is also what people used when once claiming to know the sun rotated around the earth :-)

  5. Good point. However, the burden of proof is on the promoters of the
hypothesis, and the evidence to the contrary is both immense in size
and powerful in its simple, direct implications.
