Restoring South Dakota’s Health Care Freedom Act
State Senator and Gubernatorial candidate Gordon Howie says it’s not too late to stop government run health care in South Dakota. He is inviting all liberty-minded citizens to join him at the Health Care Freedom Rally at 12:15 on Wednesday, March 24th at the Best Western Ramkota in Rapid City regarding the Health Care Freedom Act he submitted to the South Dakota Legislature.
SD Farm Bureau Opposed to EPA Regulation of Green House Gases
The South Dakota Farm Bureau has announced their opposition to efforts by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to regulate greenhouse gases. If the proposed EPA changes are enacted, job creation could be jeopardized and lead to significant burdens on energy-efficient technology investment, cause an increase in energy markets and natural gas prices, and the ability to move forward on a reasonable climate policy.
EPA Restrictions Would Harm Tourism
Pennington County commissioners realize new EPA restrictions could hurt the tourism that the Black Hills area so heavily relies upon, including Wind Cave. If the restrictions are tightened the county may be forced to limit the number of tourists who can visit the area, affecting the state’s number one industry.
Poll: Approval of Dem Leadership in the Basement
A couple of the self-appointed Saviors of America and Rulers of Our Lives in Washington D.C. just aren’t receiving the praise they should. I mean, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senator Harry Reid have volunteered themselves to make personal decisions that Americans used to be burdened to make for themselves, and have even stepped in to tell us how we should best spend the money we earn…and people just don’t appreciate them.
The Right Not To Be Offended: The Supreme Court and Religion
The First Amendment right to free speech is on life support. And with its recent refusal to review the case of Nurre v. Whitehead, the Supreme Court may have pulled the plug. We are witnessing the emergence of an unstated yet court-sanctioned right, one that makes no appearance in the Constitution and yet seems to trump the First Amendment at every turn: the right to not be offended.

The horrific sketch was titled “Terri Schiavo: The Musical.”
Health Care Bill in Conflict with Congressional Budget Act of 1974
Newsmax reports last night’s unconstitutional government health care bill may not fly based on more than constitutional grounds (sounds odd to say that something might be “more” than the Constitution, but congressional socialists last night made it clear that the Constitution is an irrelevant document in their eyes).
The Battle May Be Lost, but the War is Not
Despite the victory lap House Democrats took on Capitol Hill last night, and Barack Obama at the White House, the American people should not be disheartened. It was for their efforts alone that this process divided the Congressional majority for a year, making it long, bloody, and costly. The American people should take heart because this was but one single battle. The war is not lost.
Plan to Reintroduce the South Dakota Health Care Freedom Act
South Dakota state Senator Gordon Howie who is running for South Dakota governor introduced a bill in the 2010 legislative session to protect South Dakota against ObamaCare, but Republicans voted it down. Now Howie has a plan to reintroduce the South Dakota Health Care Freedom Act. After last night’s vote, it is more important than ever to protect the freedom and property of South Dakotans against this unconstitutional bill.
Socialized Health Care: Visions of the Future
At this sadly historic time when the United States Congress has chosen to completely turn its back on the United States Constitution and force unprecedented levels of socialism on the American people, we need to be looking ahead to what is coming. One vision of the future is very dark and unpleasant, with all the freedom and prosperity we have known being extinguished. The other isn’t full of pleasant things either, but does offer some hope.
‘Of course, Health Reform Bill is socialism’: Sharpton
Prominent racist and anti-semite “Rev.” Al Sharpton, in an interview with Geraldo Rivera made an astonishing admission tonight. Following the historic House vote to dismantle our republic Rivera commented to Sharpton that some would consider this vote to be a major move toward socialism in America.

Stupak: Traded 30 Years for 30 Pieces of Silver
Word came today that Rep. Bart Stupak (D–MI) has caved on his opposition to the unconstitutional government health care bill. In the end, all it took was a promise of a silly “executive order” from the most pro-abortion president in history that President Barack Obama used to placate Stupak. Everyone who’s ever tried throughout history has learned the lesson: don’t get between an American and his freedom. Apparently it’s time some people in Washington learned that lesson, too.
SD Gov Candidate Howie: State Failed to Protect Against ObamaCare
In a statement issued from Sioux Falls today, State Senator and Gubernatorial candidate Gordon Howie addressed the current vote on the Federal health care bill. “It is unfortunate that the Governor and some leaders in Pierre worked to kill my health care freedom bill,” remarked Howie. “The deal making in Washington serves as a reminder that we must work together to protect our constitutional rights as a State and as individuals.”
Socialized Health Care Paves the Way for Another Society
There are fundamental differences between other countries that have adopted socialized health care systems that raise the serious question of whether the same assumptions would hold true in the United States. A single payer universal health care system is a foreign concept and runs counter to American traditional values.
