Open wide: Dems plan to ram it down whole

The Slaughter Rule would allow House members to avoid going on the record as having voted for health care reform, complete with language that allows government payment for elective abortions. This is an under-handed, disingenuous attempt to shove this monstrosity down the throats of Americans who have made it very clear that they want none of this overt socialist take-over of one-sixth of our economy.
The swamp has become deeper, darker and more fetid under Madam Pelosi and this is yet another devouring, unholy beast arising from the slime and muck.
From Stop the ACLU we are informed of yet another attempt to ram this abomination through, against the will of two-thirds of Americans. It seems they are willing to irrevocably split this country and risk civil strife or worse just to save this President. On top of the economy, jobs, Afghanistan, record deficits, and on and on, they would sow this country with the seeds of our destruction—from a free and self-sufficient government for and by the People to a dependent nanny-state with all power vested in a centralized government; the Constitution reduced to a meaningless rag fit only for derision.

“House Rules Chairwoman Louise Slaughter is prepping to help usher the healthcare overhaul through the House and potentially avoid a direct vote on the Senate overhaul bill, the chairwoman said Tuesday.
“Slaughter is weighing preparing a rule that would consider the Senate bill passed once the House approves a corrections bill that would make changes to the Senate version.
“Slaughter has not taken the plan to Speaker Pelosi as Democrats await CBO scores on the corrections bill. ‘Once the CBO gives us the score, we’ll spring right on it,’ she said.”

GOVERNMENTAL ABUSE ALERT! I wish people would stop talking about the Academy Awards and start paying attention Washington….Not Avatar, it's a fairytale, this is real life.
Well at least the House members will have to openly vote on whether or not to pass the Slaughter Rule and in doing so will be tacitly voting for the Senate Bill as well. They will still be exposed and even seen as more under-handed.
The savvy Public will see right through this and get on them like hound dogs, before such a vote even occurs, which is my hope and suspicion.
Dr. Theo, if I weren't so enraged at the communists that have taken over our country, I would be numb at this point. But, they should make no mistake–we are not numb–we remain enraged and engaged, and we will not stand for the dictatorial takeover of our country by a bunch of ex-sixties-hippy-radicals!
Thank you, also, for the other piece you posted regarding dearpolitician.org. That's a good resource. What can we do besides pound these [insert your favorite--possibly vulgar, because of sheer anger and frustration--derogatory label of these "people" in power in Washington here] with our messages?

Gina, I believe you can take some satisfaction in knowing that you didn't sit idly and stupidly by while our country and constitution were under the most aggressive and dangerous assault since the war between the states. By speaking out, talking to others, supporting the few that deserve our support and being a source of information for family and friends you are taking the role expected by the Founders–an engaged and informed electorate with opinions informed by a moral foundation and commitment to our Constitution. That's what was envisioned as requisite to a nation for the people, of the people and by the people. Thank you for your efforts, your faith and your prayers.

Very well put, Doc. A lot of us have been alert,informed and engaged. But there are a lot of people getting nervous and looking for answers. They are showing up in groves via internet, talk shows, and civil rallies. We must continue sound out so they don't feel alone when they come looking. If they get this Slaughter Rule enacted, more people will come running. Lets hope they do. Thank you for drawing my attention to this.
