Canadian Premier Flees Government Health Care to United States
The socialists in the American government expect us to ditch our free-market (relatively speaking) health care system for a socialist health care system like that of England or Canada?
I never have thought that was a good idea; I did, after all, live in England for three years under their National Health Service.
But I’m even less enthusiastic about embracing socialized health care now that I hear Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada Danny Williams, who needs heart surgery, is, rather than having it done in his own country, is instead coming to the evil, capitalist, profit-driven United States to have the surgery.
From the Canadian National Post:
Mr. Williams’ decision to leave Canada for the surgery has raised eyebrows over his apparent shunning of Canada’s health-care system.
“It was never an option offered to him to have this procedure done in this province,” said Ms. Dunderdale, refusing to answer whether the procedure could be done elsewhere in Canada.
Mr. Williams, 59, has said nothing of his health in the media.
If he waited in line with the rest of the unwashed masses, he’d have to wait 180 days to get his heart surgery. Government health care: oh, so wonderful.
If a Canadian leader won’t use their government health care system, what does that say for socialized medicine? In the three years I lived in England, spending countless hours with countless British friends from various walks of life, I never once heard a British citizens speak well of their National Health Service (most of what they said about it isn’t fit to print on what I try to maintain as a family-friendly website).
And these idiots in Washington D.C. still insist on forcing this crap on the free American people? We must waste no time in ridding our government of these hostiles, and must work diligently to hold them as accountable as possible until we can begin doing that in November.
