Credit Culture – Incentivizing Greed and Irresponsibility

Credit Culture – Incentivizing Greed and Irresponsibility

On February 22, 2010, nine months after President Obama signed the legislation, new credit card rules designed to protect consumers from the unscrupulous and manipulative tactics of credit card companies went into effect. It didn’t take long, however, for consumer advocacy groups and others to point out that, in addition to making it more difficult for card companies to gouge their customers, the Credit CARD Act will make it a lot more difficult and a lot more expensive for everyday Americans to get, and keep, a credit card.

We need green money, not green jobs

We need green money, not green jobs

Poor folks don’t need socialism or green jobs. They need green money. They’ll get more of it being free, going to school, getting married and going to work.

Tea Party Movement Spreads to the UK

Apparently the Tea Party movement has spread from the United States where it was born a year ago to the United Kingdom. The universal human yearning is for freedom, and is obviously not confined to one nation or people.

Global Warming Myth Buried Under Snowstorm of Hubris

Global Warming Myth Buried Under Snowstorm of Hubris

In March of 2000, the UK Independent ran this headline, “Snowfalls are now just a thing of the past.” Fast forward ten years and the UK Express headline for 23 February blares, “UK Braced For Yet More Snow Storms.” God is not the author of confusion; Al Gore holds claim to that title.

S. O. S. – Speaking of Seniors: Medicare Mistake Threatened Stroke or Heart Attack

Both a husband and wife who are clients of this insurance agency visited our office and each seemed so excited and upset that either of them could have had a heart attack or stroke right in our office.

Evil Engineering

External factors are only symptoms and not the causes of evil engineering. Uncivility in people, as well, is just a symptom of a deeper problem. The causes have to do with spiritual depravity and degeneration in those who turn away from God, and those who never seek to know Him in the first place.

The Party of Hell No!

It’s apparently obvious to the President and his handlers that people have seen through the hype and are mobilizing to excise them and their Progressive aberration from the body politic so they’re relying on their tried and true playbook, misdirect, mislead, mislabel and conquer.

World Trade Center Government Incompetence

World Trade Center Government Incompetence

Here we are, going on nine years after the 911 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center, and the effort to rebuild (and shake a defiant fist in the face of the evil dirtbags who destroyed them) has been stymied by the usual government bumbling.

Textbook in India Features Beer-Drinking, Smoking Jesus

An illustration of Jesus holding a can of beer in one hand and a cigarette in the other has sparked outrage among India’s Christian community. What’s worse is that the image was published in a textbook for primary school children.

Global Warming & Healthcare Coverage Linked by Playground Activities

Global Warming & Healthcare Coverage Linked by Playground Activities

The mention of global warming nearly always takes me to thoughts of the healthcare issue being played out on the Washington, DC playground.  A playground that seems to have more than its fair share of bullies strutting around.  Bullies that seem to think we are simply to take their word for whatever the issue, but especially global warming […]

Rapid City Government Spiraling Out of Control

Rapid City Government Spiraling Out of Control

The slow-motion circus that has become the Rapid City Council has been going on for several years. The censure of Alderman Sam Kooiker last week, and revelations of inaction over fraud at the city landfill, are only the latest installments of a government that is imploding.
