Republicans Looking Strong for 2010
Things aren’t looking too bad for the GOP in 2010.
The latest Rasmussen poll finds that on a generic ballot, Republicans are way ahead of Democrats:
The new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 44% would vote for their district’s Republican congressional candidate while 35% would opt for his or her Democratic opponent.
While the Republican lead has reached a new high, it should be noted that support for GOP candidates rose just one point over the past week, while support for Democrats dropped four points to its lowest level in years.
Could last year’s unprecedented push for socialism (controlling banks, controlling the auto industry, wasting the taxpayer’s money on the Cash for Clunkers scam, the cap and trade global warming tax scam, the socialized health care scam, and so much more) have something to do with this?
Captain Obvious says: Yes!
Even in the People’s Republic of Massachusetts, where the Kennedy’s have ruled with an iron fist and ultra-liberalism has reigned supreme for ages, Republican state Senator Scott Brown isn’t nearly as far behind in the upcoming special election on Jan. 19 as you would imagine in such a Marxist enclave.
While the socialist (Democrat) State Attorney General Martha Coakley is ahead of Brown 50-41%, the strong segment of likely voters (who see the candidates as “very” favorable or “very” unfavorable”) tells an interesting story:
Twenty-one percent (21%) of those likely to vote in the special election have a very favorable opinion of Coakley, while 22% have a Very Unfavorable view.
For Brown, the numbers are 25% very favorable and 5% very unfavorable.
I’m hearing that while Brown was considered a long-shot candidate, he is beginning to show some strong signs.
If Republicans can just keep their heads out of whatever dark place they are wont to shove them so often, they might just make a historic sweep of congress in 10 months.
