Reid Furious With McCain the Republican

Senator Harry Reid is worked up that Senator John McCain doesn’t seem to be acting like a RINO anymore.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said he has been “shocked” by the behavior of John McCain since he returned to the Senate from his failed White House bid.
“My disappointment — no, that’s the wrong word; I’ll try to find a better word. My amazement has been John McCain,” Reid angrily declared.
“I thought he’d turn out to be a statesman, work for things. He’s against everything. He’s against everything! He didn’t used to be against everything.”

Wow! This good news! Did McCain finally grow a spine? Did he finally decide to be a Republican?

Or did his failed presidential campaign finally teach him a lesson he’s needed for about the last 10 years: the “mainstream” media only love you when you’re bashing and obstructing Republican policy?

If this isn’t just an aberration, and if Reid isn’t just being extra prickly, perhaps we can really hope that McCain has finally grasped that “mainstream” media love only lasts as long as you’re the most liberal guy in the room.

Another thought: McCain is up for re-election this year, and with the Tea Party movement, it’s going to be a tough year for RINOs. Perhaps the McCain leopard wants to change his spots, a RINO putting on elephant’s clothing?
