Head of NASA’s Goddard Institute Supports End of Industrial Civilization
NASA is not a political organization, but a scientific one, right? We’d all like to think so, but there is more than enough evidence to realize that, like the vast majority of “science” these days, it has become a very political organization.
Consider that, as much as we would like to think scientists (unlike the rest of us human beings) would never fudge research data, a study published in the science journal PLoS ONE found a disturbing amount of research is falsified and fabricated. A huge number even admitted to questionable research practices themselves.
Consider also that while solar data from NASA indicates the sun has a significant effect on the earth’s climate (can you say, “Duh”? I knew you could), all we hear about from our government and our so-called scientific organizations is that it is our evil SUVs and our evil power plants that are heating up the planet. Our own government “scientific” agencies won’t even admit to information they occasionally slip up and let out–information which counters their hysterical claims about our planet.
Some people have even been trying to get a look at the raw data from NASA, only to be stonewalled in a way quite reminiscent of the now-discredited Climate Research Unit in England. I am referring, of course, to the so-called “scientific” organization that we now know through their exposed emails and documents to have been fudging data and using “tricks” to hide the recent decline in temperatures…and who stonewalled Freedom of Information requests for data.
NASA, and organization ostensibly dedicated to space exploration and space science, is even so political that they spend significant time and energy (at taxpayer expense) celebrating an unhealthy and immoral sexual practice–one which, I might add, has nothing whatsoever to do with the exploration and understanding of outer space.
So it comes as no surprise to hear from James Delingpole in the British Telegraph about the extremism of the head of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), Dr James Hansen.
Delingpole reminds us that Hansen’s former supervisor, Dr John Theon, describes Hansen, not as a scientist, but as an “activist.” Theon even says Hansen was an “embarrassment” to NASA by jumping the gun and telling Congress that human activity was causing global warming, even though we know too little about climate science to be even remotely sure of that.
Delingpole writes to tell us that Hansen supports an extremist book by Keith Farnish called “Time’s Up” or “A Matter Of Scale” in its free online format. So what is Farish’s answer to the alleged human activity which is allegedly warming our planet? Oh, nothing extreme…just go back to the mid-1800s.
Yes, you heard right:
The only way to prevent global ecological collapse and thus ensure the survival of humanity is to rid the world of Industrial Civilization.
You know what it was like before the rise of industrial civilization; even the pathetic job our public schools are doing couldn’t have shielded you from a basic understanding of how the world was just 150 years ago: no cars, no airplanes, no computers, no telephones, no TV, no radio, no electricity, rudimentary running water, no central heat, no air conditioning, no lights other than candles and kerosene laps. Oh, and let’s not forget about a whole lot of disease and deprivation.
Farish is also a Malthusian population control fanatic who believes human beings are a plague on the earth. I don’t see him lining up to be the first to go, but no doubt he’s all for abortion, euthanasia and any other method of getting rid of “undesirable” human beings.
So what does Hansen have to say about this radical’s radical work?
Keith Farnish has it right: time has practically run out, and the ’system’ is the problem. Governments are under the thumb of fossil fuel special interests – they will not look after our and the planet’s well-being until we force them to do so, and that is going to require enormous effort.
Actually, our government demonizes the fossil fuel industry at every opportunity; our current president once said his plan was to bankrupt the coal industry. Our government is filled in the executive and legislative branches with environmental extremists who loathe the very engine of our modern civilization, and I have no doubt that at least a few members of our judicial branch feel likewise.
Let’s be clear about the hypothesis of anthropogenic global warming: there is nothing but flawed computer models and a lot of conjecture to support this crazy theory. A mountain of scientific and historical evidence points overwhelmingly to natural climate change that has been going on in up and down cycles for thousands of years with much of it far more extreme than in the modern industrial age.
Let’s be clear about who and what we’re backing when we jump on board with these so-called “scientists” who peddle this tripe. Dr. James Hansen, a prominent leader in one of the world’s major “scientific” organizations, tells us we must abandon industrial civilization. Hansen is only one example of the many loons like this with which our government is filled.
Now more than ever, it is important that sensible, thinking Americans get busy in 2010 to recruit, support and campaign for red-blooded patriotic Americans who will run for public office. We need people who posses common sense (which is not as common as it should be), who see through this kind of socialist anti-American nonsense to run for office at all levels: city, county, school board, state, and federal. If you can’t or won’t run for office, you need to find someone who will and back them with your campaign contributions and/or volunteer time to help them get elected.
America has, under the Obama Administration, received a look at the radicals and the radicalism they have in mind for our country. This look has served as a wakeup call to many, and this is why we have seen the rise out of nowhere of the Tea Party movement and all the everyday Americans showing up at town hall meetings to take their leaders to task.
Our nation hangs on the edge of a precipice, and 2010 is the year we may pull her back from it…or watch our country tip irrevocably over the edge.
Get informed. Get involved. Time is short. We must cleans our government–our government–of these elements who are so hostile to our interest. We must do it now.
