Bellweather Polling Finds Brown Blasting to Double-Digit Lead in Mass.

The latest polling brings more bad news for socialist, er, Democrat candidate Martha Coakley, who is running against Republican Scott Brown for the U.S. Senate seat from Massachusetts.

From MyFoxBoston:

The bellwether polling, conducted Saturday, Jan. 16, and Sunday, Jan. 17, shows:

Brown (55%) leads Coakley (40%) by 15 points in Gardner. Independent candidate Joseph L. Kennedy polls 2%, while 3% are undecided.

In Fitchburg, Brown (55%) has a 14-point lead over Coakley (41%), with 2% for Kennedy and 2% undecided.

Peabody voters give Brown (57%), a 17-point lead over Coakley (40%), with Kennedy polling 1% and 3% undecided.

The bellwether polls are designed to predict outcomes and not margins. Suffolk’s bellwether polls have been 96% accurate in picking straight-up winners when taken within three days of an election since 2006.

That’s pretty accurate. No wonder we began to hear reports over the weekend that the White House doesn’t think Coakley can win this thing, and today we’re hearing that the socialists, er, Democrats in congress are looking for a way to shove government health care down the throats of the American people without needing 60 votes.

There is always a lot of speculation about races like this special election and whether they portend things to come for the big November election.  Rasmussen has already taken a look at that question and has found that  people around the country are pulling for Brown to win:

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 49% of likely voters nationwide want Brown to win, while 34% are cheering on Coakley. Seventeen percent (17%) are undecided.

Given Massachusetts’ status as one of the most Democratic states in the country, it’s perhaps no surprise that the gap is somewhat narrower when voters are asked who they think will actually win the race. Forty-four percent (44%) predict Brown will be the winner, 35% say Coakley. Twenty-one percent (21%) aren’t sure.

Yes, when a state so liberal as to be known unofficially as “the People’s Republic of Massachusetts” appears to be ready to elect a Republican, you know Dems in Washington D.C. are quaking in their jack boots.

If Brown pulls off this coup, expect a total “mainstream” media meltdown Tuesday night as results come in.  I wouldn’t be surprised to see multiple and widespread pronouncements like we’ve already seen from David Schuster that the voters have lost their minds, or are completely stupid (yes, what voter in his right mind would not want to be told what to do by government bureaucrats, and be taxed more in exchange for crappy government services?). We might even see some 1994-esque drivel like that seen from CNN’s Bill Schneider that “The voters want Republicans and Democrats to work together.”

As for Chris Matthews, Instead of a tingle running up his leg, he’ll be having uncontrollable spasms and muscle cramps.

And be on the lookout for some brazenly underhanded maneuvers from the socialists in Washington D.C. as they seek to inflict as much damage as possible on America in their remaining nine months in power.
