Support for Socialized Health Care Continues to Drop
Support for government health care continues to drop like a rock, falling to anemic levels.
From Rasmussen Reports:
Only 27% of voters nationwide favor a single-payer health care system where the federal government provides coverage for everyone. That’s down five points from August.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 62% are opposed to a single-payer system and another 12% are undecided.
Of course, the socialists try to placate us by telling us they aren’t really looking for single payer in this bill…yet. But we know that whether single-payer is explicitly laid out in this bill or not, it will be a step in their plan for government to totally take over health care in America.
In August, support was only 32% for government health care, the most inefficient and costly method of dispensing health care known to man. Now, after President Obama has held a national television address from the U.S. House of Representatives and socialists in Washington have had three more months to sell their glorious revolution to the American people, support has dropped another five percentage points.
In the days when the “mainstream” media had a lock on information dissemination in this country, we might not have seen this. Pretty soon, only the hopelessly uninformed and the most dedicated of Marxists among us will be supporting this counterproductive plan.
But in today’s environment where we have Fox News, talk radio, and the internet, the American people have many more options for getting the scoop on issues without going through the pro-government message of the “mainstream” media.
Word has it the socialists Democrats in Washington desperately want to pass this un-American, un-Constitutional monstrosity before the Christmas break (they know having senators coming home to face the people they’re selling down the river they represent could be devastating to their hopes for passage afterward.
Now is the time to crank up the phone calls, emails and personal visits to your senators. Now is the time to let them know that if they vote for this effort to subvert free market health care, you will ensure they don’t get to return to Washington after their next election.
