Michael Moore Displays Disdain for U.S. Military Strength

MichaelMooreLiberals have become a lot smarter since their pathetic behavior during the Vietnam War (well, smarter in how to hide their true disgust at our country and its great institutions, anyway), so it’s more on the rare side today when you get an opportunity to see some of that good ole’ liberal disdain for America and its strength.

Michael Moore has supplied us such a brief moment.

From CNS News:

On Monday, in an open letter to President Obama, liberal film-maker Michael Moore asks Obama if he really wants to become the “new war president.” Moore tells Obama, “It is not your job to do what the generals tell you to do.”

In fact, Moore writes that Obama should have fired Gen. Stanley McChrystal when the general went public with his call for up to 40,000 additional U.S. troops. “Let me be blunt: We love our kids in the armed services, but we f*#&in’ hate these generals,” Moore said.

May I translate this liberal-speak?

“Let me be blunt: We love the free health care and college education our kids get in the armed services, but we f*#&in’ hate it when these generals actually employ our troops in the manner for which they were enlisted: to decimate the enemy.”

Our generals, none of which are perfect, are the men who have spent all of their adult lives learning to make war and keep the United States safe.  It is the job of our generals to, under civilian leadership, destroy the enemy’s capability to do harm to Americans and our allies.

Moore is like the high school malcontent who hates the f*#&in’ teacher who expects the students to listen in class and get their school work done.

Moore and his fellow flower children expected Obama to actually do as he indicated during the campaign and pull our forces out of Afghanistan and Iraq with their tail between their legs.  However, since he came to actually sit in the grownup’s chair in the Oval Office, Obama has realized that in order to curtain American strength and credibility on the war front while saving some modicum of credibility for himself, he can’t just fold up the lawn chairs and come home as if nothing ever happened.  He must at least act like he wants to defeat the terrorists…before slinking back home to give them free rein.

Moore is upset that President Barack Obama may actually have to prosecute war–an abhorrent thought for a liberal.  And that Obama might actually have to end our troops to kill peace-loving terrorists…oh, the horror.
