ClimateGate Sequel: From Russia, With Love

Russia has given the American people an early Christmas present.

More questions are emerging in the Climategate falsified research scandal, as the Moscow-based Institute of Economic Analysis (IEA) now says that climate warming “scientists” at the Hadley Center for Climate Change may have deliberately falsified Russian climate data. Indeed, some 40 percent of Russia’s territory has been excluded from the UN International Panel on Climate Change global temperature record.

This, as Barack Obama and his merry band of Congressional delegates travel to Copenhagen, Denmark to negotiate devastating cuts in carbon energy emissions in the industrialized world that will cost jobs, increase energy costs, and destroy lives.

All in the name of a “science” that is increasingly under suspicion of being faked.

As reported by the London Telegraph, on Tuesday the IEA “issued a report claiming that the Hadley Center for Climate Change based at the headquarters of the British Meteorological Office in Exeter (Devon, England) had probably tampered with Russian-climate data. The IEA believes that Russian meteorological-station data did not substantiate the anthropogenic global-warming theory.”

That’s pretty bad. According to the story, the Hadley Center only used about 25 percent of the station data gathered at the Russian stations. And the data stations located in areas not listed by Hadley showed no substantial warming in the late 20th Century and early 21st Century.

This resulted in skewed data. Reports Cato @ Liberty’s Andrei Illarionov, “The IEA authors calculated that the scale of actual warming for the Russian territory in 1877-1998 was probably exaggerated by 0.64°C. Since Russia accounts for 12.5% of the world’s land mass, such an exaggeration for Russia alone should have an impact on the IPCC claim that the global temperature in the last century has risen by 0.76°C.”

And, Illarionov continues, “If similar procedures have been used for processing climate data from other national data sources, the impact on the rate of change in global temperature would be considerable.”

This new eye-opener comes on the heels of the Climategate scandal itself when it was revealed that the Climatic Research Unit (CRU) at the University of East Anglia had apparently manipulated climate “change” data to hide the actual decline of the Earth’s temperatures, suppressed release of data, and stifled peer review.

Heretofore, the CRU has hidden behind the national meteorological centers that gathered the raw station data. On November 28th, the University of East Anglia’s (UEA) press release stated: “The University will make all the data accessible as soon as they are released from a range of non-publication agreements. Publication will be carried out in collaboration with the Met Office Hadley Centre. The procedure for releasing these data, which are mainly owned by National Meteorological Services (NMSs) around the globe, is by direct contact between the permanent representatives of NMSs (in the UK the Met Office).”

And, said the UEA’s Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Research Enterprise and Engagement Professor Trevor Davie in an earlier statement, “No record has been deleted, altered, or otherwise dealt with in any fashion with the intent of preventing the disclosure of all, or any part, of the requested information.”

Now, we know that the raw data provided by those national meteorological services may have been discounted when it did not suit the hypothesis of man-made global warming.

Barack Obama and his Congressional sidekicks should bear this in mind as they travel to Copenhagen. Indeed, it is cause to cancel the trip entirely in another early Christmas present for the American people—in this case, not wasting taxpayer money on political junkets to help falsify bogus science.

Thank you for actually researching this topic and giving us the news and details on this explosive topic. This evidence of deliberate cherry picking of data completely changes the complexion of this topic. Climategate was explosive enough, but this really is an incredible state of affairs. This should be headlines everywhere considering what is at stake in this debate.

Lord Christopher Monckton, reporting from the summit, has stated that the only goal of the conference was to implement the framework and the funding for a world government – which he asserts has been achieved.“That is the one thing that they are definitely going to succeed in doing here and they will announce that as a victory in itself, and they will be right because that is the one and only single aim of this entire global warming conference, to establish the mechanism, the structure, and above all the funding for a world government.” They are going to take from the western countries the very large financial resources required to do that.” Monckton said, adding “They will disguise it by saying they are setting up a $100 billion fund for adaptation to climate change in third world countries, but actually, this money will almost all be gobbled up by the international bureaucracy. The first thing they will do, and the one thing I think they were always going to succeed in doing at this conference is to agree to establish what will be delicately called ‘the institutional framework’. Now that is a code word for world government.
PS: We need to establish the truth about Climate Change from credible Scientists' stop these Climate Summits before we’re all Carbon taxed to death and acquire some UN and Elitist arrests! Like for example Al Gore! Folks we are actually dealing with criminals here! I don't know if the world figures them too big to arrest or what but our Sovereignty is in peril of being lost! Help me stop them by stepping up and making your opinions known! Check out what Government is doing behind your back at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VebOTc-7shU
PS: We are in danger because of left wingers who do not realize that this Climate Emissions Control comes not in defense of our planet but rather as an excuse for the United Nations, IMF, World Central Bank to capture us under Communism in a One World Govt.
We have now given the Global Elitists an ncome to establish a "New World Order", byallowing to establish a Carbon Tax in the nations that signed the agreement: China, South Africa, Columbia and America. They will know use these people's tax money to set a Communist Government around them! Whether they like it or not! Their total plan is to take over all the world that is ehy they keep having these Summits!

All told, (William) Connolley created or rewrote 5,428 unique Wikipedia articles. His control over Wikipedia was greater still, however, through the role he obtained at Wikipedia as a website administrator, which allowed him to act with virtual impunity. When Connolley didn’t like the subject of a certain article, he removed it — more than 500 articles of various descriptions disappeared at his hand. When he disapproved of the arguments that others were making, he often had them barred — over 2,000 Wikipedia contributors who ran afoul of him found themselves blocked from making further contributions. Acolytes whose writing conformed to Connolley’s global warming views, in contrast, were rewarded with Wikipedia’s blessings. In these ways, Connolley turned Wikipedia into the missionary wing of the global warming movement.

The Medieval Warm Period disappeared, as did criticism of the global warming orthodoxy. With the release of the Climategate Emails, the disappearing trick has been exposed. The glorious Medieval Warm Period will remain in the history books, perhaps with an asterisk to describe how a band of zealots once tried to make it disappear.
